Cottonwood Creek / Tim Darnell

by Heather D.

Here is the e-mail i sent to law enforcement concerning one of their long time members. It got Tim Darnell removed from the prison ministry:

Subject: Tim Darnell of Advantage Conferences Prison Ministry

To Whom it May Concern,

You have a Mr. Timothy Spencer Darnell leading prison ministry. This very dangerous and dishonest individual should not have any contact with any inmates under any circumstances. He is a serial scammer who has defrauded hundreds of people over twenty years and who has been involved in numerous questionable court cases and very serious threats.

The first thing you should know is he is not a citizen of the United States by choice. http://www.scribd.com/doc/6723166/sovereignaff1 Darnell wrote that to weasel out of a legitimate lawsuit filed by one of the hundreds of reps he has defrauded that was trying to recover their losses. When Darnell wants to frighten off people he has defrauded he sends out sickening threatening letters like these to silence those he has harmed. http://mysite.verizon.net/resurlf0/advantageconferencestruth/id10.html

Darnell threatened fellow church members from Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church and the McKinney police had to be contacted. Curtis Harrison was the attorney for his victims. Darnell was told by the police and that attorney to stop making threats. His testimony concerning that is in the document attached. If he had continued the DA would have gotten involved and possibly filed criminal charges. As he knew he could no longer make overt threats without risking jail time, he fabricated allegations that he was receiving death threats from me and being stalked by me. http://mysite.verizon.net/resurlf0/advantageconferencestruth/id46.html I turned myself in to the Allen Police and demanded they investigate, but they could not do anything without Tim Darnell making a report. http://www.scribd.com/doc/17376214/Police-Report Tim Darnells attorney submitted that very page summarizing the false claims he was making at the first hearing for the frivolous, harassment case he filed against me. That groundless filing was an effort to spend me into silence. The judge read those fabricated death threat and stalking allegations at the first hearing and dissolved the restraining order. Tim Darnell was denied any form of injunction. Tim Darnell had not one shred of evidence to support these vicious lies as I had never stalked him or threatened him in any way. He lost the case against me as he and his attorney never produced a single false statement made by me. http://www.scribd.com/doc/8264390/Tim-Darnell-Sues-Soapboxmom-

Tim Darnell filed and lost in Summary Judgment a frivolous, groundless harassment suit against the Better Business Bureau of Dallas. I posted and commented on all the court documents. The court documents confirmed a 98% loss rate for the participants in Advantage Conferences and it was litigated to be a pyramid scheme. Many of the reps they defrauded lost around $20,000.00.

Tim Darnell stole his churchs name to set up a bogus charity. http://www.scribd.com/doc/6723551/Church-Affidavit-732008

http://mysite.verizon.net/resurlf0/advantageconferencestruth/id44.html

Tim Darnell was involved in a scam virtually identical to Advantage Conferences which was also run out of his home. It ended with a bankruptcy and two hotels suing Darnell as the registered agent for that disaster of a business. http://www.scribd.com/doc/6728467/All-Star-Entrepreneur-Tim-Darnell-33-Owner-Bankruptcy-Filing

Mr. Darnell also had a stranger owned life insurance venture that imploded with no sales and was followed by an investigation by the Texas Department of Insurance.

Mr. Darnell, Advantage Conferences, Jack Weinzierl and Jim McHugh are also facing a suit for fraud, conspiracy and violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act in District Court in Collin County. http://www.scribd.com/doc/6727375/1st-Amended-Original-Petition That case is nearing its conclusion and I fear he will be enraged when he loses.

Tim Darnell owes an undetermined amount of back taxes to the IRS as he sent in Affidavits and refused to pay any taxes from 1998-2005. He is still trying to resolve that. He has a tax lien on his home. He is also being sued for delinquent property taxes. He is extremely desperate for money with all the litigation he is involved in.

Cottonwood Creek Baptist Chr is nice ... if you're white

by Just V.

nice new church ... if you're white!
As a Christ-follower, (and a visiting Asian) I heard of so-called "Christian churches" that were unfriendly to non-anglo's but was saddened to experience this first hand. Let's see what God will do!

Great music, and wonderful sermons!

by Wonderful C.

Cottonwood Creek is a church with wonderful music and the sermons will leave you feeling uplifted, but give you wisdom and in sight on the Word of God. Cottonwood Creek is unlike many Baptists Churches that preach death and make you feel as if you have been hit over the head with a bible. It is worth checking out if you have young children too. They have wonderful childrens programs that teach the Word of God in a fun way. With some prayers and time, the church should be a one that other Baptist Churches will want to imitate! In Jesus Name!

Fantastic Church!

by Alan W.

I really enjoy going to church at Cottonwood Creek! The music is outstanding and upbeat; the sermons are based in God's Word; and the people are so friendly! There is time during the service for people to great "old-timers" and newcomers alike. Even when I was new there, I never felt out of place! I'm sorry that Jon Bob J felt that way....

Ugh ... typical segregated by choice church

by Jon Bob J.

nice young minister, new building, old congregation.
some wouldn't shake my hand.
typical sbc (southern baptist church).
no wonder 95% of churches in the US are segregated.
