I Love This Store
by Penny W.
As a new knitter, I discovered this store a couple of years ago and just fell in love with it. Everyone has always been very helpful, offering suggestions, as well as encouragement. I live in Missouri City, but make the drive when I need a yarn fix. My only wish is that they would open another store in my area. There are a huge number of knitters/crocheters in Fort Bend County and we would love to have better options than Hobby Lobby or Michael's!

Awesome Yarn - More Awesome Owner!!
by Valerie C.
Yarns 2 Ewe is, by far, the most fabulous yarn store I have ever been to - and I've been in many! Mouth watering yarns (I basically work to buy yarns, as I've told Wendy, the owner, since I've known her!), outstanding customer service and knitting guidance, and a comfy place to go for browsing the newest, latest and greatest in the yarn buiness.
I hadn't knit in years, and when the store first opened on 19th Street, I decided to get back into it as a few of my friends wanted to do a knit night. It has become a passion for me - I have multiple projects going because the yarn at Wendy's shop keeps me coming back for more.
Plan to spend some time looking at all their fabulous things and being patient if you need help. Their customer service is so individualized, as it needs to be, that it takes a bit of time for them to help you when the store is busy. This is, however, not a complaint - instead it is a testimonial to outstanding service. Some people come in wanting personal/individual help, but do not want to pay for a private lesson (which they offer) and get frustrated when they can't get the type of attention they feel they deserve - if you want that type of help, buck up and pay for a private class!!!
If you haven't been to Yarns 2 Ewe, get in your car, take the bus, go with friends - but just go - you won't regret it!

What a great place to get yarn!
by Leslie E.
I am a yarn junkie...a collector, you might say, and what a selection Yarns 2 Ewe has! I have NEVER been disappointed there in either the yarns, service or help with a knitting problem.
When I walk in I have never failed to be cheerfully greeted by one of the employees and feel like it's become a haven for me. The owner is always coming up with innovative ways to teach knitting and has wonderful classes. I have taken the class on an entrelac purse and loved it. I would highly recommend this store.

Disappointing experience
by Marcia G.
I will no longer shop at this store because of their return policy. Although they have purchases on the computer, they refused to exchange or accept a return for my purchase because I only had my receipt ($294) and the color on my receipt did not match the color I was returning.(my friend opted for one of my colors). I was going to have my friend fax a copy of her receipt...no they would not accept it...it had to be "original". Additionally, we were sold a yarn that was comparable (although it wasn't), so our $80 project turned into $160.
Beware of shopping here !

I was impressed with Yarns 2 Ewe's selection of yarns and needles. Every major holiday I am always asking family for gift certificates for this store in order to stock up. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Occasionally a friend and myself will head up there on Friday nights for their weekly knit in (pizza included!).

A Little Lacking in Customer Service

I really wanted to like this place. They do have a wonderful selection of yarns, but my experience with their customer service was very disappointing. I made a visit with my mother when I was looking for a special yarn for a wedding gift I was making. The store is pleasantly set up and there were a numer of people there working on projects. However, my mother and I were completely ignored. After being in the store and browsing, and sendng out signals that we had some question, I finally sought out assistance, which ws given half-heartedly at best. I felt as though I had interrupted a private knitting group rather than entered a retail store that wanted my business. I would rather shop online.

They have a huge selection of any kind of yarn imaginable! There are couches available to go and knit and chat it up with friends or make new ones. They also offer some classes. They are very friendly .
