By far the best Mexican/Latin American restaurant in San Antonio with amazing, friendly service and delicious food. This is a small family owned and operated Cafe that has been located in Alamo Heights since the 1950's!!! You will definitely feel like your at home while here. The breakfast menu has over 30 options and the signature dish is the Chilaquiles plate. The lunch menu has just as many options and the signature plate is the Norteno's plate ! While traditionally opened only for breakfast and lunch the restaurant is now open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights, serving authentic PANAMANIAN dishes.

Pros: breakfast tacos, fajitas, service, tradition, family run

Cons: not open Sundays....yet

.

This little hole-in-the-wall on the edge of Alamo Heights, is a favorite amongst friends for their breakfast. The chilaquiles tacos are the perfect Saturday morning recovery food. First timers beware, though, a little bit of the green salsa goes a long way! I unknowingly overloaded my taco the first time I went there, and my mouth was stinging the rest of the afternoon.
