How are these people still in business?
by Baden M.
We are right in the middle of a recession, thousands of people losing jobs each day and this place manages to stay open? The sales person that "helped" me treated me as if I was a second class citizen. She spoke to me in a demeaning manner, her manner curt, her tone was offensive and it seemed as if she worked harder at getting me out then selling me something. If this is her job description, then she does her job well. I left with nothing from this store but a determination not to ever return and would have spent hundreds of dollars there.

Bridal Help
by marsha s.
I called the store yesterday and was connected with the seamstress and she was very helpful with answering questions I had about making my granddaughters blusher vial for her wedding. I now live out of town but knew Kay's was the place to get the best info on bridal questions. Thanks for always being there.

Not very pleasant
by T B.
I was very displeased with the service I received at Kay's. The lady that was helping was very rude and not helpful at all. She also told me "you can't afford that fabric". Rude to say the least.

Won't be going back
by T H.
I looked at the reviews before going and all the people had written positive reviews. I drove about 40 minutes to get to Richardson and regretted going. The fabrics were unreasonably high priced and the woman who was working was not very nice at all. I felt like she would rather I had not even walked in. If my money is no good at Kay Fabrics I will keep it.

Great specialty store
by Anonymous
Kay Fabrics carries a line of fabrics for the serious sewer. They have the lambswool for sleeve caps and hair canvas (interfacing) for suits.
Whenever I have wanted to sew something for a really special occasion, I have gone there. For example, I was able to find an emerald green duipioni silk, China silk lining, and the perfect fabric (crinoline) for the interfacing.
In addition to selling the fabrics, the staff can give the sewer hints on how to handle the fabrics and how to sew them. I would very highly recommend Kay.

Kay Fabric Center is located in Richardson on Arapaho. They have a good selection of special occasion fabric, sequins, beading, and other embellishments. They have more to choose from than Hancock or Joann for evening fabric. Their prices are reasonable and their selection is pretty good. Their staff is friendly and helpful. This is your place for glitz and glam....a great place for prom dress material.

I have used Kay's fabric center on multiple occasions and found the service to be helpful. They have a very large selection of fabrics, however, many are dated styles. I would like to see more trendy fabrics.
