Service & Sales FIRST RATE

by D.S. H.

Hard to believe we are talking about the same store. These are great people, really know their stuff. Saved me from some dumb mistakes contractor and designer were about to make.Price always very competitive, service very good. I have pucrhased top of the line, average price, and cheapest available from them. They always treat me well. I refuse to work with any of the big box no-nothings.

Review based on pricing only

by Steve B.

I just ordered a Kitchenaid KSSC48QTS built-in refrigerator through McNairs. After shopping the internet, Lowes (the only big box that had it), and McNairs, I was pleasantly shocked at how good the price was at McNairs. They were more than $1000 lower than the internet prices I found and more than $2000 below Lowes. I asked Lowes if they had any sort of price matching and they said no on this type of special order item. Their loss, McNair's sale. I am scheduled to have McNairs deliver and install the unit in a week and remove my old one. Will post another comment on how that goes, but so far I am pretty impressed with them...

should be no stars

by Bobby C.

What a joke. We bought and paid for all new appliances from McNairs and TWO out of Three haven't worked from day one.The dishwasher looks like someone beat it with a bowling ball. (this is how it was installed) The Range has some random default code that apparently doesn't exist in the real world. AND the top is all kinda scratched. Its been a month now of polite b.s. back and forth listening to them make false promises. ENOUGH! Do yourself a favor. Don't bother with this place. We told them today to come get the appliances and bring us a check. If you've already committed to them for a new dishwasher and range don't be surprized if you get the same ones I just described as they must be the only ones available. Otherwise NEW ones would have be delivered and installed. And they shouldn't even bother trying to write a reply because they know I left out the most damning parts of our experience.

Service

by Anonymous

I have a Whirlpool Duet washer that I purchased from McNairs that is less than 4 months old that needs service. Kiva/McNairs does not service what they sell. They have a relationship with a local repair company, Stellar Appliance, that is either incompetent and/or terribly disorganized. It has taken more than 10 days to order parts and they still can't get back to get them installed.

You should consider possible repairs before buying from McNairs. Their service after the sale is terrible.

Very helpful people and great product

by Anonymous A.

My husband and I are doing a master bath and kitchen remodel. Our contractor sent us over there for our appliances and fixtures. Not only did they give us the contractor rate of 30% off but they also gave us rebate information on our appliances which saved us thousands. They were very knowledgable and we will definitly be going back to them again and again.

Recently purchased new gas KitchenAid Range from McNairs

by Anonymous

We have shopped at McNairs for many years. They usually beat the chain stores on the same appliances. On our most recent trip we bought a KitchenAid Gas range. I intended to buy the dual fuel model, but when it got to the house, it was an all gas model. The salesman gave me a choice of waiting for the right model to come in, or take a discount for installing the one that arrived. I chose the deal since I already have a gas line so it was not problem to install and my installer was already at the house with the range. I love the range! It turned out to be better than dual fuel. The range also had a scratch in it. Without any questions, I was given an additional discount if I wanted to keep it with a scratch, or they would send a new one over. These kind of errors happen all the time when you purchase appliances and most places will only make you wait to get a different appliance, not give you money off. McNairs worked with me and gave me money back until I was completely satisfied. I appreciated that they cared about my satisfaction and did their best to make things right. I will definitely continue to shop at McNairs for my appliances. I always "shop around" before making a final decision and 3x over the last 10 years, McNairs has had the best price on the appliance I am buying. I highly recommend checking them out when shopping for your next appliance.

McNairs - overrated

by Anonymous

McNairs has impressed me as overpriced and less than proficient with their knowledge and service.

Two years ago I attempted to buy a full Miele kitchen from McNairs. Despite the fact that I am a local architect, they were reluctant to quote me a price on the appliances (much like a car dealership). When I did finally get their quote, it was 25% higher than a dealer just outside of town.

Recently, wanting to do business locally, I decided to try McNairs again when replacing a built-in microwave. Against my better judgement, I trusted the sales person when she "assured me" that the microwave and trim kit would fit into the space that I had measured and drawn. After paying their marked-up price, the microwave and trim kit didn't fit.

Strike two. I won't be back at McNairs.

Great deals and very knowledgeable salespeople

by Anonymous

We were replacing our current kitchen appliances with new stainless steel ones. Of course we wanted to check out all the major chain stores (Home Depot, Lowe's, Best Buy, Conn's) to see their inventory and the kind of deals we could get. A salesperson from Conn's told us it would be wise to visit McNairs since we were doing a whole kitchen remodel, and we added it to the end of our list of stores to visit.

The quality of service at McNairs is completely different as we were dealing with a salesperson who was in the appliance business for over 35 years! He knew the model numbers and dimensions from the type of his head on ANY appliance. Plus, since we were getting 5 appliances, the pricing was super-competitive, and the least expensive out of any of the chains stores (surprisingly enough) as well as deals we researched off the internet! And you get a selection virtually off of anything--some of the appliances weren't on their floor models, but we ordered through catalog and still got competitive pricing.

We were very satisfied and will always go here for home appliances.
