1 Stars: Labor is crazy- either they cheat or are SLOW (by porsha1)

I recently sold a very nice mercedes 190E to a friend. Six months later he lost a radiator hose and ended up blowing the head gasket. We called them because they were close to our house. The estimate that they gave was $350 parts (which is fair) $500 for machine work (which is crazy, the highest estimate for machine work was 95.00) The real crazy part was they wanted $3500 for labor. At their 87.50 labor rate that means it would take them forty hours to complete. I lost all confidence then. The MB dealership did the work for 1850.00. It was dropped off on tuesday and picked-up on friday. I have been turning wrenchs on german cars my whole life. That is at most an eight hour job.

4 Stars: German Motor Works gives excellent service! ask for a price match in prices! (by rickrocksrichez)

I recently needed some work done on my 97 328is. Seeing how this shop was closest to my house, I decided to give it a shot, at $87.50 per hour they would fix it which the closest BMW dealer normaly charges anywere from $100 ph to $120ph. The service was fast, friendly, and communication was always part of their priority. I've done recent simple work on my car, and beeing a novice home mechanic I was impressed by their work. One thing I recommend to everyone reading this review, is to pricematch all parts before you agree to replace the parts with the shop, that way you save money, always ask what parts are going to be replaced, and look for cheaper prices, for the reason that many shops such as this will boost up the price to even $150 extra than what you would normaly pay for an "original factory part" or even an oftermarket.

5 Stars: This is the place (by c240mb)

This Shop is Very Very good at what they do. I've only taken my MB there 2x, under warrantiy and they had no problem working with the warranity company.
Now WHENever my car needs work, it goes to them No Matter what. So if you have a Benz or Benner new or old, warrantiy or not this is the place...4-real

5 Stars: Most respectful, caring, detailed and speedy auto repair shop in Dallas. They care as much as I do. (by MusicSource)

My former mechanic is about 4 miles from me. German Motor Works is 12 miles from me. It is definitely worth the extra gas, time, and mileage to drive to German Motor Works. Scott & Tony always take care of me. They respect the fact that I want to keep my 13 year old 7-series, and work as hard as I do to keep it running and looking like the classic that it is.
I especially enjoyed the little "surprises" I encountered after picking up my car the first time... usually with mechanics, the surprises are bad. But two days after I picked up my car the first time from them, I opened my trunk and found that the broken cargo tie-down strap, which had been broken and missing for years was suddenly replaced by a brand new one. I never told them of the strap, and never mentioned that I wanted a new one. In fact, I forgot about it. It was a shock to see a shiny new one in my trunk. What a considerate and thoughtful gesture on their part, I thought. They really do care.
And the work they do on the car is also reflective of how much they care... as if it was their own personal car. They know me by first name now, and they are fast. No "up-sell" either. No pressure repairs, high quality work, with the utmost respect and appreciation for their customers.

Thanks guys!

5 Stars: Great care for the car that you love at a great price! (by tommyh80)

I relocated to Dallas with my 328Ci. Scott and Carty at German Motor Works have worked on my BMW ever since. They work mainly on BMW and Mercedes. Carty is a certified Master BMW technician and knows BMW's inside and out. You will pay about 1/2 price for work done to you car when compared to the BMW dealers in town. They are equipped to do all the mechanical work that your BMW needs. They came recommended from a BMW website forum and I have been going to them for 3 years now. I would highly recommend that you trust your car with them.

5 Stars: howard wilner (by howard w.)

Wilner states the motor redesigned new-from-scratch fits under the XC90's hood because it's a 60-degree all-aluminum design with a reversed-bank offset and a two-stage cam timing chain and direct-mounted accessories. A counter-rotating-balance shaft keeps the cylinders chugging smoothly under the same hood that usually houses the 208-horsepower, 2.5-liter turbo inline-five or the 268-horsepower, 2.9-liter twin-turbo inline T6. The Yamaha makes 311 horsepower and 325 pound-feet--just four horses short of the X5 4.4i V-8, with an extra pound-foot of torque. Volvo also boasts the first Ultra-Low Emissions Vehicle II status in a gas V-8 and engine packaging that maintains the XC90's exemplary 35-mph head-on and 40-mph offset-crash properties. The V-8 has a 1250-rpm idle at cold start for a lean air/fuel mixture, and it settles in at 675 rpm when warmed.
