I have several times rented from and purchased 3 cars from this rental/used car dealer. I have always have been very happy with my purchases and overall experiences. (Responding to the only other review)--- 1 thing to remember about purchasing a used car from a rental car agency is that they trade cars between the different rental car agencies due to one way rentals....since Jim Dunworth Inc.use to be National Rental Car your rust could have been from being in South Texas..Corpus Christi or South Pardre area..--rental car companies rely on Carfax as well BUT Carfax is the best option we can ALL rely on....Best way to read a Carfax is to determine WHERE the car has been...by determing where all of the service/inspections/registrations have been performed etc.........then make the call !!! I have trusted them for 3 purchases..... and ALWAYS have been happy........

While I was serving in the Army in San Antonio, I purchased a car from Jim Dunworth Car Rental. My parents owned two previous rental fleet cars from Hertz Resale, a Ford Taurus and a Ford Expedition, and they still run to this day, so I wasn't afraid of buying a rental. The car, a Toyota Corolla, had 22,000 miles and was in great shape -- or so I thought.

Five years later, all of the insignia on the rear quarter panels has fallen off, and there are spidery cracks and rust running throughout the same area. I took the car to a Toyota dealership to complain about the rust, and the representative pointed out that the entire rear of my car is made of BONDO fiberglass putty.

The car had no accidents on it's carfax, and when I asked the sales rep directly, "Has this car ever been damaged?" his reply was negative. This leads me to believe that Jim Dunworth employees did the bodywork themselves for a minor fender-bender without reporting the damage, and tried to unload the car before their crappy workmanship manifested itself.

Now I'm stuck with a body repair job thanks to the disingenuous practices of Jim Dunworth's business.

What makes this even more insulting is that the sales rep was a retired Sergeant Major, who took advantage of another service member.

Look elsewhere if you're going to buy or rent -- there are plenty of other agencies in the area that don't pass off damaged merchandise to unsuspecting customers.
