Hollywood Video

Hollywood Video is a great store with great staff working there. People get mad way too easily when they have late fees..That is the main problem! The staff is wonderful and knows how to help the customers. I was in there the other night and asked for a few different movie referrals and received good feedback with something I was actually interested in.
The only hold up I was in was a lady in front of me yelling at the employee for her late fees. Sorry lady but there is nothing they can do to change the fact that you can't be responsible.

I keep my business here and I am one of the Powerplay customers. I will continue to go here in the future.

If I had my choice between Blockbuster Video and Hollywood Video, Blockbuster wins hands down. However, since Blockbuster often "sells out" their New Releases fairly quick, then you know there is another video store in town that will definitely have some New Releases available. And that is- Hollywood Video. Perhaps it's because of their rude staff?? I don't know.

All I do know is you can never count on the staff to help you. Instead they are usually talking to someone on the phone, which more often- are their friends-- and not the customers. Then-- there's the chit chat among the staff who never seems to have enough time to offer some assistance to their customers.

There was a time I was waiting at the counter to be checked out for almost 15 minutes while two staff members were "talking away" about something non-business related. I finally had to interrupt them requesting one of them to check me out. After the rolled-eye treatment, one finally obliged to my request.

After this incident, I've decided my business would go elsewhere. Maybe you will have a better experience with Hollywood Video. But don't say I didn't warn you.
