If this business has good customer service, it must all be on the side of the business owners, not renters.\r\nRecar is:\r\nDifficult to contact\r\nDifficult to obtain service\r\nNot at all interested in their tenants\r\nOut of date practices: website, ebilling, email contact\r\nVERY interested in getting their rent check ASAP, but no mechanisms for weekend payments

Dear Mr. Fedro
Having several rental properties and having worked with several management companies in several states, I have to say that yours is the best.
I do not know where you found Stephanie Hill but she is fantastic, and I hope that you can keep her. Your staff members really do make the company; she does what a management company is supposed to do, take the stress and worry off the landlord, and gets the job done quickly and efficiently. I am amazed when I call to say I have had a violation for weeds from the HOA and she has already arranged for someone to go out there so it will be all nice for the new tenants. Your staff found me new tenants really fast, which I really appreciate in these hard times.
I do not normally write these notes when I see exceptional service, but I felt this had to be said to Stephanie??s supervisor, especially since your switchboard mentioned that she was doing the job of someone off sick this week and still managed to be so pleasant. I myself am in the service industry and I do tend to get frustrated with bad service, inefficiency and unprofessional people. Sometimes I wonder if my standards are too high and then I run into a company likes yours and it is always a pleasure.
Thanks to you too Mr Greg Fedro, you are obviously a good manager, because if you weren??t you would not get such good results from your staff members. I am shocked to see all these negative comments, I have been with this company for five years and had no problems.

Thanks to Julie also! We love working with Landlords who take an active interest in their properties and work with us to maintain them. Too bad that this was a 4-star rated review and it only shows on this page as a 2-star. These services seem to hate good ratings and we've even had other great ratings totally disappear. We work really hard to enforce the Leases for landlords and keep our managed units nice for renters. So this review was especially nice to see! Thanks, again!

We had a GREAT experience with Recar & Associates! In all fairness, they explain from the beginning that Tenants have more responsibility in renting a house than an apartment. When Tenants don't take care of things they are supposed to, they get charged for it - THAT IS VERY FAIR! They gave us a Tenant Handbook, had resources on their website, and sent me a Cleaning Checklist for our move out preparation. I haven't had another management company that was this thorough.

And to top it off, WE RENTED ANOTHER HOUSE FROM RECAR AND CONTINUE TO BE HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE!

People, you need to get over your issues. Complaining about something that happened years ago is silly. Did you ever stop to think that maybe companies change and improve services, and that employees also change? Put more energy into being positive

Seems like we train society to complain instead of focusing on being happy...

GET THIS: my a/c went out at my duplex; they hired a company to replace it at an exorbitant cost and then tried to charge me for a "Spring A/C cleaning and check-up" a few months later. Needless to say, I DID not pay, because it was not ethical, and I would not use them again or recommend them to anyone else.

Dispatching maintenance to take care of the properties we manage is NOT unethical. And working on part of an A/C doesn't negate doing a proactive checkup on the rest of the system. And yes, A/C repairs are costly, which is why we do these check-ups annually to stay abreast of the condition of the systems and hopefully prevent breakdowns for our tenants. NOTE: This person gave bottom rankings to another property management company in 2010. It won't change our rating and I'm sorry it wasn't a good fit with us either, but I didn't go online yelping about it.

First of all Recar had to do nothing to get us into this lease property. I met with the previous renters, scheduled a time to come see the property and called Recar to set everything up. Once they had our deposit it was horrible. We had to go in for an orientation where they told us that our concerns were not important like not having the house rekeyed or garage door openers from the last tenants so someone else had access to all of our belongings. I had to raise hell in order for them to get a locksmith out any earlier than 7 days. We still didn't get our garage door openers for another week. We also had to schedule the cleaners to come on a weekend after we moved in because they didn't clean the property before hand. Maintenance issues are handled very poorly. We had to wait 4 months for them to replace a light globe that the maintenance people broke fixing our ceiling fan. Then when our microwave went out they wouldnt replace it. All in all they are horrible in customer service, horrible in communication, and a horrible management company. If I didn't like the house or the neighborhood as much as I did I would absolutely move out at the end of my lease. \r\n\r\nWARNING DO NOT RENT LEASE or BUY from RECAR unless it is a to die for house and is something you can't live without.

Pros: I am only leasing so I will never have to deal with these people again.

Cons: Poor everything, go in with low expectations and they will still not meet them.
