All waiters and Bartenders work at Chaucers! They are apparently in the habit of double changing people so you will make some good money in tips!!! Now I am usually someone impressed with Chaucers food and service. Their bartenders are wonderful and I usually ( as do most people) go to the bar for their drinks. Speaking with the manager of the bar, he only said someone ordered the drinks therefore someone needs to pay. Well yes that is apparent but let us think for one moment that the customer is correct that they were overcharged, wouldn??t you just want to check. I would feel that all you would need to do it ask who ordered what drink. I would think a simple inquiry would be sufficient but I was passed off as some silly girl with no clue, again only reaffirming my resolve not to return. With the aggressive bouncers who need to justify their lies. I have dealt with less drama in high school. So I say Hurry before positions are all filled! You will make double the money and half the work!

Their are approximately four Chaucer's locations. I am not a fan of seafood, but their other dishes are good. Management can be standoffish, but I do have to give kudos to the security manager. I've seen him handle drunk and disorderly patrons with nothing but respect.

First let me start by saying, we go out to eat almost every meal for dinner. From this we get to see a lot of places and have a very diverse mix of restaurants we frequent. I took my wife to Chaucer??s in Frisco (North Dallas) for dinner and drinks thinking it would be a new place for us to frequent. We arrive at 7:30 PM on a Friday night and once inside I notice most of the crowd was at the two bars having drinks. We proceed to order and it came out. My wife had chicken teriyaki and veggies (was normal, nothing special) and I had a super volcano (basically a California role with a fried crawfish toping). When the entre?? came out it had a mound of onions on top. Same hot green onion used for wasabi only shredded. I tried eating it and it was like fire. I asked to have the dish redone without hot onions as it was impossible to pick them out of the sauce the way the dish is made. In comes Manager #1 to the table and he says well if you don??t like onions order it that way next time. Saying I should have known better, but since this is America and he wants me to come back, he won??t make me pay for the first one. Now the second dish comes out, it??s separated on two plates, only the crawfish toping is still full of these super hot onions. No different than the first entre. (By this time we??ve been here awhile waiting on food). I ask to speak to someone about this mix-up, in comes Manager #2. He has the same tone as #1 saying it??s my fault, I say ??see them onions?, and ??why are they there again?? ??I ordered this specially without and here they are again?. He proceeds to give me the eye. Then says well you like the roll portion, I??ll only charge you for it. Needless to say this was the first time in over ten years I??ve sent a dish back. As a Coon-Ass I pride myself in eating what??s brought out and trying new things. Needless to say, I will not be returning for food, only drinks. I recommend you proceed with caution. Also Management stinks!!!

Pros: Nice bar area

Cons: Very bad sushi, no steaks as advertised, limited menu

I think they have the address wrong. That must be where the corp office is located, because this is actually on the side of an office building off of Beltline in Addison. Very upscale (not cheap by any means) but a great selection of steaks and seafood. All cooked just they way you like.
