My son is 2 and has been attending Childrens Lighthouse since he was 18 months old. We were at another Daycare and switched to this one. By the 3-4 week he was saying more words and COUNTING!! I love their program. They are VERY involved in educating the kids. It's also like one big family. Everyone is soooo nice and Ryan (my son) looooves all the teachers. There are TONS of additional programs they can do through the school!! Like computer classes and "Fun Bus." (Its a bus that comes to the school that they play on) My son is soooooo happy here. He loves going in the morning. I feel VERY comfortable with the staff. It's a GREAT place!!

My daughter has been attending since she was 12 months old. She attended another daycare prior to this one & after attending for one week, I knew that it was not the place for my child. The staff is very caring about my little one. Every morning when she comes through the door, someone is at the front desk to greet her with a cheery good morning. When she started at Childrens Lighthouse, she was not even crawling. It took only about I month before she conquered that hurdle. Soon after she was walking. She knows the alphabet, numbers, colors, and so much more. Potty training was fairly easy because they, namely Ms. Ruby, took the time to make sure that each child was comfortable with using the potty. Ms. Brenda is keeping her thirst for knowledge alive. Each day she has something new to tell me that she learned. Wow!!!! She is quite articulate. This place is more than just a daycare. It is an entire atmosphere that's geared to the HEALTHY development of young hearts and minds. If you need child care, I most certainly recommend Childrens Lighthouse of Allen.

Just like anything, you get what you put into it. I started by learning the names of teachers. Since then, I have become an active mom at the school and the teachers are SO nice and SO appreciative of everything that I do. I love making little goodies for the teachers and my children love going to school. My three year old daughter actually runs, with open arms, to her teacher, everyday. We are both sad when Ms. Brenda is out sick or on vacation. My mother-in-law (in Florida) loves logging into the parent watch system and seeing her grandchildren on a daily basis. It's definately worth the tour and it's true what they say, it is the best kept secret in Allen!

We have had two children at Children??s Lighthouse Learning Center. Our oldest has just started Private Elementary school. We had him at two different preschools before entering him in Children??s Lighthouse. We were very displeased with the attention and accountability at the previous locations. He was at Children??s Lighthouse for two years and loved each of his teachers. All of the staff knew him well, and we got immediate reports of any incidences pertaining to him. He excelled in the Abeka program and scored 94% on the entrance exam to the private school. He reads well and when he had spelling homework, he spelled everything before actually seeing the words he was supposed to review. He has all A??s at the private school. I have been thoroughly impressed with his progress. We entered our youngest son in preschool at one year of age to get social time. At fifteen months old he could sign and sing the alphabet, count to ten, sign simple signs like milk, and sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. The center has video cameras in every room for parents to watch their children. I would leave my computer up to watch our oldest and was amazed how he would just sit in class at his chair and do his work. I now watch our youngest child play and interact with his teacher. If parents have any concerns they have an open-door policy and the cameras are on continuously. At their last state inspection they had zero infractions. My husband drops in daily to help out or pick up our child early. We had a horrific experience at a local Catholic elementary school that in no way even compares to the comments here. I was afraid that it would leave a lasting impression on our oldest son but the staff at Children??s Lighthouse helped with his self-esteem and made him feel welcome and loved. He was very hesitant to go to a new school, and I told the director I wish they offered through high school so he wouldn??t have to change. The director and Kindergarten teacher made the transition bearable for him and offered to even talk to his new teacher if he wanted. I am in healthcare and have never seen any circumstances I was uncomfortable with or concerned about. I understand that each person may have a bad experience even under the best circumstances but I feel very confidant in the care of my most beloved treasures. The company is family-owned and Christian-based.
