I can't fathom the bad reviews I see below. We have been taking our cocker spaniel to Park Cities for more than ten years. The employees truly care about the pets. They have NEVER in all these years made even one misstep in the grooming

This place is abysmal. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. I can't reiterate that enough. I took my precious pooch here in May. They told me I could pick him up by 1pm. I came back at 1pm and they treated me as if I was a criminal there to steal

Worst service ever. The dog was traumatized, his stomach was cut in three places. They did exactly what I asked them not to do and his cut is terrible

I was referred by a co-worker to the Park Cities Pet Salon. I took my six month old Yorkie in for her first grooming on March 13th. My Yorkie is a very passive puppy and would let us dress her, play with her and put her hair up in a knot, several times a day if we wanted to.

When I picked her up from the salon I knew immediately that something was wrong with her. She would not let me touch her head and she started throwing up immediately. It was apparent her knot had too much hair in it and too tight. That??s what we thought was wrong with her originally. It was very hard for us but we managed to cut the bow out of her hair. After four weeks, we decided to introduce her to a new groomer who we knew would treat her very gentle. We told him of the previous experience. It was more of a get-to-know visit with instructions to not pull her hair and to not put her hair up tight. She is very good at not touching the knot so there??s no reason for it to be too tight.

Upon arriving at the new groomer, when picking her up, he instructed me to come back and look at her because she had scabs on her head. It was very apparent that Park Cities had taken a metal grooming comb and in the course of trying to pull the rubber band out of her hair with the comb they actually dug the comb into her scalp. There are still scabs on her head and of course she still will not let us touch her head. Pulling the rubber band out of her hair with a comb is unacceptable to start with. It was not tight and should have been snipped and taken out without hurting her.

We called Park Cities to report the incident but the owner, Karen, who will not return our calls. Our Yorkie??s head blead in the accident and they did not tell us anything about it. Instead they took more hair than normal and pulled her hair up so tight we almost couldn??t get the rubber band out and could not see the injury. Our Yorkie still will not let us touch her head after six weeks. Just now, after six weeks we can put her in the car without her throwing up on very short trips of less than a mile.

Due to the lack of professionalism of Park Cities Pet Salon, by not talking with us, we decided to let the public know how cruel they treat the pets so you would not make the same mistake we did and have your puppy terribly injured.

My dog was in bad shape when I arrived. He'd had some kind of allergic reaction and was all swollen. It turns out later that they didn't dilute the chemicals properly.

I came to get my dog and found him swollen and having trouble breathing. The vet said he would have died had i waited a hour longer. They got rude and very defensive when i came back trying to find out what they used on him.

Absolutely the worst service I've ever experienced. I don't quite understand the purpose of making an appointment if your dog is just going to sit in a kennel all day, regardless if you called 2 weeks in advance or a few hours in advance

We are extremely particular about who grooms our dogs and relied heavily on references. Each time we would ask random individuals either at the park or on the street who groomed their dog / dogs, more often than not they referred us to Karen at Park Cities Pet Salon. The very first time we took our girls to Karen, we were sold! Great with our girls and very accommodating with most requests.
Prices are comparable to other salons and our girls come out looking perfect each time.

I have used this location every week for years, and it is absolutely the best in the city. The owner is always on site and very friendly. I have two dogs with impossible hair and they always look beautiful. They both jump in the car every Friday to go to their day of beauty and love it.
They were so kind and gentle to my oldest one during a terrible recovery from a car accident. I highly recommend!!!

My little schnauzer Britney has been going to Park Cities for almost 2 years now. She always looks amazing and they just have the best staff in town.

i was trying to avoid taking my 1 yo maltese here thinking that the prices would be outrageous. i went in to look at the outfits and found out they were VERY affordable. i have taken him there twice and he comes out great both times. Just made 3rd appt.

My 9 y.o. standard poodle, Hazel, has been groomed here her entire life - even before lovely Karen took over ownership. And it's obvious this is a place where the pooch is comfortable (aside from just not particularly enjoying getting bathed and clipped in general - anywhere). It's a blessing to be able to drop her off with full confidence that she'll be well treated - like a family member. Special requirements for a special pet's needs are noted and honored (they keep pretty good records of what your pet needs, like ear problems, special clip instructions, etc.). Scheduling is very accommodating. And you get to pick up a clean, happy and well-groomed dog. We tried a couple of other places long ago, and were never so comfortable anywhere else - nor as happy with the results. Top notch all around.

We had a great experience with our maltapoo! They treated him like he was their own. Great prices, great owner (who works there everyday)! I have tried other places and never was sure what happened behind the curtain, I know that these dogs are treated with loving care.

I have taken my dog here to get him washed and cleaned. The people here are really nice and they do a great job on the animals here. They have a very reasonable price on all their services and they are pet loving people. They keep their place clean and always swept up. I just love bringing my dog here.
