Mine wasn't overly greasy, sauce was good. The chicken parmigiana was great...
I eat pizza all over US. This is decent.
Pros: Good NY style pizza
While my New Yorker friends claim that "it's the water" that makes New York pizza so special, Brothers has proved to me time and time again that you don't have to be in the Big Apple to enjoy a slice of authentic New York style pizza.
Simple and thin, with a crispy crust and served piping-hot, a just one piece of Brothers cheese or pepperoni pizza, and I'm transported back to the streets of New York City. While other Houston pizzerias can most certainly hold their own, Brothers does New York pizza, well, like New Yorkers should.
Pros: Excellent Pizza
Cons: Not open late-night
This is by far the best pizza I have had in Houston. It's reasonable, the service is excellent and the pizza tastes just like it does in NYC.
Pros: Great customer serivce; authentic NY style pizza
My sister's boyfriend introduced me to this place and I am so glad that he did. BEST PIZZA I've ever had in Houston! Not only that, but I am truly big on customer service everywhere. And this place totally delivers! The guys there are so friendly and the establishment feels like a big family. If only I didn't live so far from Brothers...I'd be there everyday!
Pros: A+ friendly service, A+ yummy pizza
Cons: Long lines because it gets SOO busy, and it's closed on Sundays which is when I get the chance to stop by that area :(
As a native New Yorker this place is hands down my favorite pizzeria in town!
We've been eating here for 10 years!!! The pizza dough, sauce, and toppings are "really" fresh and the staff is extremely polite! You won't find any better anywhere else in Houston!
Pros: Quality, Value & Customer Service
Cons: none
This place has it all: great customer service, awesome atmosphere, mouth-watering food. I went in to get a slice, because i had heard that this place makes a good pizza pie, and you know what - they were right. As soon as I tasted the cheese slice I got, it took me back to NY. Actually, it was better than a lot of places in NY. I polished that slice so fast, and I ate 2 more before I left. The next day I went in with the family and got 2 large pies. I will never eat at another pizza place again!
Brothers Pizzeria has proven there skills in making Pizza the New York way. Keep up the good work, we'll be back very soon.
Pros: Need another Brothers Pizzeria up by West Little York.
Cons: Parking spaces need more,
Don't be fooled by the small seating area and the location in a large parking lot. New York Pizzeria is the real deal. They have fast and friendly help who remember your name and always have a smile on their faces. For the service, the quality and the cost this place is one of the top places in Houston to grab a slice.
Pros: Authentic Bada Boom Bada Bing
Cons: Nada
I don't eat pizza often, but when I do, I expect it to be classic New York like I grew up with. Brothers has the best I've tasted outside the area: thin crust, not greasy, sharp tomato sauce, just the right amount of cheese, and their toppings aren't burnt or limp and flavorless.
I'd knock off a star for the crust's lack of personality (the one shortcoming), but I'm adding it back on for the AMAZING friendly service and fast turnout, which is just what you need on those nights that a pizza is necessary.
Pros: great pizza, friendly people, reasonably priced
Cons: no delivery
These guys are genuine as is their NY style pizza. It's the best around! We only wich that they delivered. Right now it's dine in or carry out only. It's worth the drive though.
I've been going to Brothers since I was in grade school when they were located in West Oaks Mall. About 6 years ago I moved to the Katy area for work and co-workers told me about this little pizza place around the corner I just had to try. You have NO idea how excited I was to find out it was the SAME PLACE!!!! I go there as often as possible and take my kids and my soccer team lol! They know me by first name and are ALWAYS super polite an friendly. Those guys bust their butts every day! As much as I hate that they don't open on Sundays anymore, I'm still happy that I can go get a quick fix from Mon-Sat!!!! A must try! :)
Pros: Cheap food, SUPER friendly staff, quick meal
Cons: Not open Sunday :(
Look, if you only like deep dish, thickly breaded Chicago style pizza, you need to shoot for Barry's or Star Pizza, but for the ultimate thin crust, greasy (not too greasy, though) on-the-go, NY style pizza, there is no better pie for your buck in the Houston area than Brother's. Every time I'm in the area, I make a special trip to pick up a slice, because simply the thought of their pizza makes my mouth water. They serve both by-the-slice and whole pizzas. The owners are very amiable. They serve alcohol as well as sodas, and generally have a couple of TVs going with sports and/or news for the patrons. Even at peak hours for them (lunch), I have never had trouble finding a table. As far as parking goes, the restaurant shares a Sam's Club parking lot, so I've never had any trouble finding a spot. Love this place tons.
Pros: Great pizza, fast service, good selection
Cons: They don't deliver
This pizza is over rated, I can't belive the reviews that was writen on this pizza !!!!
No way that this pizza is good, I know pizza this is not pizza it's bread with catsup!!!
it make me wonder who wrote these Reviews?
59 review all saying the same thing, the best pizza any where!!!! Please give me abreak even the chain store makes a better pizza.
Pros: Thumbe way down
I lived in New York for 25 years, after school and work I would get off the train before taking my last commute home (the bus). I'll stop into this pizzeria and order a slice, and talk with the owner. After, eating the first slice I would order my second slice and be on my way. I moved to Houston and ran into my friend from New York The owner of the Pizzeria from Hillside Ave. He remembered me as I did him, we talked, I noticed he's in the mall selling Pizza's (Greenspoint Mall). I moved and worked down the road from them on Hwy 6 S next to Sam's Club. I reminisce, with Brothers Pizza's Nephews. They Call me Ms. Pearl. I would send people to them all the time from work, And those I would send, would come back smiling. Brothers Pizza is the best ever, nice and greasy. I relocated and found Brothers Pizza in California. Good for me! Thank you Brothers Pizza your food is the best.
Pros: Thumbs up, Service is a Plus, Very clean, Smiling faces all the time and Location Great
Cons: PARKING IS ALWAYS CROWDED. But, what you expect for great food
I've lived in Houston all my life but I have visited up north (Boston/NY) and Brother's Pizzeria is the next best thing to their pizza! Yes it is a bit greasy, but hello??? If you are on a diet.. stop eating pizza!! Plus if you fold it in half makes for a great filter...lol. The guys there are always friendly. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! No delivery but worth the drive if you are in the area!....and to the guy "cbewal" who thinks they are racist...you are an idiot! I am hispanic and they have never been anything but respectful and friendly. The guys know me and my boyfriend (also hispanic) by name. I think you need to learn what a line is and wait in it like everyone else. I have never heard them speak disrespectful to ANYONE!
ENJOY THE PIZZA!!
Pros: Great food, great people, great price
Cons: no delivery, but its not that far from my house!
The pizza here is very good and comes close enough to real NY pizza. The dough is thin and the crust is light and airy. There is a good amount of grease that comes off the cheese which I like. I know some don't and like to blot their pizza with napkins. The dough, while thin, is too stiff for me to call it being authentic NY pizza. But other than deficiencies in texture, the slice is overall very tasty. They claim they have a brick oven in the back, but who knows. Good service, good atmosphere. I believe most Houstonians will say this is the best pizza they ever had.
Pros: Great pizza, and they serve beer!
Cons: Too far from my house!
I was really excited to go here because of all the good reviews. I was disappointed though, because the pizza was nothing special. The thin and crispy crust was great. Nothing else stood out as exceptional though. The sauce was bland and didn't taste homemade, pepperoni was nothing special, mushrooms and olives were canned. It was completely average and nothing extraordinary.
The staff was very friendly. They are definitely New Yorkers. They called me boss, which is something I always hear in New York and New Jersey. And just because they are from New York doesn't mean they automatically make great pizza - I have had some fantastic pizza in NY, but I have also had some really crappy pizza in NY.
I have to go against the crowd on this one. Since I don't live in the area, I will not be making the trip back.
Pros: Nice staff, lots of parking
Cons: Average food
we eat here all the time, forget all the major chains, we only eat brothers pizza. the other menu items are good too...try the lasana..its too die for. Not only is the food great, the prices are great and the staff is outstanding. For those of you who are talking trash about it, call pizza hut, spend double the money and take note of how much grease you get on their pizza!
I got to agree with bkheights. I guess cbelwal has never been to New York & stood in a line! I would be a little impatient with someone who doesn't have the common coutesy to stand in a line and WAIT to be served! These guys are the real deal FROM New York, and they SPECIALIZE in Brooklyn-style pizza. I've met the owners (Joe, Ibe, Jimmy, & Zija) and I have to disagree with cbewal. These guys are some of the nicest people I've met in the 15 years of living in Houston, so I recomend (to cbewal) not to visit New York!
Pros: LOTS of video games 2 keep the kids busy
Cons: NONE!
Hey cbelwal,
I was there with my friends for a birthday that afternoon and remember the scene YOU caused. This establishment is like a typical NY pizzaria. You get in line for food to dine in with and to take out. The owner was simply saying nobody is special, dine in or dine out, you wait in line. Being from NY I don't eat anywhere else because of how good it is. BEST IN TOWN!
By the way cbelwal, I go in there 4-5 times a week and always see the owner being friendly with EVERYONE! I think either you were having a bad day or you're the one with race issues.
PS - Learn to spell!
Pros: Authentic NY style pizza and atmosphere.
Cons: Not open on Sun,
Never thought I will come across a place like in USA. One of my friends had warned me about this place, but I didnt beleive me. Then my company had ordered two large pizzas and I had gone to pick them up. I asked the man at the counter about payment and he snapped his fingers me and told me 'boss get in line'. I was like what up with him and looked at him, to which the guy replied that ok he will make an exception but next time I should better stay in line or he will teach me a lesson. I told him I need no favors and I got back in Line. When I finally reached the counter I asked to speak to the owner to which the guy at the counter replied he was. Then I asked him why is he being so rude ? The guy tell me this is America and if I dont like what I hear I should return to my own country. If I dont he will teach me a lesson.
As my friend has mentioned, minorities get 'special' treatment at his place, and I saw it first hand. Blacks, Browns and minorities beware, a 2-bit pizza is not worth it to get humiliated.
Pros: No other pizza place around
Cons: Bad service, rude staff , humiliation par excellence
Now I live right down the street from Brothers pizza and i don't understand how some Lowlifes can talk about that pizza because it's the best pizza in town, the guys that run that place are always happy to see new people and to serve the customer some awesome pizza, also the people that say it's to greasy have never been to New York obviously, and have no idea what the ideal pizza really is and the Philly cheese steak is great as well so go check it out..
Pros: Awesome Pizza,Great Service,Great delivery time
Cons: can't think of any
Brothers Pizza is most definitely a New York style pizza. Thin and crispy is the way most north eastern
folk's like their pizza. If that's the the way you like your pizza, you will not be disappointed. For my money
Brothers make the best pizza in the Houston area.
Pros: Best pizza in Houston area.
Cons: Nothing that would make me want to go any place else for pizza.
This is the best pizza in town. Once you try it, you'll never want any other pizza. The prices are great, and the slices are huge. And the people there are so freindly, they always treat us like family. Great place to eat for the family.
Pros: Big pizza, great price
Cons: absolutely nothing
I think Bruce Willis put it best when he said, and I quote, --- "Damn good pizza, son. Damn good !"
The pizza at Brothers is average at best. It is very greasy, even for non-meat pizzas. The service is no more than adequate. There are several other local pizza shops nearby, and this would probably be near the bottom of my list.
Pros: Price
Cons: average food, below average service
Papa Frank,Lonny,Joe,Ibe,Gary and even with him on his own, can't forget Jimmy!!Great place to eat REAL New York Pizza! Always a Friday with our family, makes us feel like we are back in New York.Great bunch of guys tossing the pies. The Pasta ,Calzones and Strombolis are great! You can even get a bottle of wine,as well as beer and soft drinks.Usually a sports game on while you wait for your food.My Italian mother always taught us that if you fold the slice and the grease isnt running down your hand, it aint pizza. The bill always comes out even, no messin with change or anything. The prices are unbeatable and it's a great family place. Be prepared to wait in line and for a table if you go at lunch or even dinner but, it's WORTH IT!
Pros: Inexpensive, Auth. NY Pizza, Customer Friendly
Cons: Nothing, Nada, Niente!!!
This is the only place that i will get pizza from now. I lived in CT for 17yrs and always ate NY pizza and this place has just like it. I love it!! I reccommend this pizza to everyone that i talk to.
Pros: It tastes like NY pizza and the people that work there are the best. They are so nice and very helpful. I love going to Brothers Pizza!!!
Cons: None!!!!
It's New York stlye pizza so expect some greasy cheese. But that's what make it so good. The crust is thin and perfect. By the slice is actually better than a whole pizza. The prices are better than other places we have tried.
Pros: Best pizza I've ever had
Cons: Wish it was closer to home
I have had the fortunate experience of knowing Brother's since it first opened in West Oaks Mall. They have since grown so big they opened an individual location right at Hwy6 and I-10 across the street from my house. They know us by name and address us as such, they are always friendly. The food is wonderful, it doesnt matter where I try pizza it nevers lives up to Brother's delicious, cheesy, mouthwateringly brilliant pizza. With a large assortment of flavors we never get bored trying different combinations. The pasta is good, I loved the lasagna and they have all kinds of beverages there including beer and usually a sports game on while you wait for your food. Awesome, absolutely awesome! I'll never grow tired of this place.
Pros: Everything about it, great food, good service
Cons: Cant think of even one!
Best pizza in the US hands down is Brother's Pizza on IH-10 and highway 6!!! TRUST ME it's the best. everyone I've introduced it to has agreed with me and become hooked on it too. THE BEST customer service, and so friendly, always busy, and SOOO CHEAP, like $1.50 a slice cheap!!! and sports tv's everywhere, wonderful environment, and honestly the BEST TASTING PIZZA EVER!!! I eat pizza at least once a week and as a pizza expert, I guarantee you will LOVE BROTHER"S PIZZA!!!!
Pros: FOOD, SERVICE, PRICE
Cons: NONE
This place is unbelievable!! The food is delicious!! If you're looking for great tasty NY style pizza, then Brothers Pizza is for you. This is a family run place. The guys at the counter (Lonny, Joe, and E.B.) are really cool and they know everybody by name... and that's very rare in other pizza or restaurant establishments these days. They have multiple locations throughout houston, and they've been around for over 20 years [That speaks volumes]. The place is very clean, great service, friendly atmosphere...most important of all, the FOOD IS GREAT.
Thinking of going somewhere else??? FUGHETTABOUTIT. Check out Brothers. You will not be disappointed.
Naten e Mire :)
Pros: Great food, service, and price
Cons: None... FUGHETTABOUTIT
I don't understand why this place is so highly rated. The pizza is covered in grease. And I realize pizza is supposed to have grease, and I don't normally soak up grease with napkins but it was so bad I used like 20 napkins. I like Fuzzy's though.
-- to everyone who thinks they are italian --
ASK THEM OR LISTEN TO THEM SPEAK IN THIER NATIVE TONGUE... they are Albanian, but it was a good try.. their food is amazing i went once and was hooked, there is nothign better than a piping hot piece of pie! Its affordable and able to fill you up with amazing food!
Pros: great service, inexpensive, amazing food
Cons: NONE, NONE, NONE
KSBJ was asking callers to phone in their "favorite pizza places". One or Two calls came in then the true pizza fanatics started calling with Brothers Pizzeria...Brothers ON I-10 & HWY. 6, CALL AFTER CALL WOW! So i took the trip from Clearlake 25 miles.
" GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY" Brothers was "PACKED" . HANDS DOWN Brothers is best GOD BLESS YALL Joe , Lonnie, Ibe !
Pros: # 1 Service, Inexpensive, Full House #1
Cons: BUST DOWN ALL, THE WALLS AND, BUY THE STRIPE
I have been eating at Brothers pizza for 20 years! When I was in Jr Hi I would go to the mall every Sunday and eat Brothers Pizza for lunch. Brothers had the longest lines by far but that didn't matter! Every year my kids get to decide what we eat for dinner the night of their birthday and this year my youngest son chose Brothers...hands down!!! You will find the best and most friendly service here than anywhere else around.
Pros: Great Food, Friendly Service, Clean Environment
I live very close to this Brother's location and have enjoyed the pizza and have not enjoyed it. When its good its some of the best pizza around, but when its not, its buyer beware. Pizza is supposed to have sauce and be flavorful and unfortunately they fail at providing the needed sauce more often than not in my own expereince. They just are sometimes very sloppy and it shows in the pizza they put out. Good value and good pizza when they are hitting on all cylinders.
Pros: moderately priced, fast, friendly
Cons: inconsistent
My husband & I have been going there almost every week for 3 years. There pizza is the best and the service is fantastic. We are always treated with utmost respect!!!!!
I've been eating Brothers for years. The original is in Geenspoint Mall. They've been around for a long time ,which is the true test of great food. They know almost everyone by name and are a super family.Inexpensive , fast , and friendly but most important the best slice of "pie" ever.I stop at all locations when I'm in the area.Nothing beats a good time and good food.
Their pizza is the real deal, excellent. Very nice, friendly people. Vist once and you will be back.
Brothers pizza useses fresh ingrediants combine with a hand made dough ans sauce it's just the perfect combination of great pizza and big value. You can buy just a slice wich is 2X the size of any other pizzarias slices or buy an affordable wm.med.or lrg. pizza. if you live in houston or are just visiting brothers is the place to eat.
Pros: Exellent food, Exellent price, exellent service
the best greasy, tasty, cheesy, hot, customized, loaded pizza in houston! i like my deep dish at fuzzy's, but for a true NY 'regulah' slice, come here! the crust makes this pizza amazing, and the service, price, and location (very close to where i live), are second to none. their greek salad is likewise the bizzomb. i mean, c'mon, deese guys hee-ya have dat new yowk accent! it's great!
Pros: pizza, price, service
"SPUNTINO" - Brothers is the closest place in Houston to get real Northeast style tasting pizza, calzones and strombolis. I've been living in the Houston area for 6 years and I have tried every other pizza place around Houston and refuse to eat pizza anyplace other than Brothers. Up to now I had to have family FedEx frozen pizzas and calzones from Jersey. All they need to do is make CANOLIS!!!!
I read nothing but raving reviews about Brothers Pizzeria so I had been looking forward to going all week. I visited the one on Hwy 6 for lunch. They were very friendly and the Med. Pepperoni pizza only took about 10 minutes and cost $10 even. If this is authentic NY pizza, then Texans aren't going to like it. Oil was floating on it. This was the oiliest, greasiest pizza I've ever eaten. That would be okay, if the pizza had tasted good, but it wasn't even a good pizza. The pepperonies were the only thing that gave it flavor because there was no tomato sauce to speak of. The opinion of my 20-yr old son was: it's bland and tasteless. Too bad; we were hoping for a great pizzeria close to home.
Pros: fast service, friendly, inexpensive
Cons: bland & oily pizza
When my husband told me about this place that he found on citysearch, I was a little skeptical. I have never been a big "pizza fan" but I decided to give it a go. When we took our family one Sunday afternoon, I found the pizzeria to be a very comfortable and laid back place. The staff was friendly and new most people by name (hard to find these days). We ordered our pie and found it to be a fantastic price. When we sat down they delivered the pie right to our table and just from the apperance alone that it was going to be different. This place is like nothing I have had before. You have to try it, I guarantee it will take those mediocre pizza fans and turn them into pizza fanatics.
Pros: Customer Friendly, Inexpensive, Family Oriented
Cons: one location
Its fantastic. Awesome pizza at a great price. Mushrooms are the best.
Pros: Taste, Service, TV
Cons: Location-construction
