.

I took my dog here about two years ago because he was throwing up and would not eat. They did not do any test on him and told me that he had acid reflex, and sold me a $20 bag of food. It cost me $120. That night he threw up 17 times and still would not eat or drink. The next morning I took him to Banfield Pet Clinic at PetSmart, they told me he had Parvo, within 5 min of seeing him. It cost me a total of $1200 and my dog was in ICU for 3 days. He lived thank god and is healthy as can be. I went back to Park Row Animal Hospital and asked why they did not do a Parvo test, the woman said because it is too expensive. It cost $50 for one test. If I was willing to pay $1200 to save my dogs life I would have been willing to pay $50 to prevent him from feeling terrible all night long. I just found out that this same exact thing happend to a friend of mine. She took her 6 month old dog in yesterday and they told her that it was just an upset stomach. Her dog has continued to throw up and not eat, so just got back from the pet ER and they told her that she has Parvo. Once again, with just one test all her pain and suffering could have been stopped and treated. We are praying that her dog Jenny is going to be fine and that we caught it soon enough. This vet, Park Row Animal Hospital, maybe fine for vacines or small treatments but if you feel that your dog is really sick please make them do a Parvo test. At other vets this is the first thing they test for when a dog has been throwing up and not eating. It will save you money and your dog a lot less suffering.
