I went here as a kid and loved it, and now I take my son here too and he loves it. It looks dinky, but it is so perfect for little kids (he's 2 and has no problem). Everything seems to run just fine, but it would be nice if the employees

Sept 29, 2010 Twenty Five years ago, I used to take my kids to this place. They always loved it and it was their favorite place in Austin. They still talk about it and remember the rides. Now, last weekend I took my 4 year old Grand Daughter and she too loved it. Yes the place is a bit dated, but the kids LOVE it! My favorite and my sons was the Airplane ride. Those are REAL motors on the propellers, propelling it around and that is COOL! So if you have kids from 3 to 8 yrs old, this place is perfect. Yes, HOT in summer, but what isn't! Fall is PERFECT! GO NOW!

We recently learned of this place and went to check it out. Our toddler daughter had a blast on every single ride. She even rode on the real ponies--they have a special seatbelt so that young children can ride safely and I was able to walk next to her. She also loved the little airplanes that had real spinning propellers. It was so fun to finally find a place where our young daughter could actually go on every ride (rather than say, "no, sorry, you're too little for that.") It was a hot afternoon, but they have a lot of shade over all of the rides and the park, and two little misters. The park staff are also so friendly and good with the kiddos. Definitely exceeded our expectations, are reasonably priced (no cost to get in, just pay for ride tickets as you go), and we highly recommend them. We will definitely go back and are planning to have her 2nd birthday party there.

Kiddie Acres amusement park is kind of hidden away, but it is a GREAT place to take your kids. Although the place looks old, everything is in tip-top condition, and safety is placed above all. Although the park is geered to kids under 10, they let the parents ride, walk, or stand with the child (depends on the ride) free of charge.(this can be fun for the adults as well as the kiddos) If a child needs someone with them but no parents can ride, often they will bring an attendant out to stay with the child. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. Their website is kiddieacres.com where it lists all the prices, discounts, birthday party information (great idea!), and open and closed days. Over all, I love this place. It is also a great place for teenagers to find a first job, and they are supervised by the same owners that have been running the place for 28 years.

At first glance, Kiddie Acres looks kind of run down and creepy so we never went there. One day a friend told me about how her kids had a blast there. I decided to take my son there. He had such a great time that we are thinking of having his next birthday party there! They have a mini-golf course, ferris wheel, boats spin in the water, cars that go around, a carousel, pony rides and much more! My son's favorite ride was the train. It was very affordable.

PROS: affordable and fun for small kids
CONS: The rides are safe, but can stand a new coat of paint.

This would be a good place for a small birthday party. It is a bit on the expensive side if you are having quite a few children coming to the party, but if you are having a party with a small group of children then the pricing is very reasonable. Some of the rides are old which scared me a bit due to the safety issue. There is not a whole lot of rides to ride on and you get done fairly quickly. They do have discount days to help you save money. I have also seen the pony rides at our schools festivals so they may rent out ponies too for birthdays.

PROS: Great place for parties
CONS:

My child had a fieldtrip here and although the staff (owners) are extremely friendly the place really needs some updating. I think it is a little expensive, but they do have discount days which can save a lot. There isn't a whole lot to do here. There is an old Merry Go Round, a small version of a ferris wheel, a pony ride section, minature golf . They also have a covered picnic area. Not many other places have shade so it does get quite hot here during the summer.

PROS: Friendly staff
CONS: Needs updating

Kiddie Acres has been around since I was a kid, at least 20 years. They have rides for little kids, and they are little kid sized, too. The ponies are friendly and very easy on little kids, and the staff there is very helpful and nice to the little kids. It is never crowded, and the discounts offered on Sundays, grandparents day is wonderful, all of the rides for only $10.00.

Kiddie Acres is a great little treasure hidden in North Austin. It has 10 rides, all for little kids. They have pony rides with very gentle ponies and handlers, and the rides are designed to go slow for smaller kiddos. They have covered picnic areas for parties, and a really great little train that circles the park. They also offer rental packages for parties with very decent rates!

Kiddies acres is a great place to take younger kids and have a super time. The park is clean and the prices are very affordable. In the summer heat it gets a bit uncomfortable and I really feel sorry for the ponies in the heat. The miniature golf course is pretty average but still fun and challenging. Worth a trip out there. Also, On certain days they have specials.

PROS: Prices Great, Younger children enjoy it, specials
CONS: Uncomfortable in the heat!

Need to spend some time with the family. If so this is the spot to go. They have everything your family will love. You can play miniature golf which is always fun. You dont have to pay to get into the park nor do you have to pay for parking, its really a great place for the little ones to play. They have some fun rides there and pretty good food also.

The kids love it here. All rides are like 1 ticket each; the train and ponys are 2. It doesnt take long to spend the tickets, but the kids have a great time.
