Award-winning margaritas, fish tacos, and tamales-- Baja-Style!!!
  • $1.99 Fish Tacos Every Monday!
  • $3.00 Marg's EVERY SATURDAY!
  • Kids Eat Free all day Tuesday!

Berryhill-Galleria might be in the heart of the bustling uptown Galleria shopping district but stepping through the restaurant's wood doors is like walking into a Baja cantina. One sip of a Berryhill margarita and you just can't help but feel that you should be slipping into a bathing suit and flip flops as you prepare to glide away the afternoon in a low-hanging hammock. OK, maybe that's going a bit far. But, locals and visitors alike flock to Berryhill because it's a haven of relaxation. A great place for the ever-serious business clientele to grab a quick bite for lunch and hang their coats and ties after work. It's equally appealing for families and shoppers who enjoy the restaurant's ambience - complete with painted scenic skies, vibrant color photos of seaside Mexico and hand-crafted ceramic fish that adorn the bar.

Excellent Service!  4 Star Rating - Very good

This place has great margarita. The food is really good and a great price. The staff are really friendly here. We have met up here several times for lunch and the are really quick on the food. When the weather is nice you are able to sit out side on the patio to enjoy the fresh air. I would recommend anytime.

Worst one in the chain! 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I frequent Berryhill's locations on Buffalo Speedway and Montrose, and I enjoy them for what they are. My visit to this location however, was very disappointing.

I ordered the nachos (which I've had numerous times), the roasted corn, and the tortilla soup. The soup and corn were both cold, ... ice cold. The staff was kind enough to heat up the soup and corn for my mom.

The nachos were an absolute train wreck. It was a slop of cheese and sour cream. There was a bit of beef here and there; it was a really horrible.

I will not return to that location.

Pros: Server was nice
Cons: Poor food

Bad Service 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

My date ordered a chicken dish. After 15-20 minutes it had not been brought out yet. I went to the front and they informed me they had lost the order so they started cooking it then and it came out 10 minutes later or so. I love that they have free chips and the food isn't bad but I was unimpressed with the service. The waiter seemed to give me a hard time about ordering a single enchilada however they are listed as a certain price for one.

Pros: Ok price, ok quality
Cons: My experience with service was poor

Terrible customer service on management's part 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

Today is the first time I have had food from Berry Hill and where do I begin... First of all, I don't understand how they charge the prices for their portions. There is no place in Houston that charges ten dollars for a small plate of fajita meet with no rice or beans and little sides of queso and sour cream. Don't get me wrong, the food was good but all it is, is an expensive snack. My order was screwed up and I was charged for items I did not receive. They did offer to refund me my money or to replace the items, but it was at an unconvinced to me. The manager there was of no help at all and actually conducted business in a non professional manner. He decided to cop an attitude towards my co-worker when she called to let him know we were dissatisfied with the service. I have worked as a manager in the food service industry and know for a fact that she was miss-handled. The manager was out of line and should not have acted the way he did. I want my tip back from him after that. All in all, I would not recommend this place to anyone. If my first time eating there was a bad experience, why would I want someone I know eat at this establishment?

Pros: It is close to work
Cons: where do I begin

Simple Tex-Mex 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

It's alright for half-way decent Tex-Mex food. Don't plan to go there and wow new friends or a date.

Pros: Easy parking, inexpensive drinks
Cons: No wait staff
