I cannot speak more highly of First Foundations Preschool! After 3 years of attending, we never want to leave, and wish they had an elementary school as well. My children have attended other schools but have never been as thrilled to get to school every morning as they are at FFP. I have been amazed by the high caliber teachers that genuinely love the kids, and are dedicated to their development. They teach them the required academics in such thoughtful and creative ways while also building in an important Christian foundation. The teachers also care about the families at the school in addition to the children themselves. I was so impressed with how happy the teachers were to be working at FFP. The positive attitudes and joy within the school start from top, and you just feel it radiate throughout the entire building. The environment is so warm and inviting, and I knew the minute that I walked in for a tour that I had to enroll. I would recommend First Foundations to anyone looking for a school with absolutely no hesitation. Dont look anywhere else because this is where you need to be!

We love First Foundations and have had an entirely positive experience with the school. Our daughter spent one year in FFP and entered public Kindergarten well prepared and ahead of the curve. Our son is currently enrolled in the two day program for 3 year old children. He is definitely all boy and I worried about how he would fit into the classroom setting. He is flourishing and thriving within FFP's loving and caring model. His teacher does a fantastic job of lovingly directing the chaos that is the pre-school classroom! She allows the children freedom to explore their learning environment but provides just the right amount of direction and enthusiasm to get them excited about what they are learning. We are a Christian family, and FFP has been a blessing to our children and our family as a whole. Both of our children's faith in Christ and understanding of our savior has been strengthened by their time at FFP.

I want to respectfully disagree with the negative review on here. My own child is very "active" and has been greeted with love and respect. We have attended First Foundations for three years and each teacher has seen her as unique and individual and graciously treated her as such. My son is in his first year and is loving it as well. From a parent with an active and a calm child, I can tell you that they both absolutely thrive at this school.

From personal experience with this school that I love, when a child is active, the parents are encouraged and loved and given resources to truly help the child reach his or her potential. Teachers have meetings. They pray for the child. They work with the parents to help the child in very generous ways. In a week long camp environment, there is no time for that relationship to be established or developed. My guess is that if the same child were enrolled for the entire year, many strategies and modifications would be first made in order to ensure his success.

My career is to provide staff trainings for schools around the country. First Foundations Preschool is always one of my top examples of how a loving school can be achieved. The FFP teachers love God and children. They live it. They model it. I highly recommend this school to friends and they all love it just as I do.

It makes me so sad that a parent's response when someone tries to help open his eyes to a possible concern with his child is to attack the messenger.

Our experience with First Foundations Preschool has far surpassed our dreams for our two children. As parents, solid early education and exemplary curriculum is of the utmost importance when it comes to choosing a preschool and at First Foundations not only did our children receive this but then some. We truly hit gold when we made the decision to send our children here.
We wanted a school environment that offered excellent curriculum along with a positive and nurturing atmosphere. We value our Christian beliefs and felt content and comforted that our children would be exposed to these beliefs in a loving and kind way while teaching them the fundamentals rooted in our faith. Thus reinforcing what we, as parents, strive for our children to know and believe in this day and age: That they are important, contributing members of a greater society in a God loving world.
Our children were cared for, nurtured, educated, and made to feel important and special every single day they entered the walls of First Foundations. Every day our children were provided a safe and loving environment where administration and teachers came together with an obvious team approach mentality. Even at the tender ages of 3 and 4, our children were known by name and their individual personalities were encouraged to shine and blossom. They were taught to integrate into the classroom setting with positive reinforcement thus enabling them to enter elementary school with the utmost of ease and confidence. They have been encouraged to be respectful to both peers and teachers which Is so important in this day and age. Their ability to know letters, sounds, numbers, colors, and shapes, etc. going into grade school enabled them to far surpass their peers once entering kindergarten thanks to the excellent ??foundation? provided at First Foundations. This educational foundation helped them gain a love for learning that continues on? what more could a parent want!
We would highly recommend First Foundations to anyone wanting only the best for their child. The quality of education, the constant support, and the nurturing offered here is unlike any other. It saddens me that our time at First Foundations is coming to an end as our youngest child enters grade school. But our time at First Foundations will never be forgotten and we will forever be grateful to the administration, Steffani Wilkins, teachers and staff. They will always hold a dear and special place in our hearts for enriching my family??s life in more ways than they know but most important that they offered an amazing educational start and encouraged a wonderful understanding and appreciation of God??s love for us all.

Active Children Need Not Apply.

My wife and I were very excited that our child was about to start pre-school for the very first time. He had spent so much time playing in our home and we wanted to get him socialized with other children and into a learning routine. Our son is active and likes to run and play, but he is also very polite, kind, and friendly with others. To get him settled into this routine we decided to enroll him with one of the week long summer camp programs that this school offered.

So we made all our preparations and get him setup and off to his first day. You can image my surprise when my wife called me an hour later to tell me that we needed to come and pick up our child. Shocked, I called the school to see what all this was about. After talking with the Director, Ms Wilkins, I came to find out that my son was "too active" for their class. He was constantly up and roaming around. He also would not sit or follow instructions. She told me that she had to basically put one teacher on him to constanly watch my child. She even suggested that perhaps he might have ADD and that I might want to seek some special teachers that could work with him.

To say that I was shock is to say the least. I am sure that most parents know their children and how they act very well. I tried to explain that this was his first time in such a school/class type setting and truly away from my wife and I. He is a very bright boy and likes to figure things out and explore. At three, he is already quite well versed in smartphones, remote controls, lights, etc. I am sure that a new place was full of wonderful new things to look at, understand, and explore.,,,like most curious children. Once the newness wears off, then they look settle in and follow instruction and learn the new interesting things that life has to offer.

I was very suprised that this detailed evaluation took place in the first 30 minutes that my son was there. While they did offer to refund my money for the program, they did not even want to TRY to work with him and see if he got better later in the day or on a following day. Obviously the best child is a quiet, calm, and docile one that mindlessly sits and these are the ones that should apply to this school.

I have since enrolled him in an excellent Montessori school. His first days were active as before, but within two days the teachers said that he had adjusted to the class and was doing well. He has now been there for over a month with no problems and is learning at a fast rate. He loves his school and is always excited about attending and learning new things. How fortunate that we could find a place that does not judge within the first 30 minutes and is accepting and encouraging of his exploring and curious nature.

So.. the lesson here is that first time children that are active need not apply to this school.
