This place has a good location because its so close to campus, but its just like chipotle like below. They are just huge burritos that make you miserabley full! I enjoy it hungover, but wouldn't go unless i was.

Freebirds is still the ORIGINAL an best big burrito place, but Hooya is really good too. Living in denton i have the choice of hooya or chipotle, and i choose hooya every time. Its kind of lame that queso/sour cream/quacamole cost extra. But i love it because they have cayenne tortillas as an option. Overall great place, especially for cellege kids.

Pros: awesome food

Cons: extras cost more

Hooya is an alternative to Chipotle. It is a hole in the wall place that has cheap make it yourself burritos. The food and service are both great and it's right by UNT campus so you can walk there!

Hooya's is excellent food. It's a small place but the food is excellent. There is plenty of parking and always good people watching. Very inexpensive for the amount of food you get. Plan on eating half and then having the rest at another sitting.

A definite must!

Another big burrito place. Chipotle made burritos mainstream. Freebirds turned SMU students with late night munchies into burrito fans. And now Hooya is making UNT students burrito crazed. It's basically the same thing: a small dive with big 'ol burritos. There are three sizes available, just like at Freebirds - and yes it looks cheaper at the first glance, but once you find out that anything extra costs money (i.e., tomatoes, sour cream, guac, etc etc), you start to realize Freebirds and Chipotle are bargains in comparison. There are several different types of tortillas available (flour, corn, spinach and cayenne) - my favorite is the cayenne. There are also several types of fillings (steak, chicken, veggies, etc etc) - steak is my choice.

Service is cafeteria style so it's fast. There's usually a long line for lunch, but again, it goes pretty fast.

Pros: bigggg burritos - nice place to hang out.. if you're a college student

Cons: a bit stingy on the toppings - loud and crowded at lunch

This is the place to go in town! The huge wrapped burritos comes stuffed to the edges with everything you can imagine. It's a great buy for the food you virtually inhale!
