We've been going to this place ever since I can remember, which is a pretty long time! They have the best bread I've ever had in my life. They also have the usual Czech desserts, including excellent kolaches. Go early though, they usually run out of rye bread by the afternoon. (It also freezes well, if you're like me and don't want to go into Berwyn very often).

Gross, but must be said. My relative works at ButterKrust Bakery here in San Antonio and on June 22nd, a supervisor named Aaron Villareal severed his finger but thought it was just cut. 8 hours later he looked at it and the tip was missing. He then reported it, but ButterKrust couldn't find his finger tip. It went in a bread loaf. ButterKrust makes the store brands for HEB and Wal-Mart as well as Colonial and ButterKrust brands. This is very common knowledge at the local bakery--

PROS: great if you like finger food (eww!)
CONS: not many people like fingers in their bread
