Halina European Day Spa

I guess because I am a creature of habit I shouldn't be writing this at all but, when you go to an establishment that calls itself a "SPA", you would expect top notch service and top notch care in how you present yourself. Other than Trina, who does a wonderful job (when she is there) and Andrea, the nail tech (she is no longer there), I can't say much for this place at all. They charge exorbitant amounts for haircuts, color and nails. I am told that these poor people work on commission - I wonder where the rest of the money goes??? They don't replace burnt out lightbulbs, they are always out of coffee and to top off my last experience there, one of these wonderful ladies began argument with another as I was sitting there - very unprofessional.

I was the victim of a horrible wax job at Halina. I had been referred by a friend who said they did it great, but they butchered me. They didn't prepare my skin and didn't put pressure after the waxing, so it was incredibly painful.

My skin had a lot of raised-up bumps afterwards, and it was very painful, and almost to the point of infection! I went to She Etc. and they helped me out, though it was a long process.

YIKES!

If you need a place to go to "escape" from the stress of everyday life, this is definately the place to go. The staff is world class and you can get any spa treatment you could want. They are rather pricey, but worth every penny. It is located next to a gated apartment complex and they have limited parking so it can be a struggle to get a spot. Leave extra time to allow for this.
