Even though I do prefer certain veterinarians there over the others, everyone that has seen my 2 dogs have been top notch. On my two year old mixed breeds first appointment, he was a little gun-shy due to some not so great treatment by a tech at Banfield. Within 2 minutes, Elizabeth, the tech there, had him wrapped around her finger. I've now been taking both of my dogs there for just under a year and they're very accommodating. They've both been boarded there and although I hate to leave them with anyone (I'm one of THOSE mommy's...) I trust them implicitly. Both Lizzie and Wayne are outstanding employees there and have always been most helpful to me whenever I've called with a question. I was sad to see Dr. Quirk go, but my dogs love Dr. Zengler. I've read other reviews on here and other sites and felt compelled to leave my review just because they've taken such great care of both me and my dogs. I think every business has it's downfalls and it's bad days, but their genuine caring and drive for excellence overshadows them in my book.

Pros: Very friendly staff, in and out quickly, extremely accomodating

Cons: Nothing terrible, although nothing really sets them apart aside from their attitude.

We have been with O'Connor Road for many, many years. Dr. Brown was our veterinarian until he passed away. The staff he left behind has been great to that clinic. We enjoy going to visit them and my cats receive excellent care.

I had a great experience with this hospital. I am new to the area and their facility is near by. My dog became ill and they worked me in within a couple of hours knowing that I had never been to them before. The staff was very friendly

Cons: so is everyone in it.

I had to take my cat into the vet. The dr's are GREAT! I was disapointed in the turn around time to get back to me. I was told it would only be an hour and a half at most i would be leaving my cat there for blood work, turned out to be all day long.

Today is Febuary 22nd, 2008. We took Snuggz (actually Lady Snuggle Muffins, our 17 month old tan/black female retriever/Shepperd mix) in to be spayed. We've been using O'Conner Road Animal Hospital since 1998 or so, and have always been treated very well - nothing like the negative review I saw here. In fact, Dr. Brown and Dr. Quirk are just very good dog psychologists, in addition to being very caring and skilled vets! They've been great at understanding and communicating with dogs and people alike! Today, the girl at the counter (sorry, didn't get her name) was very polite, and very knowledgeable about specific precautions, possible complications, and post-operative treatment associated with the procedure. She knew her paperwork very well, and thoroughly explained every option we had regarding today's procedure, as well as other vaccinations, treatments, and general preventative health maintenance for our Snuggz. Dr. Quirk performed the procedure and met with me after Snuggz recovered from the anesthesia. I could give more detail, but unless you've had a really good dog before and watched them while they were still a bit doped up, you would have a hard time appreciating how much Dr. Quirk really cares about animals and their care. When someone (or some dog) you love is placed in a rather vulnerable position, and someone takes great care to protect them and help them through the situation, you can't help but to bond with them. These are great doctors, and they run a great hospital!

We too have used Dr. Brown for a few years, and he was wonderful. I am afraid we did not say that to him enough. We will truly miss him, and the care he gave. As far as the rest to the doc's there I have not had any dealings with. Sad and shacken by the loss of a wonderful person.

PROS: A wonderful doctor and person
CONS: Passed away on 10/25/06

I have 2 cats & 2 Australian Shepherd dogs. I took 1 dog & 1 cat in together at a time 1 hour apart 2 take all of them in 1 day. First I saw Doc Brown, an excellent vet who owns the vet hospital. I had wanted the chip & rabies shots for my cats and rabies shots for my dogs. I came in an hour later with my other 2 animals and was set up with KRISTI HANNA, a vet that I had not dealt with before. I have been coming to Dr. Brown for 8 years with no problems. I was asked to weigh the dog .At the scale I said" Hup Hup" that's what he understands as jump onto something. K Hanna said " What did you just say? Up up or get up? You need to teach him words that everyone knows so everyone can communicate with him." I should have left then... She gave the shot to my dog first and noticed he still has his dew claws, she said "Somebody screwed up!" I said"What do you mean by that?" And she said you should have had those removed! very sarcastically. I told her that I decided not to have his dew claws removed. I believe it is my choice as a dog owner what to cosmetically remove in surgery. I was upset by her demeanor by now. I want the chip in my 2 cats since they are indoor/outdoor. She said "well, Why don't you just keep them inside?" sarcastically. I told her that I was not going 2 do that to them. She said"well, I can see how they can get enjoyment out of it." Then why would she ask me 2 keep them inside all of the time? She did not know what she was doing, I took my cat out of her carrier and placed her on the exam table. She asked me to remove my hands! She gets the syringe and jabs it into my cat making her SCREAM repeatedly and injects it under her shoulderblade, so now it won't scan. She looked in the syringe.. it wasn't there. She said"I guess I should have scanned it before I put it in the cat"( I still don't know IF it scans!) KH told me 2 fill out papers for chip,She wasn't sure if it required papers or not! (It Doesn't)I complained to Jody, an office gal.

PROS: Dr. Brown is an excellent vet who owns the hospital and is very patient
CONS: Kristi Hanna needs more training as a vet and as a human.
