This hospital is a nightmare. They lost one of my ultrasound scans and LIED about things in their reports!!!!! I don't recommend this hospital, especially if you're having a baby. The ER also has doctors who deliberately NEGLECT signs of trauma. After an auto accident, my speech was slurred, I was in and out of consciousness and had a broken wisdom tooth!! He put on the discharge " concussion without loss of consciousness"
I had minor surgery last month at Tomball Regional. Months before surgery, I called the hospital to find out how much I would owe after my insurance picked up the tab. They told me that I would pay $1100. On two different occasions I was told the dollar amount and it was confirmed twice by the hospital. I was diligent and paid the amount owed BEFORE surgery. It was an in/out surgery and I was home in three hours. Now, after surgery is over and it a month has passed, they say I will need to pay an additional $1300. How ridiculous after the fact? What if you paid your electric bill what they wanted you to pay and then a month later, they came back and said, oh, by the way we forgot to tell you that the rates went up last month and you owe another $300. Ridiculous!! Tomball, that is shameful and crooked!! You knew exactly what my insurance would pay well before surgery and you cannot come back to people after the fact and say, oh, by the way!!! Life doesn't work that way. If it did, we could all be rich!!

I went in thinking I might have thrush so waited an 1-1/2 hrs before being put in a room then another 1-1/2 hrs to get a prescription they did no tests for. I went to my doctor two weeks later they did an actual blood test turns out to be MONO. I had more contact with the hospital staffer who takes your insurance then I did with any physican and never even saw a doctor. They allow people to just wander around the ER which shouldn't be allowed. My husband walked up to the front desk requesting the prescription after being told an 1-1/2 hour that they write it out and be on my way. Doctors and Nurses were just standing around. I wouldn't drop off a dog there and I promise I'll never go back. I would suggest Methodist they are really great but Tomball Regional is something I would expect out of a bad movie. Glad I wasn't having a heart attack.
I write a blog.
and I wrote one about tomball hospital. I wrote about how bad the service was. then sudeenly I get responses to my blog saying that I am wrong and how family friendly they are there. So i go into user tools, and I find that all the posts where coming from with the hospital it's self. How deceptive is that? . I am sure if someone looks into it they will see that all positive remarks left here where from within tomball hospital on an at&t i.p. address.

I went to the Tomball ER this past weekend, and they absolutely SUCK!!!!! I went in there at 3:00 pm Friday afternoon. I was 10 weeks pregnant and bleeding. I was not put into a bed in the back until 11:00pm. They did a pelvic exam and sent me to ultrasound, and informed me at 2:30 am Saturday, that the baby had no heartbeat and no movement, and that was why I was bleeding. I think it was absolutely rediculous for me to have waited that long, when all the babies who had 100 degree fevers were all seen and discharged before they even did a single thing with me. I even have insurance that has no deductible for me. They were going to get paid no matter what, and I think it is wrong that I wasn't seen until 8 hours after I got there.... I should have gone to TW, I love the area, but wanted to go to Tomball since that would have been the hospital that I would have delivered at because of my doctor having an office a block from the hospital..... I should have just taken the drive. Maybe I wouldn't have wasted 12 hours to find out my baby was gone. I now have to wait a month for the baby to go out on it's own, because the doctor won't do a D&C until it has been at least a week or two.... I should have just made the drive..... I would have been right next to my mom at least....

I took my 4 month old into the emergency room and was seen right away. Cy-Fair Hospital told us it would be a 5 hour wait and I could not have our baby wait that long. The staff was wonderful. They were friendly and thorough. They did not speed through the exam or rush us out. It was great to have our worries calmed and know our baby would be okay.

I would not recomend Tomball Hospital for any kind of emergency care. There is always hours and hours of waiting even when they are not busy. The staff does not like answering questions and will just ask you to take a seat. Very rude and I will not return to this hospital as long as I have a choice.

No one ever wants to have to go to the hospital. However, if it becomes necessary, I have no qualms about having my family use Tomball Regional Hospital. TRH is a top notch facility. They have recently expanded and are constantly looking for ways to improve upon what is there. All of the staff I have encountered have been courteous and willing to take time to help you understand what is happening, fromthe nursing staff or the administrative staff. From housekeeping to dietary, we have never had a bad situation.
I really like this hospital. I had taken my son there to the emergency room and they were so quick and nice. A lady came out while we were there and gave my son a small stuffed animal and coloring book. The nurses and doctors are very nice and helpful. I try to take all my children there when i have an emergency.
