I was saddened to see the review "" Terrible School."" I feel its imperative to speak for a school that has nurtured and prepared my children in a very positive and amazing way. While no school is perfect, our experience at Town and Country Montessori was wonderful! Town and Country Montessori has been a part of our lives for several years. Two of our children were guided, nurtured and loved by Ms. Surangi and our third child attended Town and Country while Ms. Surangi was a director. They have developed academically and socially with respect and an appreciation for diversity and culture. Town and Country Montessori has prepared all of our children for a smooth transition from Montessori to the next level. \r\nMs. Surangi, as a dedicated director and an experienced educator for several years has always nurtured children and maintained a quality school for many years. Hats off to Town and Country Montessori and its conscientious teachers who have fostered and nurtured many children's lives in Austin!

Absolutely awful. I agree with the person above - and in addition the staff are not nurturing AT ALL. Not what Montessori is about. In fact, there is a very high teacher turn over rate. Not a good sign. They are always hiring help and there is never a wait list (so if you don't mind that, then send your child here), which means no one wants to go here!! The director is NEVER available - she's always in a ""meeting"" (turns out she wheels and deals and is banking in on the Montessori name). Had my son there for one month only and was not happy at all with the facility. It's dirty and crowded and loud. Put him in another Montessori school (an AMS accredited one) and he and I are MUCH happier. This school should be shut down.

My five year old daughter has gone to Town and Country for a year after being in a different preschool. The difference in the education she is getting is amazing. She is reading, doing math up through multiplication, is learning sign language and is learning about the world around her and her place in it. What she is getting is priceless. Her teachers have fostered a love of learning that will carry through her academic career. I love that the school is not just about ABC's and 123's. The school is culturally diverse and the kids learn about the world not just a small portion of it. I would highly recommend Town and Country to any parent wanting to give their child the best educational start possible. I just started my 21 month old twins there.

My child has been attending Town and Country Montessori for almost a year now. She absolutely loves her teachers and gets excited when we turn into the driveway of the school. Ms. Sharon and Angie are the best, I am so happy they're there.

My boy went to Town & Country Montessori School when he was four year old. During his short term, he learned so much on being a responsible citizen, how to prep himself for the next level of public education and the love of learning which can be fun too. He truly enjoyed his days at this school. The principal and teachers are caring, polite and always have the children well being first at heart. \r\n

Where else does your kid go to school and give each teacher a hug before saying good-bye each day? Not only is the curriculum and teaching outstanding, the love the kids get here is priceless. This is an amazing school with incredibly dedicated teachers. My daughter loves to go to school and looks forward to learning. We can't believe how quickly she has learned!. Both our sons attended this school as well and they are doing so well in middle school thanks to the Montessori foundation that was set. We drive 26 miles each way to get our daughter to school every day, but it's worth it!!

This school has the poorest hygiene conditions in the world.\n\nMy child attended this school for 6 months and she has fallen sick atleast 10 times since then. The incident that made me take my child out of the school is horrifying.I found her water drinking bottle in the restroom sink (wash basin) when I went to pick her up.There are about 30 kids in her class and you can imagine what kind of germs must be living in that sink\n(wash basin). The teachers who work there were so irresponsible that they did not even pick up the water bottle from there and didn't look like they had any intention to let me know about the incident. I had to pick it out myself! The worst is my child fell sick the very next day with a bad stomach flu due to which she had vomiting and diarrhea for 4 days and later developed bronchiolitis (infection of the lungs not the respiratory tract) and was running 104 fever for 8 days. She had quit eating/drinking anything. We had to treat her with antibiotics to get her out of the lung infection. She lost 2 pounds in just 8 days. When I talked about this with her class teacher Ms Coraza she didn't even say sorry for this!! Also, she had repeated ear infections because of which we had to get the tubes placed in her ears.\n\nThe person who runs the school Ms Surangi doesn't even stay at the school the whole day.She stays in the morning till 10.30 till all the parents drop their kids and then she is gone for the day. There is no controlling authority the whole day!! How can we expect the teachers to do their job then? \n\nIn all ways, this school is a bad choice. If you want your child safe and not fall sick every two weeks, don't choose this school! \n\nThis school doesn't even deserve 1 star.Citysearch forced me to enter the rating. So I ahve given it 1 star.\n

I have had two boys in this school since 2004. While no school can give you everything, this school comes pretty close. Great emphasis on learning for fun. Malcolm was reading at 3!
