Very good indeed

by Preston R.

I went in looking for something different and what I receive were an experience. I enjoyed the service and the food. The interior was clean and very different from others had an identity of it's own. One of the service persons explain the menu and even knew the dish concept, I was impress and will be back again. this is a nice place to impress clients for that early dinner reservation you will not regret it.

Not the best

by Madnira S. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,003

I ate at this restaurant twice. I thought, after the first meal, that maybe I just ordered the wrong food, or caught them on a bad day. I love Mediterranean food. This is really bad, super over-priced, Mediterranean. The rice was dry and old. The meat in each dish I ordered was tough and dry. I could barely chew the beef or chicken without reaching for water. My dinner guests, each time, had the same impression.

Great food

by Mediaalsewaili

Food is great , always fresh, big variety, even vegeterians can have many choices, place is always packed for a reason, I have been there many times to both at Beechnut and Westhiemer locations and always was happy and satisfied with what I had, their grill is really something to reckon with , take your friends and have a great meal

Pros: clean, fast service, friendly staff,

Cons: ambience , always crowded, waitresses not very well trained

Amazing Pita Bread

by ferociousjane

We were pretty antsy to get out post hurricane and were crazing mediterranean! We saw reviews of this and were looking forward to it! As we approached, we saw that most of the block didn't have power and were hoping that they'd still be open! To our luck, they were! They were running on backup generators! Though, they didn't have their full menu up, they still had a great handful of choices from many meat dishes to several vegetable dishes. The hummus was amazing and their homemade pita bread is to die for! The staff was super friendly and helpful as we explained it was our first time there.

The aura was pleasant and seemed to have a loyal customer following. I definitely recommend trying out this tasty and friendly joint!

Pigeon inside Fadi's? Yes.

by pritikina

My wife and ate at the Fadi's on Westheimer and Dunvale. Everything was fine and tased good. Until of course my wife looked up and noticed a pigeon at the top the wall. We sat at opposite side from the line where you give your order. I walked over to the cooks and asked "Who is the manager?" He mentioned she was at the register so I walk to her and waited until she finished with the customer. I said, "There is a pigeon on top of the wall." She ignored me and started to ring up the next customer. I said, "There's a bird, a pigeon in you restaurant. It's like having a r@t in your restaurant." Well, she continued to ignore me so my wife and I left. We will noy be going back. It's one thing to have a pest problem, but quite another to act indifference and aloof when a customer advises you of a pest in your restaurant.

Inexpensive for the quality of food and service

by ca02k16

Always fresh, delicious and very inexpensive food. For those who think this place is expensive, maybe you should stick with fast food which by the way is not prepared, presented nor as delicious as Fadi's. Portions are plentiful and everything I have tried has been superb. For two people (who do not mind sharing a plate) I recommend sharing 4 sides and each get a separate meat or fish. All staff is friendly and helpful.

Pros: Freshness of food, friendliness of staff

Cons: Cramped parking lot

Great food!

by 125vaw

We ordered lunch for 19 visiting dignitaries because we'd heard Fadi's had good mid-eastern food. "good" was an understatement! When I picked up the food (Westheimer location), it was hot, and the staff very helpful in getting it to the car.

The food was absolutely delicious! Our guests scarfed down all of it and none was left for the staff (and we ordered plenty...so we thought!)

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fadi's!

Great Food, but price is definetly an issue!!

by delicatessecritic

Middle eastern food, especially the one that is found at Fadi's is known as fast food. But having to spend over 10 dollars per dish is unacceptable. I would recommend for this restaurant to overhauld their Cost Accounting to make it a better price to value ratio. One thing I truly like about the restaurant is their atmosphere, how they display the food, and the friendliness of the staff. Cleanliness is definetly a must for a restaurant, but I believe that Fadi's does a good job in cleaning their restaurant. I restrooms need sometimes a little more cleaning, but it is acceptable considering how many people frequent the restaurant. The fresh juice section is great, but sometimes lacks variety. The fish, rice with butter, and lamb shanks are great. The hummus and babaganush is great!!
I have catered numerous times for events at my home from Fadi's and I believe the two brothers do a great job in it! KUDOS!!!
Keep the middle eastern food real, as what you serve is fast food. Please try to lower your prices accordingly. I know you export import food from the middle east, that means you get ingredients much cheaper, try to reflect that. As such i give you only 3 stars.

Pros: Cleanliness, Great Food, Great Catering

Cons: PRICE is TOOO HIGH, This is fast food

I would not bother

by justaguyinhouston

Ok, this food is NOT authentic middle eastern food. Now that would not be a big issue if it was still good food, but it's not! The menu is a hybrid of foods from all over and the arabic dishes they have don't even come close to tasting good. I have been there twice and I left both times regretting it. Not a good value for the money at all if you ask me
And one more thing, no AC in the middle of summer in Houston??? what's that all about?
I hope that has changed!

Pros: None

Cons: Food quality, value

Fadi's Top Choice

by nurse_jen

I LOVE Fadi's. The chain is family-owned and operated, and the food is authentic and delicious. I first went to Fadi's at the urging of a Lebanese friend who knows the Fadi brothers, and he told me it's the only place in town to find delicious and authentic Lebanese/Mediterranean food. Boy, was he right! The fresh pitas, creamy hummus, and fresh roasted Baba Ganoush just danced in my mouth. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the dining room was lovely and clean. I am a lifelong vegetarian, and they have so many options for veggies that it dizzies the mind. Since my initial visit I have returned upwards of 10 times, each being better than the last.

I highly recommend Fadi's both to those who are already well-versed in Middle Eastern/Mediterranean cuisine (as I am) and to the novice. As for the reviewer who had such hateful things to say, well, I suspect this person has not ventured much outside traditional American fare (or south Texas diners, for that matter).

Pros: Authentic Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food, cheerful atmosphere

Cons: Cafeteria-style service

Plain and nasty food

by dineout1965

This was the absolute worst Mediterranean food I have ever eaten! The food was disgusting, the server got our order wrong, and the prices were high & horrible!!!! $50-60 for two adult and two kid entres, and that is with NO alcohol or dessert, What a waste of time and money!!!!!
We will NEVER go back.

Very authentic

by lmoses

Best hummus in town. I love this place. The portions are huge so I normally get the 1 meat and 2 sides and share with who ever I go with and we still have left overs. Be sure to ask for the fresh pita bread for the hummas it is wonderful.

Cons: very loud
