I had a very pleasant experience at Appliance Mart a few weeks ago. I was shopping all over town for a new refrigerator and Appliance Mart was my last stop. I found the refrigerator I was looking for there and it was much less than any of the other stores I had been to. The sales person was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. They had it in stock so I was able to have it delivered the next day. The delivery driver was very courteous and professional. I will definitely recommend them to all my friends and to anyone who is reading this.

This is not the place to buy anything! The only people they care for are the ones looking to buy their top of the line appliances. Even if you do buy them they are unlikely to provide any real service after the sale. The owners intentionally distance themselves from customers so they can have plausible deniability. The sales people will refer you to a manager who will, in turn, refer you to your salesperson. the whole "go ask your mom, go ask your dad" routine. all the while they are biding time till your warantee runs out so they can tell you there is nothing you can do. Your best bet is to contact the manufacturer and explain that they are giving you the runaround and let them take care of it for you.

I have bought from Appliance Mart on two occasions, once in 2005 during my remodel and again in 2007 for my new home. I purchased complete kitchen packages which included refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. In 2007 I bought a complete set again, including the vent microwave. I am a frugal buyer. Appliance Mart had the best prices available for the package, believe me I looked around. I also bought the higher end Frigidaire Professional Series both times. I have not had any issues with them. Sales people were proffesional and they even offered to deliver my second set more than 100 miles away for free.

I purchased a brand new washer and microwave in March 2008 and have had problems with both in less than a year from the time of purchase! The repair department does a very poor job of following up on their repair orders and I am constantly having to call up there myself to get the ball rolling. I am still waiting for the grill to my microwave. I will never purchase from these fools again!

My wife and I shopped for a kitchen package at several stores in town. After a few weeks of shopping around we finally purchased a kitchen package from Appliance Mart. We noticed when we walked into Appliance Mart we were not swarmed by a salesman, we were able to shop and look around without the salesman pressuring us to "buy today". Their prices were actually lower than some of the big stores we shopped at, but the main thing was they had everything in stock. We would recommend Appliance Mart to all our family and friends. The service we received was A+ and have been very pleased with our appliances.

I bought a brand new Maytag washer 6/2008.
The bearings went out in early Dec 2008. Service came out and said they had to order parts and it would take 2 -10 days. At 2 weeks we called and the parts were on back order (needless to say they did not call to tell us this).
We called again on 12/17/2008 and were informed that they could not get the part and they were in touch with whirlpool to get us a new washer. They gave me Whirlpools number to call and I was told that it was Appliance Marts fault as they did not get in touch with them until 12/15. Finally after alot of phone calls they say the part is in and on 12/23 they come out to fix it only to find they need another part. They say they can overnight the part and possibly be out 12/24 or 12/26 to fix it. The part doesn't come in and my washer is torn apart, and I can't do laundry. They say the part will be in on 12/29. I call and they say maybe on 12/30 after 430pm. So of course by this point I don't believe anything they say. I do on average of 3 -4 loads of washing per day. I have now been without a washer for 6 days. Have already been to the laundry 3 times and we live in the country and have to travel quite a distance to the laundry.
The repairman is pathetic as he always says he will call back and yet he never does. I will never buy from them again and will make sure everyone I know, knows how pathetic they are.

I would not recommend this store to anyone. I saw an add for a washer and dryer pair that was priced at what I thought was low. After being warned by several people I decided to give them the benefit of a doubt. I went in and put the pair on lay-a-way. A couple of days later I saw the exact same pair much cheaper somewhere else so I called and went in to get a refund and cancel my order and they told me that there was no refund on lay-aways and that was their store policy. Now I proceeded to show them that on my receipt no where did it say that there was no refunds on lay-a-ways nor was there any sign in the store or office that indicated this "store policy". The only thing the receipt stated, which by the way had the wrong store information, was that there were no refunds on special orders. I did not have a special order; it was in the warehouse. Anyway they proceeded to call the cops on me and I let them. When they arrived we both explained our sides of the story and the cops were basically siding with me. I still have a credit with them since they would not give me my money back. Talk about customer dissatisfaction!!!

I consider myself to be a very frugal shopper. In the past 10 years I have bought all my appliances (2 office window a/c units, two refrigerators, freezer, 2 counter-top electric stoves. All still working when I upgraded them I might add) at Appliance Mart because their prices were sooo much lower than any where else I looked.They stand behind their products with first class warranty and service. I will continue to purchase from them and highly recommend them!
05/03/2010: After purchasing a new refridgerator and 18K BTU Window AC/Heater unit, I had a problem with the window unit making noise. I called Customer Service. They had a gentleman out within 2 hours, he diagnosed the problem, pulled the unit out of the window and fixed the problem, reinstalled the unit and was out in 30 minutes.
Can't expect anything more than that. Very Pleased with this retailer.
PS: I don't hold a retailer responsible for a manufacturers poor quality control. The retailer can not possible pre-test every appliance they sell because then it would be considered used, however, I do expect them to exchange or rectify the problem in a timely and reasonable manner which has ALWAYS been done for me.

Compared to other retail stores, Appliance Mart is overly priced. I have seen the same merchandise for much cheaper at other stores. Even when Appliance Mart has sales, their prices are still very high. I would not recommend this store.

I have been to this store on three separate occasions. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and therefore returned once again. I have found that the prices aren't comparable to the other appliance stores.
