In Short
Red-checkered tablecloths, piped-in country music, and wooden booths--can't get much more Texas than that. This friendly chain keeps the hungry lunch crowd coming back time and again. Pok-e-Jo's serves up great smoky-flavored barbecue: The chicken, either half or a quarter, is crispy on the outside and simply amazing with the special Pok-e-Jo's hot sauce. Best of all, the lunch special--your choice of meat with two sides--is available for dinner as well.

My family and I love PokeJo's. The side dishes are the best, they definitely have more to offer than your average bbq places. The mash potato casserole is the best, as is the green bean casserole, and do NOT forget the banana pudding! :)

With lots of really good places for bbq in the area, pok-e-jo's is on the top of the list for us. The sauce is awesome! I like their brisket and their potatoes. You order at the counter - kind of cafeteria style, so it's casual enough for a quick lunch or dinner. Reasonable prices, friendly staff.

Ratings_icons Nothing fancy just great BBQ

Okay, this is just a really really good BBQ joint. It ain't trying to be nothing more than that. I first became familiar with their food when we had them cater a luncheon at work. And whenever I get the hankering for a pile of smokey brisket or spicey sausage I can come here, fill my craving, leave with a full stomach and do so for not a whole lotta money.

Pros: Good value for the money

Cons: I don't think they have a full liquor liscense

I love this place! The staff are friendly and helpful! It is so fun to watch the meat cutters and there is a toy train that goes around the room. I'd like to send a special "Thumbs Up & Great Job" to the GM Eric, and also to Sam, JJ, Angel, Dave the bread guy and to the oldtimers: Laura F., Gina, the Lindsays, Salvador, Erica and the other people I can't think of right now. No ticket no tako!

Love you guys!! -"Taffy"

Pros: everything

Cons: everyone loves it :)
