When you cross that time in our life when you have to put your loving companion down, you want compasion and understanding. I had to cross that bridge due to my 18 1/2 year old Aussi mix had seizures. I was scared came in the office with out an appt during lunch and open the door screaming. The entire staff was running to help. The girls grabbed him and placed him on the table Dr Page kept talking to me, she said they are like people they hear fear in your voice, they will be scared. She kept talking to me to calm me during the whole time she was working on my dog. Dr Page explained everything and the possible opitions with medications and what to expect and what might happen. During the whole time my TJ and I was treated with such care. When the time came, when we ran out of opitions, Dr Page sat with me and she listened to me as I told her about my wonderful TJ. She didn't try to rush off she just listened. This is a wonderful clinic, the staff goes above and beyond. And the doc, well she is at the top of the list of a great vet.

Dr. Page is one of the most caring and compassionate veterinarians I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I would recommend her services to anyone living in the Santa Fe area.

I currently own 4 dogs and 2 cats and have used Loving Care for the last 8 years. Through the years Dr. Page has provided awesome service not only to my animals but to me and my family. She has walked us through many troubling times. My daughter was 7 when her Golden ??Daisy? was diagnosed with heart worms and had to stay at the clinic for several days. Of course being a 7 year old she thought her dog was being taken for good and was very upset. Dr. Page sat and talked to her and explained everything and even suggested that we come up each day to visit her. Earlier this year we had to make one of the hardiest decisions ever, when the same Golden ??Daisy? developed major complications due to cancer, Dr. Page thoroughly explained all of the options available and even gave her opinion as to what she would do if she was her dog. Through the years Dr. Page has treated over 20 animals for my family, including strays, unplanned litters, spays/neuters you name it, she has always provided excellent care and been very helpful and understanding. I would recommend LOVING CARE to anyone that has an animal that feels like they are a part of the family!!!!!!!!!!

This clinic is great. If you are you looking for personalized care (and at a reasonable price) then you should visit Loving Care. Dr. Page and her staff are always caring towards me and my pets. I feel like they care for my pets just as much as I do!
My beloved cat, Winter, had kidney cancer and she helped give him "quality of life" which allowed me to have more time with him. I am very grateful to her for all she did for him.

We have been using this animal clinic for 4 years now since we moved here from Dallas and have nothing but good things to say about the doctor and her staff. Dr. Paige took care of our 15 year old schnauzer and was very compassionate when we had to make the difficult decision to put her down. A little over a year ago we found a french bulldog that was almost dead from heartworms, flea infestation, and starvation. Dr. Paige, and her staff, saved this dog's life. We eventually got another schnauzer puppy so we have 2 dogs now. We have boarded them at the clinic while we were on vacation and they both love going to see everyone there. It's obvious that the doctor and the staff love our dogs. We referred my husband's sister and her husband to Loving Care. They too are very pleased with the clinic. Dr. Paige diagnosed their dachshund with pancreatitis and saved her life as well. I have referred several people to this clinic and will continue to recommend Loving Care to others.

Dr. Page and her staff have always been there for our pet family as well as helping us through some of the most difficult decisions we have had to make in the last 3 years. This past spring I had 2 senior dogs fighting cancer at the same time - Dr. Page did everything possible to help us give them a comfortable, quality life as long was possible, and Dr. Page and her staff were there twice within 7 days to help each one of them cross over when there was nothing else any of us could do for them. I was even allowed to stay with my girls as long as I needed to say my goodbyes. One of her staff walked me to my car and sat in the parking lot with me while I told her what had happened (since she was off the previous Friday) and while I cried, she even gave me a big hug. 1 1/2 yrs ago I came home at lunch to find my cat extremely ill - I called and let them know I was on my way and that I thought he was dying - Dr. Page came back to the office and examined him and kept him the rest of the day trying to nurse him back - unfortunately he didn't respond well to us trying to feed him and give him fluids - she waited until I could get there and hold him while he crossed over - even though it was after 5 - she and her staff all cried with me. Dr. Page and her staff are very compassionate and caring. She has always been willing to answer any questions that we have had. If I have a question after I leave her staff calls me back with an answer - once Dr. Page is finished with her other patient(s). Her prices are very reasonable - I have used another vet years ago, and they definitely were much higher. Her office is open 6 days a week, she rarely takes a day off - I honestly don't know how she does it. But I sure am glad she does!

I have always been able to make appointments at the last minute to get my pets seen by Dr. Paige. My dog overnight got very sick and I called and made an appointment that morning to take her in. When I got there they saw her immediately and did the blood work and got the results back right away. Dr. Paige explained the results to me and what they could do. I was so upset I thougt I was going to lose her. She suggested that if I wanted I could take her to the speciality clinic to get better blood work processed. We took her there and received the blood work back and it was the same results we received from Dr. Paige. They wanted to keep her for a few days and I could not bear to be without her. I called and Dr. Paige said she could do the IV's at her office each day, I could drop her off in the mornings and pick her up in the evenings. We chose this route. With in 3 days she was so much better and looks like a health dog. You would never know how sick she really was and still has the high liver count. She will be on medicine for the rest of her life, but i feel like they saved her life. I later found out that one of the nurses would carry her and the IV around during the day because she looked so sad in the cage sicne she had never been caged before. That me feel like they really cared about my baby. I will continue to take my pets to her and her staff. They know us and treat us well wen I go back to get medicines and for the visits.

Dr Page is a very experienced, capable and friendly veterinarian who provides excellent animal health care at low, affordable rates. She maintains a new clean facility and friendly caring staff. Although no one can please everyone, she and her staff do her very best. When I had to put my dog down after 12 years, she took the time to meet me late on Christmas Eve to provide some injections and meds to prolong her decent quality of life so I didn't have to lose her on Christmas Eve or Day. I would highly recommend her for routine or difficult pet care. After 10 years of E.R. experience and a degree from Texas A&M, she is well qualified to keep your pet in the best health possible.

The first time I went to see Dr Page I was nervous. I had just adopted a kitten from an animal shelter and knew something was wrong, as she was losing all of her hair. I took her in and the clinic was very clean and welcoming. Dr Page examined Ballerina and knew exactly what it was. She took the extra step to confirm the diagnosis with a simple test. The fees were very reasonable and her problem was cleared up in no time. Dr Page took extra time speaking with me regarding my concerns. We ended up having to give the cat away as we found out my daughter is allergic but now have a rabbit. Dr Page typically does not see "exotics" but because I had a history with the clinic she was willing to examine Baby Bunny. We thought she had broken her hind leg and I was ready to put her down until Dr Page assured me her leg was not broken with an xray. Even that was a reasonable cost, even cheaper than the other 2 clinics I had called. I have since taken her back again for a bad urinary tract infection and she treated Baby Bunny great, even giving her a soothing bath. I would recommend her to anyone. Always been very kind and takes the time to answer any questions I have.

I love Dr. Paige. My dog(s) aren't scared of her so that is a BIG plus for me. Dr. Paige has always shown great respect toward me and my (pet) family. She is a very warm person and it shows with her professional manerisms. She is busy but always gives enough appointment time to answer questions or clarify issues I was confused after online searching. Nothing is free and her care costs are competitive after talking to other pet owners. I would reccomend Dr Paige to anyone and I still go back for my examinations and pet illnesses. Mind you most people only post negative experiences. so take negative posts with a grain of salt.

I found Dr. Paige several years ago. She not only saved my dog's life once but twice. Her dedication to solving a problem gave my 8 yr old dog another 8 years of life. She is straight forward and some may be taken back by that, but she does what is best for the animal. She does understand value of a pet but she also realizes that sometimes the financial cost may be overwhelming..

I read the bad reviews but decided to go anyway because some people can't be pleased and it was close to home. I should've listened to the complaints! The good reviews must be from Dr. Page herself or staff members. This woman has zero personality or listening skills. She's abrupt, abrasive, dismissive and outright rude....for the precious few minutes you'll actually see her. Don't dare question her or try to understand what she is doing! Just bow down and bend over! If you question her, she's defensive and argumentative. I left with my dog still very ill and went to another vet 2 days later when my dog's condition worsened after being treated by Dr. Page and the new vet solved the problem THAT DAY (for less money I might add) and explained how simple the diagnosis and treatment was and she was shocked by Dr. Page's treatment. The new vet wanted Dr. Page's records so when I called the office to get them from the girl who answered the phone and told why I needed them, I got a call back in less than from 5 minutes from Dr. Page wanting to argue her case about her wrong diagnosis and lack of care! I will never take another animal to her and wouldn't recommend this vet to anyone who loves their pet. It was the worst experience I have ever had, ever!

This Dr. Page doesn't know how to interact with HUMANS! We are the owners of these fine animals who incidentally are the ppl who pay you! My wife took our new puppy in to have his boosters given. She was rudely dismissed when she asked a few questions about this. most facilities only do 3sets of shots and Dr. Page kept saying they do 4sets. My wife only wanted to know what is the reason that she feels the animals need that 4th set, especially when our puppy had already received his 1st set of puppy shots from the breeder only 4wks prior. The vet had very little patience in explaining this and did so out in the lobby without any regard to her concerns. Excuse my wife for caring too much about her new puppy and wanting to make sure that a total of 5sets of puppy boosters wouldn't harm him.

Business Response:

Puppies receive vaccinations every 2-4 weeks until they are a full 4 months old. So, depending on how old the puppy is at its first exam, it will get 3-4 sets of shots. I offered your wife our puppy package which is very reasonably priced, but also told her that I would absolutely do any vaccines that she wanted, it was her choice.
.

This was the worst place I have ever been too! I read the other bad comments, but decided to give the vet a chance. I was never given any discharge papers on what to expect after my pets surgery. I was handed a bottle of pain meds with a label on it saying .05 4x/day. Not explaining for how long or if I should finish the product. No oral directions on how long to use shredded paper for declawed cat or what to expect in the coming days. Never saw vet before or after surgery. NO PERSONAL CONTACT! I whole hearted believe that Dr. Page does love and care for the animals she's caring for with all her being. BUT...to most of us pet owners our pets are our family. And just as if we were taking our child to the Dr. we expect a face to face with the physician, not just to take our kid to the back and then bring them back saying, "I don't what your concern is?" No kidding... maybe if I was invited to the back or actually spoke to you or was asked a question by your staff of what is wrong with her...you would know what my concerns were. I was also given a very quick explanation of their booster shot procedures...and when I, God forbid... asked a question to better understand the conversation became annoying to the vet. Who quickly brushed it off and walked away saying she had to get to some other things. Nice. She will, I have no doubt have something to comment towards this post as she did to most of her other negative feedback. In addition I was told by the vet that her fees are VERY reasonable and I should do the vet recommended procedure for boosters. Animal Alliance is even more reasonable ESPECIALLY when it comes to SPAY/NEUTER less than half her price! Plus there prices are listed on their website! www.animalalliancetx.org 409-933-1600 Wed-Sat 7am-5:30pm

If this lady really did care as much as this guy said she did, then she would still have customers. She refuses to even answer questions.

Ugh.... I have never been kindly hung up on before, but Dr. Page was able to. I asked her a few simple questions about FVRCP when the girls in the front were saying the only thing their kitten boosters covered was distemper. Every other vets office has their receptionist know that it's not just distemper, it's the calicivirus and the upper respiratory infection cause by feline herpes as well. So she let me know that yes it's the FVRCP then I went to explain how I'm trying to find a new vet because we had lost a kitten because of the lack of care from our last vet. She had explained what she would have done in the situation, like offer over night care, blah blah etc. As I'm still talking she says "Thanks for choosing us to call. Ok, bye" ... My jaw dropped. I mean... SERIOUSLY?! Not only are the girls in the front not very knowledgable, but the vet doesn't let me finish talking and hangs up. I understand she is busy, but rather than HER decide that the conversation is over, she could at least have sent me back over to the girls in the front. So much for having me as a new customer. My 3 cats and I will NOT be visiting them. If she doesn't have time to reassure me on a phone call, why would I waste MY time and money to have her give me the same crap in office. Loving Care Animal Hospital? More like Who Gives a Care....

I personally spoke on the phone with you for over 15 minutes about our kitten shots. I asked you if I had answered all of your questions, you said yes, and I said "Thank You for calling our practice"

I couldn't believe someone gave Dr. Page a bad review!! We took both of our dogs to her and she was always so sweet and caring. Our dogs loved her. Unfortunately, we've moved and have had to find another vet. Finding another vet who is as caring and loving as her will be difficult! Thanks Dr.Page for taking care of my furry friends!

I replied "actually no, I had a bad experience in your office today." Her response, "Ok.Bye." and she rudely hung up. This from a woman that I have never met. In my opinion, this is a very selfish and self-centered woman who doesn't care if you or your pet have a good experience or not. I should have listened to my neighbor.

Dr. Page is wonderful. She really cares about her patients (both human and animal). Her staff is made up of very caring girls and her husband assists her with surgery and everyday care. It is a family business with care and kindness as the 1st orders of business. Her price is the same as any vet in the area and her care is extraordinary.

PROS: Open past 5pm on the weekday and also on Saturdays.
CONS:
