B & B shut down on Aug. 28, but I must answer the parent who posted the Mar. review. There was never a smell of urine any where around the place unless you happened to be there when the city/plumber were working on the sewer/water lines.
The dirty diapers never even got to the floor - they were put into individual plastic bags & placed outside the room for pick-up & discarding into a trash can in an area where there were no children. Every room was cleaned each night (mats in the infant room & everything else) & all trash removed from each room every night!
All toys were cleaned each night, so groups of toys were "rotated". Perhaps you were there after the toys were picked up for cleaning that day.
None of the changing tables were "rickety" and all were cleaned after each diaper change.
If you look into a room from down the hall, you may not be able to see an adult- this is a building which was a residence so you cannot see all around an area standing in one place. But rest assured there were always enough teachers in the room. A teacher couldn't even go to the restroom without another covering her room.
I agree that every effort should be made to speak English when you come here from another country, BUT the one lady who speaks little English LOVES those babies more & is more PATIENT with them than anyone else you'll ever HOPE to watch your kids - and she understands lots of English & manages to communicate what she needs to even when there is no Spanish-speaking person around, which was seldom.
I'm sorry your children never got to experience the wonderful care they would have gotten at B & B, but it sounds like their parent would fit right in at the "snooty" place! Perhaps you should stay home and watch them yourself!!

While my child never attended this daycare, I can tell you that as a parent, I was pretty shocked at the conditions that I encountered when I visited. If you can get past the smell of urine that assaults you 15 feet from the front door, then you might be surprised to see dirty rooms and at least one teacher who spoke no english! I peeked down a hall to see kids climbing all over furniture with no adult in sight. The infant room had ZERO toys on the floor-the two kids old enough to play were just rolling around on a dirty mat in a room without the lights on. They had stationary walkers, which I know many daycares do still have, but when my pediatrician tells me that those inhibit motor development, I'm sure not going to use them! When I went in to the room originally, the teacher in the room scrambled to scoop up the dirty diapers from the floor that went into a plastic drawer into the same container as the clean ones! Then, they made great efforts to show me the rickety changing table across the room "where everyone gets changed"..yeah? Then why was a dirty diaper on the floor across the room? In their defense, the teacher in the room seemed very nice, but wow-I would never, ever take my child here. Maybe they quoted me a higher price, but I was shocked to find out that they were only about $50 a week cheaper than the snooty place up the road.
