Out of Business

Pros: Out of Business

Cons: Out of Business

.

This bookstore was once independently owned and I tried to support it when I could, but their prices were high. If I was looking for something that I new I would be paying retail price for, I tried to look here before Barnes and Nobles. However, I could not justify paying retail for fiction novels, when I could get them at Half Priced Books or even Goodwill for a much reduced price.

They have a good selection of the newest titles. Unfortunately, you cannot doing any online ordering which is easiest for me. Now I believe that even though they still have the Bookstop name, they are owned by Barnes and Nobles. Now there really is no real reason to shop there over B&N...and at B&N I can read while I drink my latte.

I don't blame Book stop for the high prices on novels. I guess I can blame the economy. After being in half price books, no other store can compare. The only advantage Bookstop has over Half-Price books is having the newest novels at a discount, too which is a definite plus. The environment is nice and more organized than Half Price. I wonder if they're going to add a Starbucks to compete with Barnes.

Not as corporate as Barnes and Nobles, but you still won't find anything too obscure or counterculture. This is a great place to find national magazines and bestsellers.

PROS: You know you'll find bestsellers and popular items.
CONS: Not very much character
