Threadgills Restaurant

We love Threadgills for some Austin-flavored dining! Several times we have had the Sunday buffet, which is just filled with all the breakfast choices you could ask for. They even have a short order omlette and belgium waffle part of the line. Threadgills is clean and there is often some live music in one area. If ordering off the menu, make sure to try the San Antonio squash casserole, it is sooo good! The service is ok, not super attentive but decent. The prices are a little high but overall, I recommend Threadgills, especially for out of town-ers who want to see what it's all about.

I went to this restaurant last night. The food was great, but the staff left little to be desired. We ate there about 7:30 pm. The restaurant wasn't busy, but the hostess seemed annoyed to see us. We were evacuees from hurricane Rita, and when we told our waiter, he seemed bored and asked us what we wanted to order without batting an eye. He messed up my order and then told me that I had ordered something that I didn't! The food was excellent, though.
