I give it a ZERO rating!
I got harassed by a woman while I was snapping a few pictures of the peacocks at the range. I was told that the property owners do not mind people photographing these birds that run free on the range. But today a woman who appeared to be a girlfriend of one of the store clerks told me to stay away from HER (?) property and HER (?) house. My husband often comes here and spends quite a bit of money. He bought $400 worth of merchandize today. But, since we are not welcome there any more, it was our LAST visit to the Baileys House of Guns.

This place seemed ok, but when they told me I had to load my bullets one at a time, (because they are worried about rapid fire and the beltway being close by) I said no thanks that's ridiculous. \r
Next time I will drive further to George

The worst range in the area. I have tried to get resolution to bad gunsmithing/customer service for two years and was banned for yet again trying to get a resolution. People should not pay to be treated like crap to shoot at a run down

I can't believe that anyone would write a bad review about baily's. I have been using them for about 10 years now and have never ben treated bad or received bad service. If you don't want to be treated with disrespect than you should

One word?REINVEST. From the landfill they call a shooting range to the shanty-shack cluttered with filth and opened merchandise re-hung but not re-packaged?or re-priced appropriately. From the disinterested chubby kid that acts like a spoiled grandchild behind the counter to the disinterested Hispanic male who thinks staying on the phone is more important than helping customers standing in front of him?REINVEST. The first thing you see when you walk into Bailey??s House of Guns is a bunch of trophy animals. Now typically this would excite a hunter but these are filthy and stacked in a corner with no rhyme or reason and it is depressing to think their fate was to end up here. No appreciation. This is indicative of the company itself. I went in to sight a few rifles recently and here was my experience:
I went to their dirty and disorganized shop and walked up to the counter where a nice black man was helping a customer. The old woman was making a gun sale and the chubby kid was walking around doing nothing. The black man assisted me in every way once he was finished with his customer. He was very nice. You could tell that the entire shop laid the burden of customer service on him. He did his best and it was fine. He set me up for the range and I went out the door thinking that the chubby kid should pick up a broom.
The Range Master was very nice. His range, on the other hand, was ridiculous. You do not set your target up. It is already set up and waiting. We were not allowed to go get our targets when we were done because there is never a shooting break. What kind of nonsense is that? The owner has trashy wooden tables with trashy stools and NOT A GUN RACK IN SIGHT. I had to find places to lay my extra rifles down. Thankfully (but not surprisingly) the rest of the range was empty so I laid my rifles on the surrounding lane tables. They have these crappy canvas bags that you are supposed to use but they have no sand in them. If you are lucky, you might find one with a little sand left. Completely unprofessional. So I make due.
I needed one of my rifles bore sighted so I went back inside the shop. Although there were no additional customers, I still had to wait until the nice black man emerged from the back of the store before I was helped. Chubby kid was just sitting around (still no broom). He directed the chubby kid to bore sight my rifle. Chubby grumbled, put a pissed off look on his face, proceeded to grab my rifle and stomped off to the back. He emerged about 45 seconds later. ??You get 1 shot. If it??s not on paper, bring it back inside. ONE SHOT.? OK. One shot. Got it. Well, not surprisingly, it wasn??t on paper. I brought it back inside, waited for another 5 minutes while the black man assigned the bore sight to a Hispanic male who was chatting on the phone. I stood in front of him with my rifle for at least 10 minutes until I finally went back to the black man and asked if HE would bore sight it. He immediately went over to the Hispanic male and motioned for him to wrap it up and bore sight my gun. He did. I took my rifle back outside and it was on paper finally.
I will NEVER return to Bailey??s House of Guns. There are PLENTY of gun ranges who care about helping customers and show it by keeping their stores updated, their ranges in working order and their staff in check. If you do go to this outdated hole in the wall, keep your expectations well below average and don??t let the chubby kid bore sight your gun. That boy don??t know what he??s doing and doesn??t care to learn.

Family run and operated. They are there to please you in they're way which may not be you're way. They know their stuff and will accommodate you if asked but will not tolerate compromising safety on the range. They have several ranges, a gun and ammo store and reloading supplies. If you're a gun nut it's a place for time well spent. It's also a good place to take young ones just starting out. Mr. Bailey's house is next door with peacocks and all form of critters hanging around. Beats the heck out of going to the big commercial ranges and being waylaid by the assault rifle crowed doing their bang bang bang..........

I took my youngest Son to Baileys to fire his first rifle this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the day. I found the staff to be pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. When they found out that this was my Sons first rifle and first time at a range they made a point of welcoming him and made a fuss over him welcoming him and telling him to have a good time and have fun. For $9.00 a gun and 50 cents for a targets for all day, cant beat it. \r\nHats off to Baileys for a great first experience for a young first time shooter ! The first thing out of the boys mouth as we were driving out, When can we come again Dad? Great time, good people recommend Baileys, to anyone for a nice safe place to enjoy a day!\r\n

I've been shooting at Bailey's for several years, both on the rifle range and the pistol range. I also took the CHL course there. I've found the staff to be consistently helpful and reasonably courteous, including the range officers. When they had to use direct language to some of the customers, it was generally safety related. If you don't know the rules of the range, try to read them when you show up and ask questions. Might help you keep from having your feelings stepped on and keep you from writing a review about how rude you've been treated. Bailey's is an old-fashioned gun &ammo store, with decent ranges. It will never be confused with Carter's Country or Bass Pro Shop.

I enjoy shooting there and haven't been treated rudely. My only complaint is when I left a gun there to be chamber casted. I took several weeks to get it back. Gun barrel had bluing damaged, but at least they stamped the barrel and no xtra charge. But, I didn't appreciated paying an extra 26 - 30 dollars so they could take one bullet from a new box of ammo to test fire my weapon. I had plenty of ammo and I could have given them a bullet. A tad bit shady.

By far one of the worst gun ranges I have ever been to. The staff is very unfriendly and rude with very bad attitudes. The owner Ms. Bailey was very rude and disrespectful to myself . I amazed that Bailey's House of Guns is still in business and has customers.I went in to the store to look at the guns they had for sale,I asked to look at one and the guy grab the gun and keep it in his hand showing it to me i asked if i could hold it to see if i like it he said ""NO""I told the guy I was a Marine and he said ""SO what, that don't mean sh*t you don't know any thing about guns."" EVERY DISRESPECTFUL PLACE I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone.do not shoot here. I recommend Marksmen s off hwy 3 in south Houston.

If you live in Missouri City or surrounding areas, and you are an outdoor person who loves to shoot guns, you are in luck because the low prices here will make you want to come back and spend most of your time if you are neither in school nor at work. \r\n\r\nI've been to this place three times with different guns and people, and they have always treated us with respect. It cost about $10 for handguns and $12 for semi auto rifles. They also have sniper ranges and shot gun ranges. 75 cents for ear plugs so you don't go deaf. Just because you ran out of ammo doesn;t mean its time for you to go; just walk indoor and purchase more ammo. \r\n\r\nOnly thing is that you can only load one bullet into your assault rifle magazine at a time and shoot one round every 5 seconds from your pistol/revolver.\r\n\r\nOverall, I am definitly looking forward to going back there as soon as possible.

I feel safe when I shoot at bailey's. If you aren't into safety then go somewhere else. Mrs. Bailey is a very sweet lady that cares about her business. She is very helpful, but will get onto you if you break the rules. Remember you are at a SHOOTING range where carelessness could get someone hurt. The people that work there are good folks. Just because they don't high five you when you go there doesn't mean that they are rude. I am sure their safety consciousness is why "they have been in business so long." Keep up the good work.

I have been a customer of Bailey's now for 40 years and have bought over 100+ guns from them over the years. The service has all was been very good. I had two problems with new guns over the years and Baileys took care of the problem promptly. A good family owned business that I recomend to my freinds.

Have shot at Baileys dozens of times, its a very small and laid back shooting range, its also a family owned business with employees that have abrasive personalitys but if you follow the rules and treat everyone with respect you will enjoy the place, the people that are new to shooting and do dangerous things with their firearms tend not to like the place, if you want to go to place to show off your new AR15 or glock please go to some other public range that is more lenient to people breaking simple and universal range rules, I enjoy going there even though parking can be bad, I have to admit I never heard anything good about their gunsmiths, I had a problem with a new semi auto shot gun I bought and they looked at it and could not figure it out

I see the couple of negative reviews and don't understand them. On my first visit, I had to wait awhile for the other customers as the recent events in the Pearland area has caused a large demand. I had called ahead for the pistol model that I was looking for (Glock 17) and them immediately reported their stock. When I came in to buy, Mr. Bailey took care of me and helped me select accessories. The pricing is pretty much in line with the other gun sellers.\r\n\r\nAs far as the firing range, the range master keeps good control, explaining the range rules and enforcing them as needed. \r\n\r\nI heartily recommend this gun seller.\r\n

Never take your gun here to be fixed! I left my shotgun there to be fixed and it sat for 6 month's. I called several times to check on it b/c i had not heard back and everytime i called i got the same answer. ""They are working on it"". I eventually went to pick it up and it had been sitting there the whole time, never fixed! They made me pay for a cleaning which was obvious had not been done! Worst customer service.

The Baileys are serious about their business. The Baileys are serious about safety. The Baileys are serious about making sure that their customers are satisfied with their purchases. If they seem a bit rough around the edges at times, keep in mind that being this serious about such serious matters can be easily mistaken as rudness. This is a tough business in tough times and I enjoy the fact that I can go into Baileys House of Guns, buy a gun or reloading supplies and know that I did business at the right place. They will take care of you. By the way, if you really take the time to get to know these folks, you won't find any better friends in the business.

Been there 5 times now (in a month) and have always walked away happy. Their range fees are the cheapest around, most of the staff are very polite and informative, and safety is rule #1 out there. I plan on making more trips out there in the future.

Rude, unprofessional, and egotistical staff. What kind of gun range has animals roving around it? A horse pasture would have been a better experience.
