I went with a friend to this location for her to try on gowns. They told her she could look but would have to make an appointment for a future date. There was one other bride in the store at the time. They could have helped her but told her no. So she went elsewhere. But I made an appointment. The girl assigned to me (I don't remember her name) was not helpful. The first thing she asked was my budget, not the style I'm interested in or about my taste. If a bride finds something she loves, she may break her budget and go with the dress of her dreams. Budget should not the first thing out of your mouth to a potential customer. It makes you feel like a dollar sign. After I told her my budget, a bit under the prices of the Platinum collection, she steered me away from gowns I told her I wanted to try on. She gave me a look like "Um, no. You're not trying that on." This was unprofessional. You shouldn't tell someone which products of yours they can't look at.If she wanted to help me find a dress she should have let me try on ones I wanted and then helped me find other gowns in my price range. I had researched all five lines and picked out a selection I wanted to try. I put them in a wedding book I made with information pertaining to every detail of my wedding. I told the consultant this information and said she could look through it. She disregarded this. She was quiet while we were in the room trying on gowns(which is likely why I don't remember her name). At other boutiques, the ladies were talkative to get to know me and my style and to make the atmosphere pleasant. This consultant didn't even try. From the few comments she made, I tried to kick-start a conversation. But it didn't go very far.I left disappointed with the service. However, their accessories are gorgeous. And they do have beautiful gowns, but not as much as I would have thought for a high-end boutique.I went to Stardust Celebrations in Plano later that day and found they had triple the selection (if not more), MANY more beautiful gowns, a wider range of prices (anywhere from about $3000-$15,000), extensive selection of bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride gowns, accessories, and many other essentials. The service was impeccable. Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful, especially my consultant MaryAnn. They took my wedding book and everyone in the store came and flipped through it page by page, not just the gown section but the ENTIRE book. They made an effort to understand me as a person and what I was looking for. Then they let me go through every dress in the store and pick anything I wanted.I picked out a dress worth $15,000 and they were HAPPY to let me try it on, even though it was out of my budget. They even had me play it up more by picking out a fun veil and everything to go with it. They did all this even though they knew I only wanted to try it on for fun. They understand the most important thing is to keep the bride happy. After trying on several gowns and finding a silhouette that flattered my body, the consultant picked out several more for me to try on because she knew they would look great, one thing a good consultant is supposed to do.She was never pushy and let me give my opinion and tell her no if I didn't like something or bring more if I loved something. Throughout the whole appointment she never asked me my budget. They knew from things I said what my budget was and that I obviously wasn't going to buy a $15,000 dress. But they never steered me toward cheaper gowns, nor did they try to convince me to spend more. She let me ask questions and developed a connection with me.In the end, I found my dress at Stardust Celebrations. How could you not with the extensive selection and wonderful staff? I actually ended up doubling my budget (ending well within the range of the Platinum collection at Priscilla...). That's what can happen if you're accommodating and you let the bride choose what she wants.

The service here is spectacular. Even if you don't have an appointment, they will do their best to make you feel like the only bride in the shop - and in Dallas! The dresses are high quality and beautiful. Your salesperson will discuss your interests and bring you dresses she thinks might work. Because it is limited to Priscilla of Boston dresses, you won't find a huge selection or low prices. However, you will find beautiful, high quality gowns and attentive service. If you are looking for a bargain, they do sell some samples. I actually ended up with a Priscilla of Boston dress sample bought elsewhere that I had customize to meet my needs. I can vouch for the quality of the dress and for the many, many compliments I received.

PROS: Excellent service, beautiful gowns
CONS: Limited selection, higher prices than many other shops
