Ratings_icons A Wonderful Place to Fall in Love with Learning

Amy M.

My son is in his third year at Primavera and we feel truly blessed to have found such an incredible place for him to have begun his life-long love of learning. I was skeptical of the whole Montessori method before finding Primavera. I had toured several pre-schools in the Austin area including two that were hard-core Montessori. Although I loved the passion, I was concerned with the strictness of their methods. When I toured Primavera I immediately felt that I had found the perfect balance. The deep passion that these people have towards children is rare and amazing. They not only have frequent continuing education workshops for the teachers but also for the parents. (I just wish I could bring my friends and relatives with me to the classes.) And the laid-back atmosphere is just right for our family. The focus on outdoor play and movement in combination with the fabulous outdoor spaces that they provide is wonderful. I can't say enough wonderful things about Primavera and I would recommend it to anyone.

I would also like to specifically address the "difficult child" review at the bottom. I know several parents at Primavera who have children that require special care and the parents have all expressed to me how happy they have been with how the staff has handled their situation. I know one parent in particular who told me that no other school would have put up with what Primavera has put up with from her child.

I love Primavera- it has provided my children (ages 2-7) with the best start on their life-long journey of learning that I could ever imagine. They receive such support for their emotional growth, while at the same they are growing intellectually through inspiring learning opportunities. This is our fourth year at the school, and my respect for the teachers and administrators grows each year. I feel so blessed to have found this learning home for my children.

Ratings_icons A warm and caring community

My daughter's in her second year at Primavera, and I honestly have nothing negative to say about the school. The teachers are so active, engaged, and warm. There's a strong emphasis on outdoor play, including a full-time (and much beloved) physical education teacher. The classroom environment is just lovely--art on the walls, beautiful materials to work with, and each classroom has its own outdoor classroom as well. The morning drop-off on the playground is a fun and festive time--all the parents chatting over cups of coffee, the teachers checking in with both the children and their parents, and much joyful play. Primavera is a wonderful school, but even more so, it's a wonderful community to be a part of.

We feel incredibly grateful to have found this school for our son. The teachers are so *present* with the kids, and great at working towards peaceful resolutions if there is any conflict. I truly feel like they love my child and are co-parenting with us. The peace curriculum of the school is so lovely, and my son loves being there. We also plan to send our toddler there when the time comes.

Ratings_icons Awesome School, My Children Love It

I. G.

Primavera has been a wonderful school for our family. The excellent staff at Primavera has cared for and taught them to love learning. They have been mentally challenged by the creative Montessori presentation of their daily work. Physically, they have been well cared for with a wonderful program that challenges their bodies. Their hearts have been softened with the philosophy of Primavera that honors each child and teaches at many levels of ability. The people that I have known at Primavera from the families to the staff are some of the best I know. The best way to judge the school is to visit. You will be irresistibly drawn in.

Ratings_icons Caring Staff and a Serene Environment

Although this childcare center is not for every child, its clean and orderly environment will appeal to most parents who find themselves overwhelmed by the corporate and frenzied feel of so many of the other centers. The staff here is caring and knowledgeable. The important thing here is to make sure that your child's temperment is a good match for the school. Excitable or children with special needs will not be a good fit.
