This teacher store has everything you may need for your classroom. I've been pleasantly surprised that they also have bilingual resources which are hard to find.

When I first walked into this store, my jaw dropped. Any kind of teaching materials you can think of are there, at your fingertips. They had things I didn't even know I needed or existed. There is even another area to shop upstairs, so it is actually two stories. The staff was friendly and helped me find everything I needed. They even gave me a punch card to get a discount the next time I shopped with them. I would definitely say that every teacher needs to visit this store at least once.

Pros: Everything you need is right there at your fingertips.
Cons: Everything is a little pricy compared to similar places.

I went in to find some materials and creative ways to ease the transition of moving across the country for my 3 year old daughter. I wanted to buy a dry erase map of the United States my daughter could draw on so we could talk about the different locations of our current house and the house we are moving to (which they were out of). I also wanted to have a calendar we could write on and mark off days until our move (which they had, and I purchased). I pretty much knew what I was looking for, but thought to ask the staff if they happened to have anything regarding moving and the response I got was shocking. It wasn??t exactly the information she gave me, it was the manner in which she delivered it. She was rude and condescending. She told me flat out, ??NO. The bookstores, like Barns and Nobles, have books on that kind of thing.? She had the most irritated expression on her face as if I was an idiot for even asking such a question. I told her I knew the book stores had literature and we had already bought several books and also rented several from the library. I just figured it wouldn??t hurt to ask because maybe they had an activity book or something interactive addressing the issue of moving from one place to another for children. I could not believe how rude the clerk was. Needless to say, I will NEVER shop there again. And since I??m moving, fortunately I won??t have to!
I am not the kind of person who typically rants and raves, however, in this situation I felt compelled to share my experience.

I am a teacher for first grade and I never could find the right teacher store till A Teachers Aid. A Teachers Aid is the cutest store, and even though its little dosen't mean they don't have almost everything imaginable for teachers! There are things there that I didn't even think they made anymore. They have everything from workbooks, educational cds, and posters, to decorations, techers guids, and etc. The staff is wonderful they know where everything is and are very happy to help! I don't know about other teacher stores but when I come to A Teachers aid I find exactly what I came for, plus alot more!

PROS: Have everything!
CONS: there closed on Sundays in the summer

The new management of A Teacher's Aide has made wonderful upgrades in materials and the layout of the store. They have made samples of materials that will give teachers an idea what can be done with the materials/items available in the store. The service was eager, courteous, and helpful when looking for items. If they do not have an item in the store they can order for you. This is also a great place for parents to find materials to help their child's learning.
