Locally owned family operation and they take pride in it - they even have an office cat!

I walked on the lot, Dale met me in the parking lot, I told him my only requirements were manual transmission and cold a/c. He showed me a Ford F-150 and a Nissan Altima. Didn't want the mileage of the F-150, so I tried out the Altima. The Altima was also right in my price range.

The Altima has a few issues - but in my price range, I expected some. The only irritating one was the drivers side power window wouldn't roll up, but a new factory looking switch from Autozone fixed that. Interior like new, low mileage for its age (1999, 133k miles), and it runs like a bat out of hell. Also needed a new antenna and has a small oil leak, but the KA24DE engine is known for front main seal leaks (which is where it's leaking). I admit, I drove it really hard on the test drive since I was alone, I wanted to make sure it was reliable.

Got back to their place, outlined what issues I discovered, and Dale immediately dropped $1000 off of his asking price, which put it squarely in line with KBB's private party "fair" price. I'm pretty sure I could have negotiated a few hundred lower if I wanted to play hardball, but I feel like I got a fair deal, I'm sure he made a decent profit (as he should), and it was probably the easiest and fastest car deal I've ever had. He also let me park my rental car behind his shop until I could get a ride out the next day to pick it up.

What I really appreciate - while they did clean up the interior, they didn't try to hide anything under the hood. In other words, under the hood was "honest" - I was able to see leaks, wear, etc. With a car this old you're going to have minor leaks, and I was able to see them instead of being surprised later.

Yeah, the car does need a little work, but I got the cheapest car on the lot, they came way down on the price, and the car runs and drives fantastic. I was in and out in about 20 minutes - including the test drive and calling my insurance agent to get insurance on it.

Dale and Keith are great to deal with, I would gladly deal with them again. The only downside is Keith called me the next morning and said Dale forgot to give me a paper temporary plate for it - I had to go back to get my rental car anyway though.

I do need to ask them what service they did, if any, on the car before selling it. I noticed it had new plug wires, and I took it for an oil change the day after buying it and the oil coming out looked brand new.

I visited this Business when I was looking for a car for my daughter, they had a car I was interested in and allowed me to take and have it check out with an independed mechanic -- however, when it came time to negociate a price he was not willing to budge knowing the car has problems.
