Yesterday I was supposed to receive a very important package from Lone Star Overnight by 7pm. When today came and it had still not arrived I called the customer service line. The woman on the phone informed me that the driver did not deliver it because there was a pad lock on my front door and he did not even attempt to knock on the door to ring the doorbell. What is actually on my door is a lockbox holding a key so my realtor can get in and show my house. My phone number is on the shipping label however I was not contacted to ask about the "pad lock" my package was just not delivered. The woman from customer service said they could deliver it by 6pm this evening which was too late since I needed the package by 2pm today. No apologies, she just kept saying "Well since there was a pad lock the driver assumed you had moved." If you have drivers of an overnight company that first of all cannot identify a common item such as a lockbox for realtors, and second make assumptions with no attempt to verify them, why are you still in business?

I ended up having to drive to North Austin to pick up my package (I live an hour away in San Marcos). When I got there the woman handed me my package again no apologies. I will never use this service again.

I had a recent Lone Star Overnight delivery at my home. What upset me is not that he left the envelope at door, but the envelope was fully wet when I picked it up. It was raining and the delivery guy had not taken any care to protect it from rain and added to that had placed on a wet surface in front of the door. The envolope containted all important documents. Probably he was scared and ran off before I opened the door. Worst delivery!

I was apalled that someone wasn't being chased by a killer, and that it wasn't the cops at my door. There is no excuse for BEATING on my door in that manner. I was scared to death! This driver wouldn't stop...and I had not heard of lso before...so I didn't answer

This is the absolute WORST customer service that I have encountered in a very long time, enough to get me piping hot mad about it and to Google their name so that I could write a review of them, something I never do for companies. There were errors on nearly every invoice from them, and, when I called to try to get the charge corrected, the customer service people treated me like the bad guy! It literally took me, in total, over an hour's worth of phone calls to the low-level reps, all the way up to the manager, all to get a credit of approx. $10 that I was rightly owed! I wouldn't have wasted my time except for the principle of it all. And then, come to find out months later, they never even credited me for the charge, and sent me a letter saying that my account was going to go to collections in 7 days from the date of the letter unless I paid the remaining 22 dollar charge outstanding on my account. When I called, they had no previous record of any credits that I was issued, and told me that, if I had had a credit, it was my responsibility to call and ask that the credit be applied to that invoice. So, not only do you have to fight tooth and nail to get reiumbursed for an erroneous expense that they made, but THEN you have to call back and ask that the credit actually be applied to your bills! Unbelievable! I told them that I belong to a professional network of people that use their service, in the hundreds strong, and that I would tell them all about my negative experience. The guy I spoke with acted like he could give a flying leap about it. I am DONE with this company. Never again!

Our experience was similiar to others on here. We received a flyer regarding a promotional opportunity and savings to new customers. The experience was dreadful from day 1. We called to open an account and got a pleasant gentleman on the phone who asked what we had previously been paying for shipping and assured me that if I sent in an invoice that he could definitely beat my current pricing. I sent the invoice and didn't hear from anyone for over 2 weeks I called repeatedly to find out the status and was advised my "Account Manager" was out of the office. A female advised me that he was out a lot and began to bad mouth the person I had been working with. She advised she would help me and "take over" my account due to bad service but I needed to write a letter stating that the person I spoke with originally wouldn't return my calls and that I was requesting to work with someone else. I didn't want to do this considering I don't want to get anyone in trouble. I just simply wanted to try to save money. I finally reached my account manager (3 weeks later) and he advised me that his manager told him there was no way I was paying what my invoice showed for shipping (eventhough he had an invoice from FEDEX) in front of him and that I would receive their basic rates. I asked why he had assured me he could beat my current rates and he became upset and said he did the best he could but the manager's decision was final. My company ships over 2500 packages/mth and I was happy with my current service but figured I would try to save some money where I could. I didn't appreciate being called a liar and asked to speak with the mgr who never called me back. A couple months later I started receiving visits at my business by a " Sales Representative" who calls and stops by nonstop even after being advised I would never do business with this company. I have since spoken with several colleagues who have also had bad experiences with this company and several have since closed their accounts due to price switching and not being billed what they were promised. If you do business with this company, make sure you get everything in writing.

Our courier is always late and we have had several important packages lost over the past few months. Also, recent price increases have caused us to look for another carrier. Lone Star wants you to believe they are cheaper than other companies but they aren't. We negotiated better pricing with FEDEX who ships everywhere we do. Our sales rep when we started was wonderful but the rep we have had for the last couple of years leaves a lot to be desired. Our rep is not personable and only communicates with us via email. We prefer the face to face contact that we had previously. When we contacted him about pending rate changes he still insisted they were cheaper than FEDEX even though I had a FEDEX and Lone Star bill in black and white for comparison. Our rep with FEDEX is extremely helpful and was instrumental in some diffiuclt shipments that we needed to make. We have now transferred all of our business to FEDEX and are very pleased with their service. Read the small print before shipping with this company or your package will cost double what their rate sheet shows,

We were one of Lone Star Overnight's first customers. Our service with them has been stellar; we only use UPS when we have shipments going out of the Lone Star service area. I wish they would expand. My courier is always on time with our deliveries and in picking up.

We just started using Lone Star at the beginning of the year. Our experience has been fantastic. Our Account Executive set us up with a regular pick up and good pricing...they have not failed us once! We ship mostly ground, but on occasion need to use priority service and the packages are always there on time; even to remote areas. We have saved a lot of money and our customers love getting their packages sooner. I would recommend Lone Star Overnight...so much better than Fedex, who I was using before.

I started using this company based on a referral from a friend. I called set up my account and was promised everything under the stars so they could get my business. They were cheaper, better customer service, and I was going to have an "Account Manager" if I ever had any issues. My account manager helped me open the account, went over pricing, and sent me supplies. However, when I got my first invoice- I was in for a shock. The fees were a lot higher than what we had discussed. When I called my rep, I was advised there are add on fees in small print at the bottom of their brochure. They also lost several important packages of mine. I called my Account Manager who advised me I would have to call customer service. So this person that was going to offer me all this help only wanted to help if everything was fine and I needed supplies. I along with several other people I know have transferred our business to FEDEX and are very happy. They are about the same price and the customer service is excellent

I had a horrible experience with this company. You definitely get what you pay for. The customer service department was not helpful. They lost our company payroll several times. We finally went back to FEDEX and have had no problems. The difference in price was not that great and for the peace of mind of knowing my packages arrive on time when needed is worth it.

Lone Star Overnight is one of the best delivery services in the area. They treat their customers like gold and your packages make it where they're going on time! The prices are lower than most services instate. The staff is friendly and always willing to help with quotes. It's a great Texas based company.
