This company is awful, Aquarium Environment staff is lazy and rush through their work, the service members know almost nothing about fish and use very harsh chemicals while cleaning. I thought that since the Fish Gallery was the corner of the market on aquarium keeping and sales in the area that they would be the best around for service and was very wrong. The setup of my 125 bowfront was wonderful for about two weeks before the bimonthly "cleanings" started, afterwards fish slowly degraded in health. Hours after one visit all of the fish died, upon return of the service crew who claimed to know nothing of what happened took out the fish switched some of the water and left. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

We contacted Aquarium Environments via Fish Gallery in Houston for servicing our 50 gal freshwater aquarium. While this firm is quite reputable for providing services to the commercial sector they are not to be trusted with residential services.

Initial servicing of my aquarium was spectacular resulting in a water quality and presentation beyond my expectations but that was the "one hit wonder". The following treatments resulted in nothing more than leaving my aquarium environment in more turmoil than if it had not been serviced at all (cloudy water and algae left on the sides of tank not to mention waste matter remaining in the gravel bed clearly showing a lack of attention to detail)- quite a disappointment for the $105 invested per service.

Upon follow-up with AE staff I was informed that someone would be out to inspect the condition of the aquarium and provide the food supply that was built into the service price but not provided at the time of service- over a month and a half later with no attempt at resolution- this seems to have been nothing more than lip service.

I can only assume the level of quality received was due to a job done in haste in order to meet a quota requirement.
It is apparent that I am one customer that AE is willing to lose.

Don't put yourself in this same predicament- get a service that is reputable for residential servicing and has some committment to providing a consistent- high quality service each time.

AE should quite frankly stick with commercial interests (if that works for them) and leave residential to folks who care about the fish they impact and the reputation they leave behind.

I went here with a couple of my roommates because we decided to get some fish for our dormroom. This place has a really great showroom and a great variety of marine life.
