ocean palace looks flashy on the outside, but the food is bland, generic, and way overpriced. you can skip the lavish decor and the fountains and get better food for cheaper elsewhere in chinatown.

Holiday and Weekend Dim Sum
by Misty L.
During the week, Ocean Palace offers dim sum, but it is not as fresh, the menu is not as diverse, nor is the service as good.
On weekends and holidays, however, the dim sum is almost always delicious. The seafood items are especially well done. My husband says the chicken feet are usually quite excellent, although I would not be able to vouch for that!
They can ocassionally have a broken credit card machine and will only accept cash, so make sure you have cash beforehand.
If you are not experienced with dim sum it can be difficult to know what to order. The staff are not particularly helpful in this matter on weekends and holidays, because it is literally packed and they are doing the best they can to get to all the tables in a timely fashion.
Be sure to get to the restaurant early. The later you go, the less number of dishes are available.
PROS: Good service, great prices, wide variety of dishes, and truly authentic
CONS: Parking is a nightmare, sometimes they run out of certain items

A lot of people go here for some diem sum on sunday right after church. Their food is ok but the hot girls there are worth it. Meet and mingle with some of the hottest asian girls. The food is priced alright.

it has a great reputation, and very rightly so. you are usually seated quickly in their huge 2nd floor reserved for dim sum, and the carts come quick. dinner is fairly good as well, but the dim sum experience is much more memorable.
PROS: quick seating, wide variety of dishes
CONS: finding parking on weekends is not fun
