I love this place and you will to. I eat here weekly and I try to get something new each time but I fall back on the combo which is the best deal in town. If they have the tomato soup ditch the salad you wont be dissapointed. I'm trying to

I work near Gino's and frequent this nice Italian bistro often for lunch. The wait staff is personal, friendly and helpful. The food is quick and hot and the pizza is particularly good. Their house dressing is awesome!

Their pizza is THE BEST (Gino's w/ the works) in Texas, I promise! To each his/her own but the entrees I have ordered were quite good including chicken marsala and veal picatta.

Dont sit in the back, that is where the rest room is. Trust me on this. Food was good, cant go wrong with their pizza. But for what they charge, I would expect more. No bar to sit and wait for your table. I'll be back, but nothing there I am craving.

Gino's Pizzeria is an unassuming restaurant in a sleepy strip mall. But don't judge a book by its cover! This is my absolute favorite Italian restaurant of all time. The pasta sauce is to die for! The prices are amazingly reasonable. I don't have a single criticism of this place. It's a family-run operation and you can tell that many of the other diners have been coming here for years. Even after I moved south of the city, I still drove up here for their outstanding pasta dishes. This is Round Rock's best kept secret.

Ginos catered my daughter's wedding at Bella Notte and it was so delicious! Lot's of compliments from the guest. That's what you want to hear after working so hard on a wedding. We have since eaten there and the portions are so huge that I had lunch for two days! Everything is made from scratch and very fresh. So happy to find something close to home.

I ordered the Veal Parmesan which came with a side of spaghetti. It was OK, but certainly not the best I ever had. The total cost of the meal (with tip) including a soft drink and a garlic bread appetizer was $29.00 which I thought was WAY too much. I also think that their prices are way too high for other things as well. They show on the menu that spaghetti is $10.99, but if you want either/both meatballs or sausage it is $2.50 each ?? that would mean that if you got both the total cost would be $15.99 for spaghetti with meatballs and sausage (not including a soft drink) which is ridiculous. The only reason I tried this place again is because Romano??s Macaroni Grill dropped veal from their menu (I sent them an email saying that an Italian restaurant without veal is like going to KFC and them not having ??chicken?)!

After the wait staff screwed-up our order and served me before my wife got the Correct dish she ordered, we found the veal dishes were awful. THE NEXT DAY WE BOTH SUFFERED WITH SICK STOMACHS! I wouldn't feed my dogs there!

Get out of your comfort zone-all the traditional items are great but if you want something excellent try one of the trout dishes or the mussels in zesty marinara or my new favorite the wine, butter and garlic--which even the appetizer size will do for a main course -just add an individual pizza (the best you will ever taste with a crust so light I don't know how it holds up to the toppings but it does!) which you can share if you choose and you are set. Service is very good and the whole experience has so much more charm than that of the italian chains around town.

Service was horrible! We were sat right away however NO ONE came to clean the table, take our order or bring us any water, i had to get up and ask for it, then the waiter threw the bread at us. Another waiter was too personal and sitting down in the table with a family, perhaps she was family but that looks really bad! Too many waiters and not even a decent service and the place wasnt even crowded only three tables on a thursday night! The pizza was terrible also, took forever and tasted like a fridge pizza. Then cause i complaint the waiter kept comming every 5 minutes to ask "if eveyrthing was ok" it gets annoying after 5 times. The only good thing was the fresh baked bread and garlic oil. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS HORRIBLE!

5+ stars for food, 2 stars for frozen deep-fried appetizers. 4 stars, overall. :-) Our meal was stellar! The staff was awesome, and the environment intimate and friendly. However, I'd stay away from the fried appetizers. You can tell that these are bulk frozen cheesesticks and ravioli. A friend's father works as a restaurant supplier, and I'm 90% sure he's got boxes of identical cheesesticks and ravioli in his deep freeze. Everything was great, and I highly recommend it!

Upon arrival, we were greeted with bread and garlic dipping oil. The bread was so-so, but the garlic dipping oil was great. Sadly, this oil was the highlight of my meal.

I ordered the eggplant parmigiana. It was $7.50. Not a bad price, if it had turned out alright.

First I received a salad. It was ok, nothing special. Just some lettuce and onion and tomato. It seemed more of a token effort than anything.

Unfortunately, after a long wait, they brought me chicken parmigiana instead of eggplant. Easy mistake to make, and the mistake was corrected quickly enough.

However, the eggplant I received was extremely limp and to be honest, kind of disgusting. It did not seem like there was any kind of thought put into it's preparation. Instead, it seemed as thought they slopped some overcooked eggplant onto a plate, added some cheese, and added a HUGE heaping of marinara over it. The spaghetti was overcooked as well. And they made up for it's inadequacy with marinara too.

Not the worst dining experience I've ever had, but if I can possibly steer my dining partners away, I won't be returning.

Our dinner at Gino's was a wonderful experience!! We celebrated our wedding rehearsal dinner and were very pleased with the service and food. Very friendly staff and excellent food. The pasta pescatore was a big WOW, if you like seafood. We also had veal marsala, ziti al gino, and the combo pasta!! Everyone kind of shared off each others as everything looked so good and the taste was awesome. This is a great place to hold your rehearsal dinner!! We will definitely be back!!

I just tried Gino's Italian Restaurant and was greeted by such a sweet hostess. She took me to my table and I could smell the yummy bread and garlic in the air. All of the employees were so nice and siad hi as I walked by to my table. We were greeted by our server Marissa who was super attentive and gaev the specials and went on her way to get our wine. They have a great wine list. We started out with Calamari and it was so tender. We had a yummy antipasta. Then from a recommendation from Marissa I had a Veal Chop special which was unbelievable. My husband had Baked Ziti. Then we had a cannoli which tasted like a true sicilian dessert. Can't wait to return. Probably this weekend.

I really loved the baked ziti alla gino, the sauce was delicious as well as the eggplant and chicken! Our waitress, Sara was the best by far, she always made sure we had enough bread and their yummy oil dip. I even got the pleasure of meeting the chef Emanuel. I had such a great time I will never eat at any other Italian restaurant again! It is that good!

If you want authentic then go somewhere else. yes, it's nice and clean inside but the service is slow and the food is bland to below average. It's over-rated, you can get better tasting italian food at macaroni's grill. Remember when you go out to eat it's for good or great tasting meals.

We were so glad to have found Gino's when we moved to Round Rock. My family loves great pizza parlor hand-tossed pizza. We eat at Gino's at least once a week. We would probably eat there more if they were open before 5 and on Sundays. So I guess that would be a con. But my whole family loves their pizza and me and my husband especially love a great italian salad with house dressing. They should bottle that! We have never dined in so I can't comment on that but the restaurant is always clean and service is fast and friendly.

We just visited gino's for the 1st time since their expansion..
all i can say is WOW!! it was great.
i just read the last review posted, and i have to really disagree with him..
I have not had great italian food like Gino's has in such a long time.
My family moved to roundrock last year, and we found gino's then, but they really are so glad they are still around. Their food is delicious and the service has always been great too.
thanks for being in roundrock for us.

Overall not very good. Looks good when you sit down, but the food lacks flavor.

After reading all these reviews i was pretty excited to check it out. I dont quite judge restaurants by the way they look outside, so i didnt mind the shopping mall location. Maybe after seeing the autographed Matthew Mcconaughey black and white, i should of known what i was in for.

The Good: Seating was relatively quick and the place is pretty clean. Their lunch menu is not bad either. The waitress brought carafes of whatever you were drinking so that was a plus.

The Bad: Had the baked Ziti. It was lacking, what I think is an important factor when dining out, flavor. Figured maybe Gino was having a bad day because of the flavor thing and the fact that the bread they put on your table look like hot dog buns, so i decided to give it a second chance. Same hot dog buns and flavorless lasagna. Also you should factor in about 40 minutes after the waitress takes your card to ring you up for the meal. Happened both times. Still stubborn about this place so i'll probably be going again. Hopefully the third time is the charm.

The ugly: An autographed 8x10 of a glistening Matthew Mcconaughey.

Gino's it THE BEST restaurant in the Round Rock/Austin area. As proof of that, we practically go on a weekly basis. If you are looking for great Italian and great service, then this is the place. It's perfect for first dates and even families. They also do a fantastic job for parties and receptions (We had our post-destination wedding reception for about 50 people there in January 2007). The Baked Ziti a la Gino is fantastic, and if you want a healthier alternative, order the Chicken Cacciatore with sauteed veggies instead of the side of pasta. They are very accomodating. The thin-crust speciality pizzas are excellent, too. The wine selection is good, and they even offer half-carafes/carafes of a nice house burgundy. On the weekends, they offer "daily specials" not typically on the menu, and they are always superb, whether it be a gnocchi, fish or pasta dish. Go go to Gino's! You will not be disappointed.

We've been to Gino's many times and the food is always outstanding. I've never had the pizza, but all of the versions of spaghetti, canneloni, and other pasta dishes are really, really good. This place is family owned and operated and we've always had very good, friendly service.

We have had to wait for a table once or twice, but they've just expanded the dining room to double the number of tables.

I definitely recommend giving Gino's a shot the next time you want good, home made Italian food!

We both enjoy Italian food, Gino has a very good food selection and some of the best pizza we have ever eaten we have just moved to the area and and have already been in 4 times and this will be our restaurant of choice when we want to go out for Italian Food. All of the employees are very friendly and do everything to make the customer fell special.

I was really looking forward to Gino's after reading the reviews, but I was disappointed. I had the pizza and was wondering is it takeout or DiGorno? I also went with the beef manicotti which was decent. I was not excited about the iceberg lettuce salad loaded with dressing and people raved about the bread, which was just plain white bread sliced with a oil and garlic dipping sauce. I had hoped for more!! Our waitress was very good, friendly and brought extra drinks before we asked.

Austin is not known for Italian food, which is clear why Olive Garden is so well liked. Well, I discovered Gino's and DAMN!!!! What a great place to eat!!!! Gina, the owner, is SWEET and the food is incredible. Definitely the best Italian food I've had since I left Boston too, and by FAR the best in Austin.

After all of the amazing reviews on this site for Gino's, I made it a point to go there. Didn't try the pizza but my calzone was decent (mall-quality) and my boyfriend's lasagna was ok. Nothing spectacular except how long the food took. We sat there for 45 minutes waiting for our food. I think the chef was making food for his employees instead of making ours because all of their food came out first. Very dissapointed!

Chicken Seranto and Trout with pesto, tomatoes and capers (name?). Anyway, food was fantastic, boucoup portions, served with a smile and courtesy. Small wine list, but good inexpensive chianti. Save room for the cheesecakes.

So it's in a strip mall. The place was clean, lit just right, just noisy enough not to be boring. Very big menu for such a small restaurant. Service was precisely right, not snobby, friendly enough to make you want to come back.

Visited on a Wednesday night. Was busy but not over crowded. We were seated immediately, and felt comfortable throughout.

I eat at Gino's weekly. The family owned business has become an extended family to me. I love their pizza of course, but if you haven't tried any of their pasta dishes, You are MISSING out!! This is truly one of the rare small mom and pop's still around. Gina and Teresa, family owners always have a smile on their face and the most awesome service around. Treat yourself to a great meal!! Five Stars all the way. DD

Best Italian FOOD in Austin, by far!

Home made bread and olive oil/garlic dip (as much as you want), salad dressing, pastas and sauces.
Kid friendly, a real place for real people

This restaurant is as good as any in Boston's North End (my home town).

The meat sauce is to die for! Try the beef cannoli It's a delicious, meat filled pasta roll, cooked to order, covered in cheese, floating in sea of scrumptious meat sauce.

Great take out service, for you or a party to 10!

This restaurant is a winning combo; world class food, bargain prices; old world family recipes and friendly service that will keep you coming back, again and again.

my family has been coming to gino's for many years.
the food is wonderful and the service is great too..
2 sisters run it, and they are the most warm and friendly people i have ever met, and they can cook too.
they were even on the news a couple of times for being Dell Comp. favorite place to eat.

I tell you, being a native of the Borrough of the Bronx, New York. It was refreshing to finally find a restaurant that serves SUPERB Italian dishes. The prices are fair, the atmosphere great, the people in its employ were always courteous and friendly. The Food was 'FANTABUOUS'!! I wanted to cry tears of joy for I finally felt that I was not far from my native New York! Thank all at Gino's for the experience!!

Absolutely the best pizza I have experienced in the entire Austin area. The entire menu is an excellent presentation of authentic Italian cuisine. It is a shame it is so small, many people are missing out on a great dining experience. Bring the whole family.
