I just went yesterday to get my fillings done (3 bottom) and I had a very traumatic experience. The dental assistant was not exactly an experienced one or perhaps she was not having a good day. She was holding the suctioning tube and it slid or she let it go, pushing the drill the dentist was holding. The drill got stuck on the inside of my cheek and it ripped my skin leaving not only a hole but a line shaped scar inside my cheek. It bleed tremendously and this happened at the start of my fillings getting done, so I had to bare with the pain another hour or so. Although my mouth was numb (because she numbed the bottom for my fillings and ALSO the top to FIX some temporary fillings placed last week which were causing me pain - wonder why), I could feel a very deep pain. Aside from the pain, I got really truly scared and it really made me nervous.\r\n\r\nI had to miss work for the day due to this little accident, as I was in pain and felt beat up by the experience. Although the dentist apologized and said nothing like that had ever happened before, I have to admit the dental assistants in this office are not exactly trained to the best of their ability to fully assist the dentists efficiently. \r\n\r\nTo give you more information on this dental office. I personally think most of the staff are not very welcoming. Especially one of the ladies named Elizabeth, which I think is the receptionist. Not only does she speaks with a very ugly tone of voice when you ask questions and have concerns, but she also makes faces and have a body language that encourages you to keep your mouth shut instead of raising your concerns.\r\n\r\nI really know that accidents can happen anytime, but never did they offer to give me some sort of compensation for this ""accident."" The only things I was left with were: a hole on my cheek, a lot of pain, a hard time when eating, and two prescriptions for pain killers and mouthwash to heal my mouth, and of course a BIGGER FEAR for dentists. Let's just say that this dental office has a lot to learn regarding customer service...and better dental assistants staff- INCLUDING the receptionist would not hurt this place. \r\n\r\nThis was my experience, but it does not mean that the same will happen to you. BUT it is always good to know...Personally, I do not recomend them and will certainly start browsing for a new dental office to go to.

i have been out looking for weeks for a new dental office to start going to. although there were many other dental offices in humble, i came across this Monarch Dental office. as soon as i walked in, the two ladies at the front desks politely greeted me and the lady named lupe, i believe, asked how could she help. i wanted to find out more information on the types of insurance they take, and luckily she named my insurance company. i was excited to hear that this office took my insurance because it was very hard to find an office who did. i also wanted to find out more information on the different plans they offered, so i spoke with the other young lady named elizabeth, she was very knowledgeable about all the plans they had to offer. i also look at how clean the office is and how organzied the staff is. the office looked very neat and well kept. the bathroom was also very clean and that is always an A+. i am so happy i found this place, so now i can start making appointments for my family and i. i have already recommended this dental office to my friends and family.

This office has the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. They manipulate and make you buy services you don't need. \n\nMy wife and I went in to get routine check ups and asked they we only get services that are covered by our insurance, after we got our bills we noticed that not all our services were covered. We found out they did x-rays not covered even though we asked that we only wanted what was covered. You also have to buy a $50 bottle of mouth wash regardless if you plan on using it or not.\n\nThe worst part of this office is the receptionist, Elizabeth. She lied to us several times about our bills and has not clue what is going on.\n\nAvoid this office unless you're willing to deal with a bunch of thieves.

The office staff is unprofessional, They constantly would add frivolous treatments that my insurance wouldn't cover. When I had questions regarding billing, the office mgr Maria never had a clear answer always had to call me back and rarely called back as promissed. A complete waste of money, We decided to go with a new dentist ...my daughter's braces were poorly done
which added another two years to the time she has to wear braces.

I felt very comfortable throughout the entire process of three visits. I will continue to go to him and suggest that others use him as their dentist as well.

I could count on Monarh Dental. Whether it's major work or something minor, I am treated with kindness and care. I can think of no other dentist to suggest to my friends that Monarh Dental.

I took my 4 year old for her first check up. A dentist visit is normally a very traumatic experience for most, (especially me) and they were very nice, professional, explained everything in advance.

The entire staff was, as usual, incredible, effecient, professional and attentive to my personal needs. The entire experience was a pleasure...and who can say that about a dentist appointment. I honestly feel that my well being is their top priority.

I should have done more research. I selected this office because it was supposed to be a pediatric dentist office and I have a child who is very emotional and deathly afraid of doctors and dentists. My wife called me and informed me that it was their policy to not allow parents in the back while they are performing dental care and they had escorted my son to the back screaming hysterically. I immediately called and demanded that my wife be allowed to observe the ""care"" my son was receiving and the woman I was speaking to on the phone placed me on hold. I then spoke to a woman who informed me that their policy does not allow parents to escort children due to sharp objects in the room. I informed her that if that is the case it should have been disclosed prior to care and if I knew of their policy I would have elected to receive dental care for my son elsewhere. I was then called to schedule an appointment for follow-up care and quickly reminded the receptionist that I had informed them earlier that my son would not be returning. She then informed that I have already paid for future care and I am now in the process of trying to get my money back for services that have not been rendered. Overall, a horrible experience accompanied with an incompetent staff. How are they still in business?

I was switched to Monarch dental by my insurance company. First off it's located in a run down abandoned strip mall. Upon arrival, the receptionist was curt bordering on unfriendly, and I waited 15 mins for an assistant to come in. Without any talking she led me into the X ray room with stains on the walls, and proceeded to silently struggle with the equipment. She seemed unfamiliar with the X ray equipment and conducted it with no explanation or conversation. I was then led to another room that had stains on the floors, walls, and ceiling, with wallpaper curling up along the bottom, and a shoddily patched section of wall exposed and sat there for 30 mins. The dentist came in looked at my X rays and teeth and said they were fine. I then waited another 20 mins for the hygienist to come in and measure the pocket depth of my gums. She said there were some beginnings of gingivitis and a build up of calculus and plaque, but not too bad and that I didn't need a ""deep cleaning"" So then she says I have to watch a DVD. So I wait 5 mins and they wheel in a TV and play a movie from the 90's about how to brush and floss. It finishes and I'm alone sitting in the room. The front desk lady comes in and asks to see my insurance card again (weird as she's already made a photocopy of it) she looks at the front and then looks at the back and hands it back and leaves with no explanation. Another 5 mins later an assistant comes in and plays another DVD about gingivitis. At this point it?s been 2 hours and still haven't got my teeth cleaned. Then 10 mins after the second dvd ends the receptionist comes in and tells me that I need to sign an authorization form for which there is a copay out-of-pocket expense of 90 bucks. I say no and that I'd just like the regular cleaning, She says ok but that I have to make another appointment. I tell her that this is what I came for and she says no. What a waste of time! Stay away from this dirty office and their rude incompetent staff.

i went to monarch dental in humble and the young lady in the front desk assisted me. i told her i needed questions to be answered, and she said she was able to help me out. i asked her if monarch accepted my type of insurance and sure asured me that they did. then i asked her if they worked on children because i have two kids who are three and five. she told me that the end of this month, which is january, they will have a pediodontist who will start working there. as i was about to leave she asked me if i would like a appointment card and i of course said yes. since she was such a friendly, i asked her to write her on the card. i hope she will be there when i come back for my appointments.

Terrible Front Desk Customer Service. Beware of the manager, Maria. If you have to deal with her verify everything she says and send her an email to back up your conversation. She'll denied everything, and it took awhile for her to assume any resposibility. Her English is poor and she would probably communicate better in Spanish. Maria denied everything concerning my appointment and my request for my xrays duplication. What a pity because the dentist was nice.
