First let me be clear and say that this review is not towards the technician. The TECH was professional, courteous and a pleasure to deal with.

The management of this business is another story.

First they Quoted me a complete price for repair plus parts which i paid in full when the tech came to do the initial diagnosis.

A week later i got a phone call explaining that the wrong part had been ordered (no mention of price change) and that they needed to reschedule.
I reschedule the appointment to Thursday from 4 to 6 pm.

I took an hour off from work to make it home by 4. At 6:45 PM i got a call saying that the technicians was 45 minutes away from my house. I told them to reschedule.

They finally came to install the part, only now i find out that the correct part is an additional 76 dollars and i owe them some money. When I was CLEARLY told when I paid in full the first time (2 weeks ago now) that I would not owe them anything else.
The technician was kind enough to call his manager to discuss the situation because:
1st The wrong part got ordered.
2nd the wrong price was quote and paid for.
3rd at this point it??s been two weeks of this shenanigan.
4thThey completely missed the scheduled installation window.
His manager basically told him "too bad". I have better things to do than to deal with unorganized, unscrupulous, shady business like this and just cut them a check.

I should have gone with SEARS.

I would NOT RECOMMEND. Stay away. I know you??re reading this saying ??hmmm I support local shops, let me give them a chance? THAT IS WHAT I THOUGHT. The Only reason I went with them is because they are a business in my neighborhood.

I am truely shocked by the negative reviews that are being left. It seems to me, since I have always received excellent service from Lee at Benchmark's Parts Today, that someone is just trying to "raise a stink". Lee is always prompt, professional, and commited to excellence. He has repaired several appliances for me, from Microwave, to Washer. In fact, Lee is such a find, that I followed him to Benchmark's Part Today because he has always delivered on all commitments. Each time the bill came in well under any competition. The appliance that was repaired lasted years after the repair, when other places had told me to trash it and just get a new one. Of course the other places wanted me to purchase through them. Lee, with Benchmark's Parts Today in Spring, has always delivered on the quality and professionalism promised, and gone above and beyond to be pleasant, and helpfull. Lee at Benchmark's Parts Today will continue to get my business.

These guys are awesome! I had a broken icemaker in my refrigerator. I took it into the store, they matched it up to a new one and told me exactly how to install it. The next day, my freezer was full of ice!! They were all very nice and super helpful. I would very highly recommend them to anyone!

I know that appliance store and repair companies have generally BAD reputations, but we thought we would give what seems on the outside to be a small mom-and-pop owned appliance company the benefit of the doubt. This company did worse than not surprising us with good service, they've lied, cheated and stolen from our large family of 7. We are just trying to make it in this life, it is the people who are constantly stealing, lying and cheating about business that make, insurance so high, they make taxes high, they cause the entire human race to suffer....I tell you and warn you, If you don't want your family to be taken advantage of... run fast, run the other direction. There are many companies out there and this 1 is the absolute worse!

Sears charges way too much and they don't know who you are after you buy something you are just a number in a national data base. \nI got a Dishwasher professional installed by Benchmark and then later something went wrong, it was not cleaning right. I called Benchmark and they told me how to call to set up service with the factory and looked after me personally. Lee came out and fixed the problem in ONE stop, turns out I was not getting enough water. Way to take care of the customer after the sale.\nAnd, while he was here he answered all of my questions about the washer and dryer I bought from sears, and saved me from having a service call which they may not have paid for because all I needed to do was clean the exaust duct for the dryer. I will Definetely Call them back.\n\nExcellent Service!!

Found them in the Yellow Pages and looked them up on the Web. I emailed them and they called. The followed up with calls to me about my problem. The Tech, Lee, showed me the problem and gave me a better understanding of our refrigerator. I will use Benchmark again for any appliance issue we have in the future. Great people and process.

The owner PERSONALLY came to our home to deliver the missing parts to our order. Wow! What great service. We are so excited to have our dryer working again. Thanks, Benchmark. Highly recommend to all. If a company is willing to go that far to take care of customers, I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

At first I didn't feel comfortable but I was assured it was done to make the technician's job more efficient. I almost gave up hope of having my six year old Whirlpool refrigerator repaired after being told it couldnt be fixed by one national company and was quoted the repair was too costly by another. Refusing to accept that news, I ventured to the local Home Depot store where those folks referred me to a guy whom they said can do it if no one else can! So I decided to try out this local parts dealer as suggested. The gentleman behind the counter, Mr. Mike, explained to me what could possibly be going on with my refrigerator. He offered to have his technician come out but I couldnt afford another costly service call. Instead Mr. Mike directed me as to what to look for and guided me on how I could fix it. Thus my Saturday honey-do project began to gel together. Much to my astonishment along with assistance from my son, I was able to do the repair for a fraction of my second quote. My fridge isnt dead and in fact it is much alive and even making ice again! Thank you Benchmark and Mr. Mike for your help! You were very knowledgeable, helpful and reasonably priced! You have a loyal customer in me.\r\n-D Ultrie. \r\n

He explained everything to them and they repaired the frig the next day for $190.00. I am also a business owner and like Benchmark we try to make all of our customers happy. Especially in todays economy it is important to support local small businesses, however, what about those small businesses such as Benchmark (Maytag) that $teals and uses clients for profit ONLY?? This is a DISGRACE this is 1 reason the last of the local small businesses are no longer able to hold on!! people don't trust them to deal honestly with them!! I can tell you Benchmark is NOT honest and Fair in their dealings...if they were our family would not have had to hire an attorney to take them to court to get them to honor their contract!! Especially in todays economy it is important to support local small businesses, however, what about those small businesses such as Benchmark (Maytag) that $teals and uses clients for profit ONLY?? This is a DISGRACE this is 1 reason the last of the local small businesses are no longer able to hold on!! people don't trust them to deal honestly with them!! What else can I say?... Unexpected dryer problems and a lot of laudry to do. Shop was open on Saturday to pick up part for a DIY repair. Dryer is back up and going. I spent less than I would have to purchase the part online with standard shipping.\r\n\r\nI am not one to post reviews... but my experience was more than pleasant and I always prefer to buy local. I will be back.

The younger guy who I spoke to when I called was able to get me scheduled that same afternoon and thankfully they had the part with them to fix the machine so I could get my laundry done without having to wait several days for parts. The service technician was very nice as well. Definately will be calling these guys the next time I have a problem with anything in my home.

It seems as long as your paying the BBBureau they don't care that companies are dishonest in their dealings. I believe this company was a member of the BetterBusinessBureau before they sold out, now the new owner is dishonest and no one there even cares as long as they keep their dues $$$ coming! They won't do a thing about these thieves! I agree with the other writer---be very, very afraid!\r\n\r\n

I had my maytag washer repaired by benchmark, after a huge bill the washer continued to be broken. The exact same problem. I called the other maytag company out and got it fix for less than 1/2 $ of what benchmark stole from me.

This company doesn't do what they say, they ripped me off for over 2000 and won't talk to me about repairs or replacement, they are running from me and thier business is stacked with owners making it dissicult for my attny to get to the bottom of it all!

Take it from me, unless you to want to spend an additional $6k getting damaged appliances -I've spent $11000. appliances because of the LOW quality of work..this is 1 place you shouldn't give your hard earned money as they don't care about anyone but HIS bottom line. Come to find out he hasn't even been the BUSINESS OWNER to work hard to earn a reputation over the years of being in business, but, however, bought this ""business"" from SOMEONE!
