I recently purchased a laptop pc from this store called discount electronics. Before making the purchase, I asked the young sales lady who was helping me out what the retrun policy is for the store. She said that they don't issue back a refund, but that I have a 90 day warranty on the purchase of the computer and if I'm not satisfied, I could either do an exchange for another computer or they can issue me back a store credit. I went along believing this lady and said that that was fair. Less than 60 days of purchaing the compueter, the hard drive went bad on me. I took my computer back to their store and they placed a new hard drive on my laptop. I said okay, it should be okay now. When I came home to test the laptop, the new hard drive was extremely irritating and making loud stange noise. I took it back and spoke to the store manager telling her that instead of doing repair on it, I would like to just do an exchange for another computer since I was still under my 90- days warranty. The manager told me that she couldn't do that because she needed to get the repair team to look at it first and they should be able to fix it. I declined several times because I paid several hundred dollars for the laoptop and it shouldn't need to be fix . So, they went ahead and put in another hard drive on the pc and as soon as I got home, the new hard drive went bad and I had to take my computer back to the store and this time, I made a scene. I was very patient with the manager and with the cost of gas price, I must have waisted over $20-$25 dollars traveling back and forth forseveral days to get this resolved and I told her that I was not living the store until she gives me another computer and she kept on insisting for me to get repair done on it to which I declined that I didn't want any repair. I was so upset because they betrayed my trust. We went at it for about 30 mins and everyone at the store was looking at me and wondering what was going on. It got so bad that she threatned to call the police on me and there were several customers that came by me and try to calm me down. But I was livid. I had enough of it. The computer that I purcahsed from them wasn't even worth the amount i paid for it. I spend over $300 on it when i could I got similar computer from ebay for less than that. I purchased from them because i thought that with the warranty they offered, I would be better off since they can issue me back store credit or an exchage. Men, this lesson is priceless. If you are thinking about buying from this store, I strongly caution you to buy elsewhere. They managerial staff are so unprofessional. Once they take your money, you are not getting it back. Even before the lady did an exchange for me for another computer, we had an argument for at least 30 mins. After I showed her that I am not the person who can be pushed around, she finally did an exchange for me for another computer. I WILL NEVER VERE PURCAHSE ANYTHING FROM THESE CROOKS!!! I hate to use that words, but the reason I am wrinting this review is to save you all the headaches, the frustration, and the humilation that I had to go through. I know that sometimes, we all like to save money, but in reality, in this case, i wished that I would have purcahsed a brand new computer instead of the used one that they sold to me that gave me all that headahces.
