John Eagle Lied To My Face

by Dustin S.

I went to John Eagle Honda on a Saturday, looking to buy a car. I told them what my price range was and they kept bumping it up, up, up. I finally settled on a car. I asked to see a carfax and a Kelley Blue Book value on the car. I also told them I wanted in writing that I had until that monday morning to get it checked out by a mechanic. One of their sales managers came out and said "Oh, no reason to. We check 'em. Dont worry. Blah Blah Blah." I demanded to take it to mechanic or I would leave, and the guy backed off.

When I took it to the mechanic they found not only that work had been done to the front end (which was NOT on the carfax), but that there was an oil leak, and they couldnt find the source. When my wife called me and told me about it, I started doing more research and found out that the KBB value they had shown me at the dealership was for a NEW Nissan Versa, not one with 38,000 miles and various issues (mechanical and asthetic). I confronted them about it, and they told me to bring it in. I said I was going to and they were going to rip up the contract, I had it in writing. The guy I talked to kept arguing with me (How do they know its really an oil leak? Cant we fix it? Whos your mechanic?).

I then spent the next 2 hours at the dealership with George Mason (The pre-owned sales manager), who wouldnt stop: #1 trying to get me to buy another car, and #2 talking about how wonderful he was. I have NEVER heard someone talk about how great they are. He kept telling me he's a straight shooter, hes a great guy, I'll want to come back, etc. I ended up going to Baker-Jackson Nissan and getting a better deal on the same car with fewer miles.

Stay away from John Eagle. I ended up wasting 2 days of my life AND being late back to work because the sales manager has a big mouth. Worst car buying experience of my life, hands down.

Freaking Scam Artists!!!!!!

by Penelope P.

I went in to review my options because I was nearing the end of a lease on my SUV. They definitely don't believe in customer satisfaction or customer service. They conveniently did not explain all of my options, and tried to get me to exchange to a low end civic that was not even new and tried to charge me more money! Luckily I contacted Honda Finance and was informed that I was in perfect standing with them, and what this dealership tried to pull was outrageous! This was not just a regular sales person that attempted to do this, but also the owner himself. He smiled shook my hand, and then proceeded to try to completely screw me over!! What kind of freaking commission were they looking to make? I have owned or leased Honda cars or SUV over the last 10 years, and was never treated so disrespectfully. They are a bunch of crocked as***holes!!!!

Liars!

by Jamal W.

What do you expect though, they are just trying to make a sale. Basically I was offered a free cruise by DAN DAVIS if I made the purchase right then. Car was priced right so I made the purchase, got home, researched Infinity Incentive Group and found out the whole thing is a scam.
What makes me mad is that he looked me right in the eyes and lied to my face.
Stay away from this company and stay away from DAN DAVIS.
If they will lie directly to my face, what's going to prevent them from lying to yours?

NO NOT AWESOME

by albie l.

Oh they suck. They suck balls. We're so pissed. They pulled a 1-2 on us...if you're gonna deal here (and seriously, you shouldn't be that hard up to not drive to another dealership) then just don't trust anything they say. Get it all on paper with signatures so you can bring them on Judge Judy when time comes.
Maybe they don't treat everyone like that..but you might not be one of the lucky ones.

Great Sales Guy!!!

by Eric P. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 291

We have purchased 3 cars from John Eagle. The last 2 (about 7 years apart) were from the same sales guy. He worked extremely hard to earn our business.

The maintenance shop is very clean and they are very nice and very helpful. Good experience when we have to get something fixed.

Only experienced their parts dept, very happy

by David H. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,520

I came to John Eagle Honda to visit their parts department which has just about any Honda part and many aftermarket parts you can buy. The guys there are great and they provide great, efficient service. They like to cut you a deal too so go here for all your parts needs. The guys here are also knowledgeable on the parts they sell.

Service department is decent

by Shabana C. | insider Insider | Rank: 19,549

We've been taking our 1996 Honda Accord to this service center regularly, on a schedule, for about 3 years now. We've had only a couple major repairs. The express oil change service is very convenient. The staff is very friendly. They have a plasma TV for customers waiting inside. They also have free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, mocha, espresso. We've had horrible experiences with other services like Pep Boys, Penske, etc, and we feel much better about taking our car in to John Eagle for regularly scheduled maintenance and minor repairs.
