I have thick eyebrows and went to Teta to get them shaped. Don't let anyone tell you thick eybrows have to be waxed to almost nothing...Teta works with your arch and the shape of your face to give you the best possible overall look. I've been very happy with my brows since I gave Teta a try!

Janelle has been doing my color for years. I am a blonde and find it so difficult to find a really good colorist that isn't going to give me a "brassy" or "golden" look. She is just perfect!! She also did my hair and make-up for my wedding and several different events. I highly recommend her as a top-notch colorist and make-up artist. Thank you Janelle!!!

You know I just got done reading lots of the comments mentioned below. Reason for my interest is because I personally have been going to the salon for afew years and know many whom work there. I personally have not experienced any thing negative and for the most part I think most everyone is a professional. Unfortunately, I feel that some of the hair stylists mentioned have had either un-satisfied customers or enemies whom have taken the opportunity of being able to write comments to put them down and possibly the same stylists with the bad review have asked their friends, family and possibly happy clients to go on site and defend them by mentioning how wonderful they are. the reason for me coming to this conclusion is because after all, there are many other wonderful stylists whom are very good and exteremely professionals who are not mentioned. Just for that, I feel that this whole thing with anyone and everyone annonymousley leaving good or bad comments is not either right ethical nor just and definately not professional.

Janelle is amazing with hair. I went in there not knowing what to do with my hair anymore. I pretty much left it up to her to give me a new look and i was impressed with the the outcome. I never thaught that i would look and feel good in short hair and boy was i surprised. Not only do i feel good but all my freiends and family have complimented my new look and how it make me look younger. Thank you Janelle for taking care of me.

I have been going to Claudia for 10 years. I like to change my haircolor almost every time I see her. She is tasteful with the decisions she and I make. I love Claudia because of her creativity and professionalism. My hair always looks great and I have been almost every color blonde, red auburn, light brown, dark brown, higlighted,.... everyone complements how natural it looks and healthy. Janelle put the chocolate brazilian treatment on my hair and completely fried it. My hair has been falling out and breaking for a month now. The manager of the salon had to cut my hair--a lot. I would not let Janelle do anything to my hair. My hair will not be the same for years. The salon refunded my money, minus the generous tip. . And, Janelle's last words to me as my hair is breaking and falling out were "There is nothing else I can do for you"--- She could have cared less that she fried my hair. She needs a lesson on maturity, for sure.

I was referred to Norris by a friend and was excited about going. I walked in the salon and waited for a good five minutes before the person behind the desk would acknowledge me, then I had to wait another ten minutes before my so called stylist came to get me. The only way to describe my haircut is fast and furious, which is exactly how it looked when I left. I had to go to another salon to get it fixed so I could style it.
All in all, it was an overpriced nightmare... I won't go back!

My wife has gone to the salon for some time, when I went and found out how much they charge for mens hair, I inquired on the cost of hers!! Wholly cow! I refuse to spend $50-$75 every other week on my haircut I can get at a similar salon for $25-$35! And I asked my wife to just "try" my salon. She did and she was very happy! At less than 1/2 the price, I'll be putting the $250-300 I'm saving every month in the bank while my wife and I remain looking amazing!

After reading and thoroughly researching the Brazilian hair treatment I decided to give it a go and made an appointment with CJ at Norris. She answered my questions and addressed my concerns via a phone consultation and again reviewed everything prior to the treatment. She selected the treatment that was most appropriate for my hair type and spent a ton of time on my hair -it is beautiful! I walked into the salon looking like Janis Joplin and walked out with luscious locks. Living here in Houston it is a never ending battle against humidity when you have frizzy/wavy hair. CJ made it possible for me not to worry about the weather and wake up with beautiful, soft, shiny hair. It still has body but no more frizz - this is nothing short of a miracle. If you have to fight frizz, you need to go and see CJ - she will change your life (or at least make it easier for you to have fabulous hair...)

Donna did a wonderful job with my make over. She took 5 years off my face. If you haven't had a make over in a while it is well worth it.
Stacy also did a great job with my facial. My skin was improved after only one time. She was very thorough and it was very relaxing. She also did a great job shaping my brows.

i went in for a haircut upon my girlfriends suggestion. My mother was a hairstylist, so not easily impressed. But i have to say, Kimberly knew exactly how to handle my uncontrollable hair. She was very professinal and knew exactly whar to do. I had never seen anyone cut my hair like she did, not just your basic BLUNT cut(which by the way looks crappy on my hairtype), but gave me a style and directed me on how to keep my style looking good for at least 4 weeks. Can i just say Kimberly is amazing!!!!!!!!

Teta is the best in Houston at eyelash extensions. Everybody will believe they are all yours! She can shape eyebrows better than anyone else too. After many occassions where my eyebrows have been ruined by a so-called "professional", I will not let anyone touch mine but Teta. She also just happens to be a wonderful pleasant person who will make you feel very comfortable. As an earlier reviewer said, "Teta Rocks!"

Nikki did my make up for my wedding day and it was PERFECT! She worked with me and was funny and SO NICE. Then, she used a new product on my face that made my make up stay put ALL NIGHT LONG! I totally recommend Nikki for your wedding make up! Or for any special event!

Yolanda did my AMAZING UP DO for my wedding. It was perfect, and stayed put all night long! She put the veil in and kept asking me if the bobby pins were uncomfortable. If they were, she immediately moved them a bit until they were perfect! I recommend YOLANDA to do your wedding hair or any special event hair!

I have very curly, long, typically Irish hair. I decided to try the Brailian hair straghtening. Its a keratin treatment. I followed the reviews on Citysearch to Janelle. I could not be happier!!! Janelle answered all of my questions, explained the whole process to me, and was super friendly through out the whole process. I now have the most luxurious, STRAIGHT, soft, skinny hair....I never would have thought this was possible for me. Janelle is a miracle worker and my personal hero. Be brave...try the straightening, I dont know if Ill ever be curly again!!! Thanks Janelle!!!!

I decided to get my hair done for my wedding (the whole trying to look perfect thing). I got my hair colored, highlighted, and straightened using the brazilian keratin hair treatment. Janelle did all of this, and she did an amazing job! She was very informative, answered every question I had, and overall had a great personality. I can't remember when my hair has been this shiny, silky, and healthy! I will never go to another hair salon again! People even comment on how soft it is! If you're trying to find a place to make your hair look great - go to Norris and ask for Janelle!

when i first walked in i thought tacky!!! but that didnt stop me from trying to get a haircut. haircut was alright, but when i went to pay, i felt like i was being ignored. i will never go back and i do not recommend annyone to this place... OVER RATED

On my first visit to Norris I had Teta for eyelash extentions, she is not the first to apply extentions for me, BUT she will be the last!..."thorough-perfection"...professional... so knowledgeable and always up to date as an esthetician. From week one with Teta, and without fail someone comments on my beautiful lashes...never believing they aren't God-given! I've also been lucky enough to have my brows, massages and facials with Teta...it's simply the best (you think)...but once she is acclimated to your skin and body-it gets even better!! Teta ROCKS!!!!!!!!

I highly recommend both Janelle and Teta!!! I found Norris of Houston when I went to get my eyebrows waxed. Teta did the best job of anyone I have ever gone to. She is amazing. She is so detail oriented and fixed my eyebrows to perfection. She recommended me to Janelle for the Brazilian Hair Straightening. If you are like me with frizzy curly hair, you know what a pain living in Houston can be. Brazilian Hair Straightening fixed all of that for me. My hair is now straight, soft, and never responds to humidity ever. Janelle saved my hair. Going to her was the best decision I ever made.

In short, go to Teta and Janelle. They are truly a godsend. I couldn't possibly be happier!

Ok where do I begin?! I found Janelle because I kept hearing about this new Brazilian hair straightener. I liked it because it wasn't "permanent" and I didn't want to damage my hair... so after some research, I came across Norris of Houston and the wonderful Janelle. The price caught my attention because she was cheaper than anyone I had talked to. After stopping by to meet her, I felt so informed. My hair is a frizzy mess and with summer coming, I had to try something. I can not tell you how well it turned out! My hair has never looked this great, even after a professional blowout! I turned into a wash and go girl. So then I asked her about adding some length... I had never tried extensions, but with the great new hair, I needed it long now! So next visit, we added 8 inches! Just like that, I had straight, silky hair, half way down my back. And I swear to God, not a single person could tell. They all thought it was from my brazilian. So then next visit (yes, I'm now a addicted), we covered those pesky grays that I keep seeing more of. She matched the color to the exact color of my hair. Again so natural. So I just can't say enough about her. She is amazing!

I've been going to Arlett for two years now and she gets it right everytime. I am very picky when it comes to my hair so when I found Arlett I was so happy to say the least. I also love the location of the salon it's so relaxing and the staff are so great. So if you're looking for that one person who can listen to what YOU want ...Arlett is you girl.

I got the Brazilian kerstin treatment from Jennel.

No one can believe the difference in my hair. I went from frizzy to silky straight in just a couple of hours. Its like I got a hair transplant. My hair is healthier than ever!

Everyone at the spa was friendly and warm. I will being returning for all my salon needs. I can't say enough good things about Norris of Houston, Jennel and the Brazilian treatment!

If you need a massage or facial Teta is wonderful too....

I have had my hair cut in every major city in this country and finally found perfection with Claudia at Norris in Houston. I've never had such a versatile, lively style. My once dead long locks were transformed thanks to Claudia's shear genius. She created a signature look, which is easy to manage. The best part is she understood what worked, what I wanted and just did it.

I visited Norris only because my stylist Arlette moved there. That was the best decision she could have made for BOTH of us! I really hated going to the Galleria because of the crowds and terrible parking among other things. I only went to the Galleria because Arlette was there and she does such a GREAT JOB with my hair. I am sooo happy that she moved to Norris. Free parking, no crowds to deal with, and the decor is really soothing. Now I can really relax and enjoy getting my hair done and have great conversation as well. Arlette is a great person and a great hair stylist. I highly recommend going to Norris and ask for Arlette!

I've gotten several services at this salon, and never been disappointed. All of their staff are nice. A couple of them remembers me, and always start a friendly conversion. I get my haircut and dye here and it always looks so good. I notice how other clients also look amazing whenever they walk out. Would highly recommend.

I have had the pleasure of following Ashley from the beginning of her career as a stylist. I have been going to Ashley for years and all I need to do when I get my hair cut is sit in the chair and let her work her magic I never leave the salon with any other feeling except happiness. I can describe her work with one word PERFECTION!!!! My hair is very difficult to deal with because it is so flat and hard to get any sort volume in it but this girl achieves that. Thanks Ashley for always making me look fabulous!!!!!!!!

I was so happy with my decision to go with Donna for makeup for my engagement party. She was sooo amazing. She knew just what to do without having to look at a picture (like other makeup artists i have gone to)...She just went with what she thought matched my face and my skin tone and she did an amazing job!
I have never felt more confident.
I cannot say enough good things about her. She knows what she is doing and she is honest and so much fun to be around, I would not go anywhere else.
And she has such great taste. I have very curly hair (very hard to manage) and she knew just who to send me to do my hair that day. I believe her name was yolanda. She was great as well.

I have used many makeup artists but Donna Abate is the best ever. Any time I want to go to a special event I use her. When I attend the event, I feel like I am looking my best. At times I have had skin procedures done and she has made it look like it does not exist. Totally awesome.

I have been going to Arlette for almost 6 years!!! She recently moved from Visible Changes to Norris of Houston and this is where I wish she was all along. No crowded malls, looking for parking and feeling like a herded cow to get a haircut. Norris of Houston is for people that appreciate that extra customer service with a smile. Arlette takes her time doing your hair and makes sure she listens to exactly what you want. No surprises and she is always consistently perfect!!! She's not pushy and will not try to make you buy products like they do at some hair salons. I would consider myself a very picky person and have left many places in tears--however, since Arlette has been doing my hair I worry no more. Not only is she great at hair, she gets to know all her clients--probably because she knows she will be seeing them again soon! Thanks Arlette :-)

I had spent all day in the Galleria doing Christmas shopping and my feet and back were killing me. I was tired and achey to say the least!The Spa that I normally visit is in the Heights. I needed something now!!!
I have friends that have gone to Norris and said wonderful things about their experieces so I gave it a shot. I had the most amazing experience! My massage therapist name was Teta. She was very friendly and professional and I wish there was a better word for "amazing" because that would be my experience. Thank you! I feel even better today

Before my first visit to her, I thought I already knew how to do my makeup and I was great at it. Then I met Donna and she worked her magic. I have been going to Norris for several years now, and I refuse to go anywhere else. I have gotten haircuts, up-dos, make-up applications, and mani/pedis there, and all have been fabulous. Donna, one of the make up artists at Norris, is amazing and I would definately recommend her to anyone looking for a special look for an evening out, or especially a bride looking for someone to do her make up for her special day. Young ladies, the stylists at Norris can set you up with a beautiful one of a kind up do for homecoming or prom, or brides, they will take care of your for your wedding day. Inside Norris itself is beautiful, full of old world charm. If you have a pedicure at Norris, I promise you will never want to have one any where else ever again. Highly recommended!!!

While Donna is an excellent make-up artist, she is equally proficient as a teacher. She always helped me to leave the salon understanding how I could duplicate her make-up application at home. She was economical in her suggestions, never pushing me to buy items that I didn't need. We reviewed what I had in stock so that I didn't duplicate. Donna is unfailing in her kindness and concern for her customers. While I now live in Naples, I keep in touch with Donna and go to the salon for services when I am in Houston.

Although Norris of Houston has lots of talented individuals, no one can match the talent of their make-up artist, Donna Abate. Donna can turn you into the most fantastic cover girl, drama queen or demure bride. I would not consider sitting for a portrait or attending an important event without Donna's artistic magic. And she shares her skills through easy-to-follow lessons and hands-on demonstrations. Everyone I refer to Donna has been delighted!

Donna Abate did my makeup for my wedding 2 years ago, she even came to my hotel and did my bridesmaids and my mother and we all looked like movie stars. I have come back to her since then to get updates on my makeup and just love the tricks she has shown me! I feel more beautiful than ever and always get compliments on how polished I look and how much better my makeup lasts over the course of a long workday staring at a computer screen! I bought several of the products she offers directly and while it costs more, I will never go back to buying drugstore makeup again. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and cheap looks cheap! Thank you Donna, I feel like I was part of a makeover shows!

Four of us went to Donna Abate for make-up lessons with the caveat that we wanted our session to be fun and instructional for everyone. We had had a bad experience the year before at S_____ and we didn't want to repeat that uncomfortable and expensive experiment. Donna was GREAT! She looked at everyone's make-up and picked from mine to give to Jenny - and picked from Kenda's to give to me, etc. So everyone saved money. We all loved her products and bought some of her stuff, but she didn't push her stuff needlessly. At the end of the evening, everyone looked wonderful - very age appropriate. And our ages varied wildly! Donna gave us charts and explained carefully about what she was doing, and told us little tips to help us be able to follow her instructions at home.
Donna was fun and funny and we had a great time. We will definitely go back again and again!

We were there until very late, and the staff was still there to check us out with no complaints - they were SO nice!!

After years of jumping from place to place to get my eyebrows waxed, I finally came across a gold-mine! I have always felt uncomfortable while someone was waxing my eyebrows, but bar none, Teta makes you feel extremely comfortable, as if you have known her for years. I would never consider allowing anyone else to wax my eyebrows again. So if you are looking for that perfect experience, don't go searcing anymore! Go see Teta! She will make you feel absolutely FABULOUS!!

I recently moved to Houston from Los Angeles and have been searching for someone to do good eyebrow shaping. I am a perfectionist when it comes to my brows...I had an amazing lady in LA, and I always got compliments on my brows. So after going to 3 different people in Houston and not being satisfied, I finally found Teta...she's the bomb!!! I first read about her on City Search and just had her shape my brows for the 2nd time. She really knows what she is doing, so if your in need of great eyebrows, Teta is the one!!!! I will definitely continue going to Teta, and Norris is a nice salon and in a great location!

I came to Norris as a first time client and im so glad I did. Let me first just say its so hard to find a great esthetician. I needed my brows waxed and bikini area done. She shaped my brows perfectly to my face, I was so pleased. Now it was time for my brazillian. Its never exactly fun to get a brazillian but Teta was so professional and my comfort was her number one concern. Best waxing experience I have had. I will definetely be back to see her again. i walked in, strip center, big over the top furnishings, lots of men (unusual in a hair salon, and i like modern clean furnishings and a minimalist feel, i am nervous, should i make a run for it......i stayed and when gena came to retrieve me she was young with some tatoos, i am feeling better......wonderful color, cut and the shampoo and head massage by carla was unsurpassed. finally after a year and one-half in houston with very bad hair experiences i am happy. i will go back forever and ever, wonderful relaxing experience.

I had an important evening planned and I really wanted to look my best, so I decided to seek the help of a pro. I just moved back to Houston after living in Los Angeles for 6 years and did not have a clue which place I should go to, so I decided to pick a place off of Citysearch and hope for the best. I seriously lucked out. First, I had Yolanda work on my hair. I brought in my own clip-in extensions from the Jessica Simpson/Ken Paves line, and I explained how I wanted it styled to match my own hair. Yolanda listened carefully to what I wanted and did a better job than I had even hoped for. I was giddy. Then, I went to Nikki to get my makeup done. I only vaguely described the look I was going for, yet somehow Nikki perfectly executed the vision I had in my mind. I had never tried airbrush makeup before, and I've had some terrible makeup jobs done by alleged professionals, so I was pretty nervous. But Nikki was wonderful, and she put me at ease right away. I actually had fun! My makeup looked amazing, and it stayed on throughout the entire humid evening. The service at the front desk was amazing, and the salon itself is beautiful. The prices are even lower than what they have listed on their website, and I thought they were really reasonable considering the quality of the service I received. I plan on returning to Norris for any and every important event for which I want to look perfect.

I had been told about Norris of Houston by a friend of mine. As I walked in and went to the front desk I felt as if the receptionists were to busy to pay attention to me, I felt very pushed away. After which I waited for my stylist for over 10 min because she was running late. Once I met my stylist I felt very rushed to tell her what I wanted and was very quickly sent to the shampoo area where I recieved a very fast paced shampoo which I prefer something more relaxing. The cut ended up being decent but after the whole experience was said and done I would never send anyone i know to get a nice relaxing and enjoyable experience at Norris of Houston

I agree with the customer below about Rafia Siddiqui, I too followed her from her last salon and have never been disappointed. Before discovering Rafia, a bikini wax was always a daunting 'must' that I would dread but Rafia puts you at ease, and is fun whilst being professional,so I would add "Bikini wax queen' to her accolades too! She also did my eyebrows recently for the first time, and she shaped them beautifully. I am leaving the States soon unfortunately and know that I will not get this great service in Europe, I want to take her with me!

I've been going to Rafia Siddiqui, beautician, for over a year now and WON'T go anywhere else. I followed her on from another salon. She truly is a find! I call her the 'eyebrow' Queen. I've never known anyone to take the time and be so precise with her work. I've never had threading prior and now won't go back to waxing and my eyebrows are always so perfect when she's done. As for bikini waxing, she is the best. I'm such a wimp and she always takes her time and does it in really small sections, and i mean really small. I feel guilty as she has to take that extra time for me but she always does and it never bothers her. Her facials are to die for. Again it's the time she takes and the way she makes me feel so relaxed and my skin feels so healthy and smooth. I've also had back treatments, which consists of a great massage, cleansing, steaming and conditioning the skin. I recommend trying this as it was something i would never have done and it not only cleans an area that we can't really get to it's a great relaxing treat. Raffia will customize anything you want to your needs which works perfect for me. She has always been absolutely great with me and the friends i've recommended to her, but don't take my word, seriously go try her as you will never go anywhere else.

OMG! Nicki saved my day, when my make-up artist canceled on me last minute for a Gala that I had to attend. So, I called Norris of Houston and was able to get in with Nicki. She saved my day and she now has me as a client for life. All I can say is that her professionalism and years of experience defiantly shows! She was on time for my appointment unlike some places that we have all gone to. Also, be sure to ask for Gary at the desk for your referrals since he has been there a while and will recommend some one to best fit your needs. He was extremely professional and nice!

I have frequented many beauty salons and spas so i feel I can give a well rounded review of this one. For those who don't want to read the entire review: although other reviewers praise this as a Hair Salon, it is not good for much else, so save yourself time, money, and aggravation and head over to the Houstonian for a fancy spa day or go over to Leon Nails for a $20 mani/pedi (better customer service too). So...my sister and I went in for mani/pedis and massages for my birthday. It started a little oddly because they actually called my sister to ask if we could come in earlier because they had overbooked and we would be doing them a "favor". Ok, sure. Although we were scheduled to have our services at the same time, they took my sister in at least 30 min before me. Somehow though, my sister and I finished our massage at about the same time. I guess my massage was shortened up a bit to fit other customers in. Then my sister was called for her nails, but I had to wait another 30 min for my mani to begin. Finally i was called for my mani. The manicurist had just finished with the last customer, but did not get up to wash her hands or clean the instruments. I should have said something but i guess i just assumed the instruments were going to be clean because this was considered an "upscale spa." Next, we went for our pedis. I guess i was an inconvenience for the lady because she left during the pedi TWICE. Once to use the restroom (i think), but she was gone for 10 min and the other time her CELL PHONE rang and she just WALKED OFF! At this point i was mad...so was my sister...and even the other manicurist looked annoyed! Finally the "spa day" was done...but we still had to pay. Things just got worse there. The girl at the counter was very rude to us and also tried to charge my sister more than the quoted price (for what we later found out was actually not solar nails as promised!!). Needless to say i gave them a piece of my mind and left upset.

2 years and 2 kiddos later and my hair is gray as all get out with no style to it at all, then I sit in Kims (Doga? I think) chair, on recommendation from a friend! She starts playing with my hair, tossing this way and that, asking questions about my lifestyle & personality...then tells me what she thinks I should do and I let her go. I love my new cut and color, it is better than I ever thought it could look. I feel young again! : )

I can finally and honestly say that this is the first time (throughout my 7 years of residence in Houston) that i've been throughly content with a haircut.
The service is unbelievable. Their styilists definitely know how to satisfy your requets, regardless of the nature, or how specific they are. If you're searching for a conservative-old school barber style haircut, this would be the place to go. Excellent environment too. Higly recommended, needless to say.

This spa uses the latest techniques for disinfecting their equipment, something I really like. The massage chairs are nice and you can relax and get a top notch pedicure that is safe and beautifully executed. I have had my ups and downs with the hair dressers, but overall, they do a pretty good job. The massages are really well done, clean and comfortable rooms. Overall, this is a good operation all around.

I absolutely love my hair. But, the best part is getting it done. I have been a loyal client to Ms.Kimberly Steffen for quite a while now and she has never disappointed me. I go in, tell her how i want my hair, and she gets it done ABOVE expectaions. I'm so glad i have such a trusted hairstylist. I am a bit of a rocker chick and when i asked her to do my hair in a rockin' fashion she did the best cut. I got so many compliments on my hair the next day. Just recently she has high-lighted some of my hair, and she put some blue in, at my request. Lets just say, i dont think i have even loved my hair so much. Stylish cut, Great color. What more can a person ask for. She also keeps a conversation going so its not one of those boring, quiet, awkard, sit and wait for your hair to be finished kinda deals. I was really scared when I found out that Jim left Norris to work across the street at Tranquility. When it comes to my extensions and color I wouldn't let anyone else handle the job. I was flying in for and appointment all the way from Washington D.C to see J.R amd found out that he left. Norris was kind enough to offer someone else to take care of my service but I flew a great distance to have this guy get a hold of me again. He did such a great job on my hair before that it was worth hunting him down. I panicked of course and the girls were so wonderful to me and let me know where he was. Alot of salons would not be so nice but I think the Norris clan stepped up to the plate because they care for their employees. They went above and beyond helping me find a truly gifted hairdresser. Thanks to the frontdesk.

I was on the internet looking for a new stylist and I found Jim through his wedding website and CitySearch. My hair was completely hideouse to start with from some pretty bad experiences which included color and cuts....I haven't been able to find anyone who understood what I really wanted. I probably went to at least 7 people till I landed in Jim's chair. He listened to me and advised me on what I needed done. I had a late appointment and he said that we would have to have alot more time and that I would need to reschedule. I told him that I coulndn't face my husband again looking the way that I was. I think he felt sorry for me and he smiled and decided to stay late. I do not know how he did it, but this guy knows his stuff...especially when I found out that he educates for a color group, I knew I was in great hands and I didn't have to worry a bit. He amazingly fixed my color, gave me the best cut I probably have had by far and made me feel like a million dollars......my husband will not let me go to anyone else. This is a really busy place and I had to make a late appointment, I kinda felt bad keeping him after a long day..be sure to book early. What is crazy is he goes to work at 7:30 in the morning so he is always available. Definite reasons to see Jim!

I have been there before for a manicure and some of my clients that work with me came into town so i wanted to treat them to a day at the spa. When i called in to make several diffrent appointments for about 10 people the receptionist named Jumana was very helpful with making it possible with our time schedule that we had. Even the day when we came in she was right on top of things and made sure everything was running smoothly and made our visit there so much more welcoming. She also referred Gil for my hair and Selyna for my microdemabrasions and i'm so glad that she was the one i got to speak to because they were wonderful and made me look and feel like a brand new person.If you are planning on going there ask for Jumana she will make sure you get the best experience possible with the best stylists at Norris!!

Jim Robeson is an amazing and talented artist. No matter how your hair looks before you visit him, it will look fabulous after your visit. Jim has been taking care of my hair for almost 10 years. Before finding Jim, I probably had a new hairstylist every four months. With Jim, cuts are always the right length. My hair seems to go effortlessly where it is supposed to. Color is natural and perfect. His styling of hair is simply amazing. This guy has a magic touch with hair. Jim can give you a haircut or style as simple as you want or as complex as you want. There is an ease about him when he works with hair that inspires a lot of confidence; for me it is an indication of excellent training. Because of my job, I travel a lot. I feel I waste my money everytime I need to get a style with somebody else. There is no comparison with what Jim does. When my mom is in town, she insists on visiting Jim. Jim can set her hair in a way that beats what she can get in Europe at the very best salons.

I am 50 years old with thinning fine hair. After trying seven different hair stylists, I finally found Angela Payne, an incredibly skilled artist. Now, I get compliments from people about my hair--me, with hair so thin and fine, I feel at times like I'm bald! I won't let anyone else touch my hair. Furthermore, I love her hair care products! I just can't recommend her enough!

The rest of the Norris of Houston staff are wonderful, too. The ladies who shampoo will make you feel pampered and the front desk staff are fun and helpful.

Jim Robeson has cut and colored my hair for the past seven years, and he is amazing. I have medium-long hair and when Jim cuts it, it never looks chopped, and my color always looks natural. And my husband likes him, because he's never tried to convince me to chop my hair off. He loves long hair!

I ran a successful wedding photography business for five years, and exclusively recommended Jim to my Houston brides. He takes the time to look at each woman's face and to speak with her about her preferences. Then he styles her hair perfectly...as well as appropriately for the style of her dress and the level of formality of her wedding. His up-do's are incredibly elegant, and he understands loose, romantic, flowing bridals styles, as well, and creates them superbly. Every style he's done for my brides has lasted through the entire wedding with no re-pinning or additional spraying.

Jim Robeson is the best when it comes to working with hair. He is excellent with short or long hair, color, style, or anything else pertaining to hair. Setting examples by performance this guy knows his colors, he obviously uses one of the best brands on the market and is a tech advisor at that! I happened to go to another salon and my hair was turned several shades of orange and yellow, they spent 4 hours and left me looking pretty bad. Jim took a look at me and said he could fix the whole mess.....brave undertaking, he fixed my hair and I have not been to anyone else or have had anyone touch my hair except for Jim. I recommend him highly. Jim has always trained and is always coming up with new things especially when it comes to updos and colors.....give him a shout if your around. I found his site weddingstlylisthouston and it had lots of pictures posted of his work. I recently had my color done and was amazed to watch him handle client after client, and breeze through the amazing hairstyles. Norris has a very nice facilty. Lots of art and buyable stuff. The staff is friendly.

Horrible facial, terrible job, hurt and stretched my face. Did not consult with me about any products, did not advice me about anything. I asked a question and she got an attitude trying to answer and seemed to be quite evasive. I don't beleive she does Norris any justice. I have had my hair cut in salons in 4 continents, but Jim does it the best and I am glad that he works in the city that I call home. Norris of Houston is a wonderful place to go and pamper yourself. Norris has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. I have never had to wait long for anything, and there services are top notch. I really couldn't ask more of a salon. They have everything I need!

I personally would highly recommend their make up artist Donna Abate. She has been doing my make up for years. She is excellent! She not only makes you look beautiful, but feel beautiful. She just sent me an email and gave me the step by step instructions on how to do the smokey eye and the classic eye make up applications. She also has sent out monthly emails, informing her clients on discounts and make-up tips. Invaluable! I really can't say enough about Donna Abate and her work. Norris is lucky to have such a great talent.

Makeup artist Donna is wonderful! Having rarely worn makeup previously, I was nervous about lessons. Donna put me at ease, applied my makeup and then taught me to apply it. Her techniques make my makeup application last all day, something I never accomplished before. I never have to worry about reapplying it during the day. She has reasonably priced products that look great on my skin. I go to her now for color updates and to see new application styles. I absolutely trust her eye for color and sense of style. She keeps me up to date and looking professional.

The only reason I moved to Norris is because of stylist, Jim Robeson. My daughters and I have followed Jim around town for fifteen years - he even went to my daughter's wedding in Wyoming -- couldn't have survived without him. His cutting is superior and his knowledge of coloring is unmateched. Doesn't matter what kind of hair you have - he can make it perfect. Hi "updo's" really are special. We would follow him anywhere but we love going to Norris -- such a fun atmoshphere.

I have been to quite a few salons, as most women have, trying to find the best hair stylist in Houston, along with great service. Finally I have found it. Gil Guedes is wonderful!!!! He knows exactly what I want done with my hair and can't be any sweeter of a person to chat with. I can't recommend Gil enough to the women in Houston. He is very busy though so, make sure to call ahead for an appointment. I did and the receptionists were kind to be patient and work me into Gil's schedule. Furthermore, the atmosphere of the salon is truly inviting. The second you walk through the front door, the front desk girls are quick to welcome you in. They really made me feel special and important, catering to my every question and making sure I was comfortable. They were extremely knowledgable about my hair and what product I needed to keep it healthy. They seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say and we ended up talking for about 10 minutes about nothing! It was fun! Everyone at the salon makes you feel at home and that really made my visit all the more fun!

Went to see Hector for a full head of corrective color lowlights. I told him what the problem was, and he actually listened to me, and seemed as if he was understanding what I wanted. He recommended a process, and proceeded from there. He took his time, did not rush me, or his work, and it showed in the end. The color was absolutely perfect (one complaint, he did miss some of the grays in the front of my head, but I realize it's tough with lowlights to catch them all).

He recommended a good product, which I have enjoyed so far. He even gave me the remainder of the styling creme he used for free! I am leaving the area, but if and when I return, he will be the first person I see for touching up.

Although he was a bit tooo talkative at times. As a professional, work is draining. Sometimes you just want to sit back, relax and read a cheesy magazine and NOT think for a while.

The girls at the front desk, however, were ditzy and rude.

I went to get a burma (shampoo massage) from gina this weekend.. and oh my goodness. I didn't know there was so much sensation on my scalp. I felt tingling like I'd never felt before. Her hands are both strong and gentle knowing when to go harder and when to slow it down. Her massage relieved so much tension; I have been walking around with a smile all day. Managment does not follow through with legitimate complaints. They promise they will take care of the problem, and get back to you, but they don't. Disinterested. One hairdresser, in particular, is an embarrassment to his profession. Hotheaded, nasty, uninformed, etc. He needs to learn manners and people skills. Norris has too much "STUFF." Everything is for sale, over the top, junky.

When I moved to Houston over a year ago, I was afraid I would never find quality spa and salon services, like I had where I lived before. I was wrong. Tamara is a magician with nails (all 20!), and Selyna keeps my face (including stubborn rosacea) glowing. She knows her products and her technique is very professional. Now that Justin has moved there, I am no longer "salon-shopping" for someone who can color and tame my wavy, frizzy (especially in Houston's humidity) hair. Don't leave without spending some time looking through Sandy's selection of fashion jewelry -- it's THE BEST!

Donna is THE BEST. She did my wedding make up and all my bridesmaids. Everyone looked gorgeous! Everytime she does my make up I get so many compliments. The greatest part has been taking lessons from her. She taught me exactly how to put it on myself the way she does. I love going each season and having her "spruce me up with new fun colors. I will never go to anyone else again. TRY HER OUT!

I have been a client of Selyna for over a year and I refuse to go anywhere else. She has always explained everything she does to my skin and recommends home treatments and care without pushing products. Her facials are wonderful and take years off my skin. She is always attentive, respectful, and professional in her job. Thanks Selyna!!

I have been a client of Selyna's for about 3 years. The facials that I have had with Selyna has been very soothing, and the effect has been amazing. Her manners are impecable.... her explanations helpful and complete. I followed her from another salon.

Donna performed an exceptional job with my make-up for my bridal portrait and wedding. She did an amazing job on my mother and sister. The make-up looked very natural and lasted the whole night on my wedding day. I even cried and the make-up still looked good. I have to say, at the end of the evening my make-up looked just as good as it did at the beginning.
I have received a make-up lesson for my birthday! I can't wait!

The spa is beautiful, I love the hair and nail section. However the facials and massage are not so good. The massage was light and not beneficial. The facial was a waste of money; Selina the esthetician is not that good, she is rough and snobbish. she did not explain anthing and came across as a know it all. The pedicure was terrific. The front desk girl was sort of rude, but I guess she was busy.

Donna handled all the makeup for our big wedding day and she was right on when we saw the photos! Her product is also very well priced and she will ask you to bring in what you already have and helps to fill in with product. I have never been offered to do that and was completely surprised!

Janis for hair styling spends a lot of time to make sure your hair will look good in this Houston humidity.

The Salon prodycts are well priced and they only carry the very best. I love my hair products and would never change a thing!

Have not tried a facial, but have purchased purses and jewelry from Sandy Chaskin's Boutique! Styke without breaking the bank!

Love the that place!

Selyna does a fantastic facial. She has great technique and knows her products. I've also had a massage and hair, nails, and makeup done. I've been very happy with all of the services I've tried. If you have time to kill, the boutique has some nice jewelry. All in all, a good all-around full service salon.

The whole ambiance is wonderful, the boutique section is gorgeous, the makeup is stunning, everything is great EXCEPT the facials. I did not enjoy my facial there, it was way too rough, she stretched my delicate skin right out of its place. I'm older and have fragile thin skin, and the facialist did not treat it well at all. The hair salon is terrific, and I had the best pedicure ever.

I had a facial there last Saturday, I was the first client of the day. It was HORRIBLE. I received NO consultation, no questions were asked and no explanations were given. The facialist thought that she was the best, when in reality she must have known that is the worst. The massage was awful, very rough and inefficient. I left with swollen eye sockets and sore bones. Will not recommend facials there at all.

I went to this spa this week, for a haircut, and then a facial. The haircut was good. Staff was nice. Then, I got a facial. The esthetician was so rough with my face! She didn't seem to know what she was doing. She didn't tell me what she was using on my skin, and didn't recommend any home care(which I was ready to buy up to $300 dollars worth to take home). She used products on my skin that made me breakout! Her massage was HORRIBLE! My face is still sore!
Hair, yes! Face, don't waste your$!!!

I won't have anyone else cut my hair. Gina recently moved to Norris, so I followed. This place is sweet! They offer all you expect from a spa in a eclectic enviroment. It's the first time I've been offered a scotch while getting a haircut. Go for the haircut, stay for the shampoo massage!
