I love this place. They are the best. My manicures and pedicures last longer than any other place I have been too. They are super clean. I usually request Emma, she is the best!

miss the old days

by ggirlchacha

I started going here when it first opened (3 years ago?). Back then, I recommended IPS every chance I got because it was such a treat - relaxing, great customer service, awesome selection of pedicures. Now, however, I hesitate to recommend it to anyone because the last few times I've gone I've left feeling a bit fleeced. Maybe my expectation of what a $68 pedicure experience should be is unrealistic, but I should at least feel like I had a nice, relaxing hour (hour-ish, really) instead of feeling rushed and tense ( I had to contort my body in the booth in order to have a manicure and pedicure at the same time). I never know the name of my technician because she seems way too busy to bother with that detail. I've taken my daughter and her friends there several times for princess pedi and manis, but I probably won't again because the last time I found out afterwards that the technician basically manhandled my daughter throughout the entire session and was flat out rude to her. I miss the old days!!

Pros: cool selection of pedicures

Cons: overpriced

say no thanks to acrylics

by sweettxgirl

Absolutly love this spa, its very relaxing and oh so pretty & the people are very sweet ,however , I would NOT recommend getting a manicure here !!!! Absolute waste of money , you can go anywhere else for the quality they give on acrylic nails , and pay much much less !!! I paid $70 for a horrible nail job!!! HORRIBLE ! The pedicure was AWESOME and well worth the money. Please take my advice and DONT waste your money.... but do try other services on their menu....

Pros: lovely atmosphere

Cons: Horrible acrylic nails

best waxing ever

by leslie1212

My friend told me about this place because she normally gets her waxing service here. I wanted to find somewhere to get some waxing done since it was my first time recieving a bikinni wax. She told me to ask for Shelly because she fast and friendly. I made an appiontment with the receptionest, who was very pleasent to talk to. I did had some trouble finding parking but i figure because it was Saturday noon. I checked in and sat down for 2-3 mins. Shelly came and escort me to this lovely room for waxing. She asked what service I wanted and if I was sensitive to any wax products. She made me feel comfortable and adsure it will be quick and less painful. She talked to me during the session so that I am drawn away from the pain of waxing. I was in and out in less than 30 mins. I am very please with the service at Ilse Pedispa and absolutely coming back for more services!

Pros: friendly, clean, very professsional

Cons: parking

AMAZING MANI/PEDI!!

by uptowngirl123

this place is absoloutely amazing..everyone tells me its usually always busy but on black friday i figured everyone would be shopping so i called and got in for both my mom and i!! from the outside it doesnt look like anything more than a corner nail salon. once you get inside they took us to our own private room for 2 people..it was so nice there was a plasma tv, served us drinks, we were on a big couch. it is VERY EXPENSIVE. it ended up being $225 for 2 manicures and 2 pedicures. i wish i could come every weekend its just too expensive :-(

Pros: friendly staff, wonderful service

Cons: very expensive

Won't go anywhere else in Houston

by nixnix

I started going here about a year and a half ago- after reading all the great reviews. I've ALWAYS been so very happy with my manicures and pedicures here. Everyone is so polite [and employees only speak in English while working, which, sorry if that sounds rude- but I find that to be way more respectful of clients].
It's true about the Mimosas. That's another reason i'm getting up this early on a Saturday to go get a mani/pedi. Last time I was there was the last week of August- and i'm not one that takes really good care of her toes- and my pedicure is still there! [yes, it doesn't look GREAT anymore, but it's 7 WEEKS later!]
I've never needed to go back for chip repair- because everything has lasted so long. Only complaint- is that the last time- there was a client who was on her cell phone the whole time- which I found to be very disrespectful [wish they would put a sign up- and that the world would learn some manners]- but that's not their fault. They do have more private rooms in the back, that you might be able to request. Anyways, I love love love this place- it's so clean, and they have great customer service. You could get cheaper mani/pedis elsewhere- but you'd probably be lacking in professionalism, cleanliness, comfort [personal tvs, warm neck pillows, whatever you want to drink at no extra charge!], and a lot more. For what you get, it's well worth it if not a bargain.

Pros: Long lasting, great value, comfort, professional, CLEAN

Cons: NONE the business... just wish clients would know it's rude to blab on your cell phone when people around you are in relax mode!

BEEN COMING HERE FOR 5 YEARS NOW AND LOVING IT. THE GIRLS TAKE SUCH GOOD CARE OF ME AND THE FRONT DESK IS AMAZING. THEY HAVE PEDICURES RANGING FROM $28 AND UP. THERE IS A PRICE RANGE FOR EVERYONE SO I DO NOT THINK THEY ARE OVERPRICED. TRUST AND COMFORT IS SO IMPORTANT TO ME WHEN IT COMES TO MY FEET. I LOVE IT HERE!

GREAT PEDI !!!

by amilano1

I had a wonderful pedicure. My girlfriend got me a gift certificate for a pedicure and almost didn't use it. When I found out it was a $50 gift certificate, I did not want to waste it. I have never had someone spend a whole hour on my feet! It was such a thorough pedicure and my feet were so soft. I now realize that my 20 minutes pedis at those corner shops for $25 are actually expensive because it does not compare to what I got here. Plus they have like 500 colors to choose from!!!

Pros: thorough, sanitary, friendly

Pros: Excellent service, professional staff, and great expierence

Cons: Expensive, most pedicures are over $60 for 1 hour.

LOVED THE PEDICURE!!!!!

by pickeeaters

MY DOCTOR WAS THE ONE WHO RECOMMENDED ME TO COME TO THIS PLACE. I JUST HAD SURGERY A FEW MONTHS AGO ON MY FEET AND HE TOLD ME THAT THIS PLACE WOULD BE CLEAN AND GENTLE TO MY EVERY NEED AND BOY WAS HE RIGHT. I FELT RELAXED AND NOT IN A CLINIC FOR ONCE AND THE PLACE SMELLS JUST WONDERFUL. I'M SO GLAD THAT THEY KNOW ABOUT THE DIFFERENT MUSCLES ON YOUR FEET AND THE DIFFERENT SURGERIES THAT PEOPLE CAN HAVE. IT WAS LIKE GETTING REHAB FOR MY FEET AND THEY FELT GOOD AND THEY LOOK GREAT WHEN THEY WERE DONE! IT'S BEEN A WEEK AND THEY STILL LOOK GREAT! THEY DEFINITELY MADE A NEW CLIENT. EVERYONE SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THEIR FEET AND EVERYONE SHOULD LET THEM DO IT! THEY DO A FANTASTIC JOB!

Pros: DOCTOR RECOMMENDED!

Best Place for Pedicures!!!!!!!

by escobar82

I'm so glad that they opened one in sugarland I have to tell everyone about it! I went and the girls offered me a neckwrap, a glass of wine and I was in heaven! I was so relaxed. I got the mojito pedicure, and I was so surprised that the girls are so knowledgable about what they do. I guess anyone can do nails, but when you know about what you're doing, it made me feel ten times more comfortable coming here. Some people say that they're too expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. It's better then when you go to one of those places in a hotel resort!! Now those places are expensive...The service here is excellent, the pedicure is impecable, the ammenities are great and the people are incredible. If it's anywhere to get your hands and feet pampered, it's this place!!!

Pros: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

clean but overpriced

by junniesky

Pedicure- very impressive facility (clean and you get to watch TV during the service). However, I dont think I pay for the service I wanted. First of all, I wasnt offer the neck wrap nor headphone for TV. Second of all, I dont think I got that 15 minutes intense massage as described on menu.

Manicure- They did my manicure and pedicure at the same time. And didnt ask me to move to where I can place my hands on. (there is a little table on left side of me and I was sitting on right side for pedicure). Anyhow, I end up putting my hands on a pillow that's placed on my lap for manicure. I was bleeding when removing my cuticle on my thumb and moving my feet at the same time (because my pedicure technician asked me to switch leg). She didnt ask me what kind of manicure I want. So I end up having the basic. Although I was looking for nail art or prehaps french (but I guess that wasnt an option for me ?!??).

Over all, it is a great facility with somewhat below average service. And I spend almost $100 in less than an hour.

Overpriced for the products and service

by maruko

The spa itself is neat and clean. However, maybe it is almost closing time, the technicians did not do a good job on pedicure, nor menicure. I feel that they just want to rush and wrap up the work quickly.
The service was compromised and I did not feel like I got the service and nail care for how much I paid for.
And I did not feel like I got the massage that it advertised on the menu, I'd think twice before I go to this spa.

Pros: Ambience and cleanliness

Cons: service was mediocre

BAD BAD BAD

by hhk

This salon is overpriced...... the service we got is not like what it says on it's menu. They didn't ask us what manicure we want to get..... so they did the basic one, but charged us the "French Manicure". The manu said the pedicure service is 1 hour (the one we paid for), but the actual service was only 40 minutes. Who can tell me why??????

Pros: no bad smell

Cons: not honest

Most amazing pedicure choices

by skilover

I have been using Isle Pedi Spa for a little over 3 years now and have never been disappointed in the services that I recieved. They are very clean and I feel like they know what they are doing. I don't know what the person before me was thinking because this place is great... far better than any other in town. All of the employees speak very good english and pay close attention to their customers. I think the person before me is just a little too picky and cant figure out why she was not happy. This place has always treated me wonderfully and I would recommend it to all!

Overpriced and some technicians are rude

by awp

I went to the Isle PediSpa because of the great reviews and I needed to find a place that put an emphasis on cleanliness. This salon is very clean and the technicians are highly skilled, but I was not offered an herbal neck wrap, nor was I asked if I wanted to watch TV or listen to the CD player. It was my first time so I didn't know about all of this and was disappointed they didn't treat me like everyone else.

My manicurist, Shelley, was extremely efficient at trimming my cuticles but her attitude left something to be desired. She seems to judge everyone and talks about other clients and made me feel uncomfortable because I am not a parent of three like she is. My pedicurist, LaTanya, was fabulous and lovely. She gave the most relaxing foot and leg massage, and did a good job on my toenails.

Despite my telling both of them that my polish doesn't stay on for more than a day, neither one of them recommended any products nor did they tell me about the no-chip guarantee. Of course, my nails chipped the day after I got my manicure and who on earth has the time to go back to West U to get their nails (that just chipped after spending a fortune) polished again? I mean this is stupid, if they chipped after a day, and hypothetically I go back the next day to get them re-polished, then they'll probably just chip again, the day after that. why not just use a product that is no-chip?

I also asked about gel and acrylic nails and Shelley said they do solar nails. I asked her what that was but she couldn't even describe it nor did she know what gel nails were even though it's listed on their 'menu.'

The basic pedicure is $38, and a basic manicure is $24 - this place is not cheap and they try to get you to buy a more expensive mani/pedi which I thought was annoying. They do ask their clients if they want to keep their nail files since the salon doesn't re-use them. They are sanitary and the atmosphere is lovely, but they're way too expensive.

Pros: Very sanitary, excellent skill level, nice atmosphere

Cons: Some of the staff is rude, they are expensive and they didn't offer a neck wrap or TV to me

Amazing manicures and pedicures!

by kspsnow

The best place to go in Houston for manicures and pedicures. You feel like you are on a tropical vacation every time you go to Isle Pedispa. You have so many choices as to the type of soak and lotion you prefer. They are all excellent! It is a very, very clean environment. They sterilize all instruments - just like in a medical environment. All the staff is friendly - seem to genuinely care about your experience. I love the private alcoves - you can watch your own private tv. They always offer a beverage and a heated neck wrap. You can also request the private suite where you and a guest can sit in private, watch tv, read magazines, or just catch up on gossip! My husband reluctantly joined me for his first manicure and pedicure (in the suite.) He loved it!! My daughter-in-law is hoping they will put an Isle Pedispa in Austin.

Pros: Friendliness, Cleanliness, Tropical Experience without going to beach

Cons: parking on Saturdays

Best pedicure I've ever had!

by bham1

Isle Pedi Spa is amazing! The technicians there are the best! I go to Isle from time to time to have a pedicure and just relax. The atmosphere is unlike any other nail place I've ever been to and I would never go anywhere else ever again. Isle offers pedicures of different kinds; it's fun to try a new one each time I come! I love being able to relax in my own cubicle with a warm neck wrap, glass of wine and my own personal tv. The receptionists are so helpful! They greet you at the door and are truly there to make sure your visit is top notch. I was so suprised when I had my first spedicure here. It was better than I had expected and my polish stayed forever! Every pedicure since has been just as good if not better! I dont usually request a nail tech beacause each of the girls are highly trained and very skilled!! I trust anyone at Isle because they are awesome! Getting an appointment on the weekends is sometimes tricky, so I book way in advance. The weekends are also pretty busy but thats a good thing! If so many people are trying to get into Isle I can be sure their work is worth it! Although I have never done this I have seen people have pedicure parties at Isle. What a good idea!! People bring food and drinks and the receptionists were there to help with anything else they needed! I absolutely love Isle Pedi Spa! I can honestly say that their pedicures are the best pedicures I've ever had! I recommend this place to everyone! My husband even comes in and has a pedicure too! I had to talk him into it, but once he came the first time he was hooked. He loves it almost as much as i do! We're so glad to have found something so out of the ordinary!

Pros: Atmosphere, Nail Techs, and Best Services Ever!!

Uncomfortable and a bit of a letdown

by danyjane

After reading the glowing reviews of this place, I have to say in some respects I was quite disappointed. Yes, the place is spotlessly clean and yes, the receptionist is very friendly. Yes, the technician is competent, and yes, they did their best. I will also sing praises for the foot massage which was lovely.

Also, yes, the place is pretty and I do like the private cubicles, the glass of juice, the headphones and the private TV. In addition, they have the most extensive color selection for nail polish I have ever seen. But really, how many different shades of shell pink are there? Once applied to your toes, the subtle differences are lost and they all look pretty much the same.

HOWEVER. Any place I have every gone that offers spa pedicures also offers the client a comfortable recliner-like massage chair. Isle Pedi-Spa puts you on a narrow bench. There is just a wall behind you and two cushions which, if used, allow any woman with a reaonably ample bottom very little sitting space. There is no back support of any kind. If you have back problems this is a good place to avoid. I ended up taking my nice warm neck wrap and using it to support and protect my lower spine.

All in all, I went with an idea of treating myself to a bit of luxury on my vacation. I ended up with nicely painted toes, a backache and the feeling that a $62 pedicure ought to offer more than just rose petals and cheap champagne in the water.

Pros: Lovely Atmosphere, privacy, friendly staff

Cons: Uncomfortable seating, feeling of insufficient value for money

GREAT PLACE FOR A GREAT PEDICURE

by emsteph

Been coming here for years and loving it. It is very clean and has a friendly staff. I feel safe and secure without worries about sanitation issues. I too use to love the spa chairs, but hearing all those horrible stories of dirty whirlpool water totally grosses me out. I swear to not get my pedicures in one of those chairs and Isle PediSpa has my solution. My toes and feet always look great when I leave this place. And my polish lasts long! Thanks Isle

Pros: clean, thorough, friendly

Best manicures/pedicures in Houston...& amazing Receptionists!

by MissPing

I first discovered Isle PediSpa a little over a year ago, and since my first visit I have refused to go anywhere else. This place is absolutely perfect in every possible way: service, atmosphere, cleanliness, knowledge/professionalism of staff, and the best customer service I've seen anywhere. I know that regardless of which service I get, or which technician I use, I know that I am going to be more than satisfied--completely THRILLED--with the experience. Every single technician is polite, friendly, gentle, experienced, and completely focused on the customer. More than the manicures & pedicures, I feel completely at home at Isle PediSpa. As soon as I enter I am greeted by the smiling and adorable receptionists. Once I am in my private cubicle, I am offered a beverage and a warm neckwrap--talk about relaxing! Then I can put on my personal headphones and watch my own flat-screen TV...but most of the time I enjoy just conversing with my technician. For those who complain that it is difficult to get an appointment: OF COURSE IT IS! It is the best in Houston, so of course everyone wants an appointment there! And even still, the amazing receptionists are always incredibly polite and try their hardest to help you make an appointment. They are a delight! And, once you have been in a few times (like myself), the receptionists remember my name, face, and which technician & services I always get. I have introduced countless friends and family members to Isle, and every single person had a rave review and has come back. The pedicure parties are the best idea and perfect for any occasion! I have used them for work parties and bridal/baby showers. And the private pedicure suites are to die for! You couldn't PAY me to go anywhere else!!

Pros: staff, receptionists, ambience, service

Cons: NOTHING

Best pedi ever!

by TSab

I drove over 50 miles one way to try this spa. I was not disappointed. The website was very informational and allowed me to make my choice of pedicure before I arrived. And when I say choice - about 30 to choose from! I went with a friend - so we were treated to a private room with 2 spa chairs, TV, magazines , iced tea and two of the friendliest, knowledgable technicials ever. The atmosphere was serene and quite relaxing. Most nail places rush you through - not Hannah. I received a full hour of pampering. I chose the pedissage so I could be treated to a 15 minute foot massage after my pedicure. This was the best pedicure experience I've every had. I'm going back and I'm going to try a different pedicure option every time!

Pros: Atmosphere, cleanliness, knowledgable technicians

Cons: A little pricey

Isle Pedi Spa

by shanon157

I started going to Isle Pedi Spa based on my podiatrist's recommendation. She told me how she likes the fact that they use autoclave to clean the utensils. What she didn't tell me about was the atmosphere. It is always a pleasant experience. When I arrive the owner and some of the receptionists not only greet me by name, but they know I am getting the cucumber pedi for my rough feet, and I only go about every other week! They offer you drinks and a neck wrap, and you can watch t.v. in your own personal cubicle. I love the fact that they are open 7 days a week. Also, they are very accomodating especially when you bring guests with you. They often put you in a suite if there are just two of you, or they put you close together if there are more than 2. I have going about 3 years now. They keep a history of your visit on the back of your bill, so you can look at who serviced you last if it wasn't your regular person, and what kind of products you purchased. Every year I bring a friend or two and they love it. I treat another friend of mine for her birthday in January and she says her polish lasts for months. I know mine does. I absolutely love this place!

Pros: Atmosphere, service, products.

Cons: A little pricey, but you pay for what you get.

most loyal client!

by 09mzelle

I've been coming to Isle Pedispa since the day they've opened and I am so excited to hear that they're opening one near my home. These girls work their butts off. I usually have my standing on the weekends when big parties come in, doesn't bother me one bit because they work right through it and it's a good atmosphere to see everyone having a good time. I can't believe the person below was that angry about them...they have very good to customer service, at least they called you back right away, most places would just ignore you and wouldn't even give you the time or day, and PRINCESSES ARE LITTLE GIRLS DUH! baby hands equals a baby price. I've even paid my late, no show fees or cancellation because I know I reserve their time. Therefore, I am most loyal to this great place and the people in it! I love you girls, see you on saturday!

Poor Customer Service

by jensterx

Mimosa and croissants on Saturdays? They weren't offered and I didn't see anyone else in the spa with one either..

When I went to pay, the receptionist asked if I'd had the Isle Manicure and I replied No, just the Princess buff and polish. I was talking to a friend while checking out (my own fault) and didn't pay attention to the fact that I was still charged for the Isle Mani. I called the next day to resolve the issue and was told the Princess Mani is only for ages 12 and under. I don't see that posted anywhere on their site. Had I been told that I was being charged for the Isle Mani regardless, I would have spent the extra 10 minutes and gotten the cuticle work, the mango peel, the massage, etc. BUT I didn't receive any of those services. The receptionist spoke with the nail tech and did call me back, but the tech said the only difference in what I received and the Isle Mani was the cuticle work. I beg to differ. For $24 I could have bought a new bottle of OPI, buffed and polished my own nails several times over.

Shame because I thougth the salon was clean, beautiful and the wax technician was wonderful. My advice is to check your bill and not pay for any services you didn't receive.

Pros: Ambience

Cons: Poor Customer Service, Deceptive Charges

I went here for my first manicure based on the reviews on Citysearch, and I was not disappointed. I play the violin, so I always cut my nails short. However, I wanted a nice manicure for my wedding, so I grew out my nails for a couple weeks and headed to Isle Pedispa. I was nervous since my coworker was telling me horror stories about bleeding cuticles, but not here! The manicurist did my nails exactly how I wanted. It wasn't painful at all, and I even got a nice arm and hand massage. I will definitely be coming back to do my nails for special occasions. I am even tempted to try the pedicure one day.

Pros: Ambience and service

Just a Question...

by escalade2011

I just wanted to know how the pedicure chairs, pedicures, and cubicles are like at this place before going so that I won't regret anything. So, if you've been to this place, please share.

By Far The Best......

by hellobeautiful

I am from Miami and occasionally get the opportunity to fly into Houston for business. Isle PediSpa was highly recommended by the concierge at my hotel I was staying at back in 2005. Although I only travel to Houston a few times a year, I would highly recommend anyone who is seeking for professional nail care treatment to visit this facility. The staff is by far phenomenal!!!!!!! They are highly educated; not the typical nail salon at the corner.

Pros: Location, Sanitary

Overall, great, but could use just a couple improvements.

by maryjatkinson

Had a great time getting a pedicure and manicure - very nice facilities and decor, approachable staff, etc. My only tips, in comparison with other pedispas:

*Refill the wine glass when it's empty.
*Better presentation of the foot soaks (the dumping of a little tub of colored bath salt stuff didn't quite compare to the description of "Like a gently breaking wave on a tropical island beach, a peachy Isle Soak of herbal green tea delicately softens the skin and rinses away impurities. A mango peel rich with alpha hydroxy acids (AHA's) exfoliates. After some sole smoothing, a light moisturizing massage of papaya and green tea lotion makes you wish you never had to leave"). Plus, I'm pretty sure I didn't get the mango peel...
*I know this would be an investment, but massage chairs make ALL the difference.

Again, overall, the experience was good. Just not the BEST I've ever had.

Pros: Nice decor and staff.

Cons: Not the BEST pedicure/massage ever, but still very good.

Great pedicures for a reasonable price.

by nancyrogers

I love what I get here. Usually I go to places where I pay 40.00 and they just put stuff on me, speak in different tongues that I don't understand and stare at me funny, but this place is awesome. The people here really do everything for your feet and legs. I love it. They explained to me what was being used and why. I love it when people know what they're doing. Excellent place.

Isle PediSpa is the hands down best in Houston!

by ddr14

By far the best pedicures in town. They have very clean facilities, friendly staff, and affordable prices. Instead of the jetted foot spas (which can harbor many germs) they have big copper basins for your feet, which are disenfected after every use, and all of the files are one time use only (you can leave with yours or else it is trashed). And the pedicures last for weeks because they use quality products. I highly recommend them to everyone!!

Pros: Very clean, affordable, great staff, great products

Cons: n/a

Best place for a pedicure ever!!

by prasberry

My children and grandchildren love this place. When they come to visit this is always the first place on the list of things to do. I am a regular and have never gotten a better pedicure - even from large, really expensive spa retreats. The flavored pedicure idea is wonderful. It is heavenly to have your legs wrapped in warm fragrant towels and your feet wrapped in aromatherapy parafin dip. And the reflexology on your feet is pure heaven. My polish never chips - I go once a month and they have to remove the polish. The stations are all very sanitary and staff is warm and friendly. This is the place to go for a relaxing, wonderful pampering.

Pros: Atmosphere, Service, Quality, Value

Cons: Limited Parking

My girlfriend could not be any happier

by tommysandwich

I have been in the habit of getting my girlfriend a day of pampering at the Isle for special occasions, and I do not think she could be any happier with any other gift. She always tells me how kind and helpful the staff is, and I must say that the place has a nice and fresh atmosphere when I pick her up. She is always glowing. Thank you, Isle!

Great pedicures!

by rcano312

I just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for the great service my mother received the day of her birthday! She loved the pedicure and I'm very glad that she was able to get away from her busy schedule and enjoy some much needed pampering. She told me all about her awesome pedicure and I definitely can't wait to go there myself...just a few more months!
Thanks for making everything go smoothly!

Amazing!!

by eyez

I have been going to Isle PediSpa for about five months now. I would just like to begin by saying right when you walk in the atmosphere is amazing! The staff greets you right when you walk in, makes one feel so conferrable. The spa is spotless and the thing that gets me the most is that all there supplies that they use on your feet and hands are sterilized and packaged neatly before it is used, and that is a plus for me. Not many spas you go to in Houston have these wonderful aspects and I recommend Isle PediSpa to everyone and I will continue you to go there for a very long time.

Pros: Atmosphere,Staff,Manicures & Pedicures, are amazing!

Cons: None!
