Message from The Kitchen Eatery, Bakery & Catering at Preston Trail in Dallas

The Kitchen is locally owned and operated by two ladies in North Dallas. In business for more than 10 years, this scrumptious restaurant offers catering for up to 3,000, wedding cakes as big as your imagination and delicious sandwiches and meatloaf. We're one of the few commercial kitchens that can cater home-cooked gourmet cuisine. Everything is made from scratch, including our popular homemade salad dressings: "Sweet and Sour" Oriental house dressing and "Apple Cider Vinaigrette." Both salad dressings are sold by the bottle at The Kitchen. The Kitchen serves up an array of lunch and dinner choices: half-sandwiches, nachos, mini burgers, chicken salad as well as California turkey wraps. All to-go entrees are packaged family style, so you could have a home cooked meal waiting for you. Come to The Kitchen, where the menu changes monthly, and taste the recipe of the month.

Great write up for the dallas morning news

by yogieo

I have enjoyed lunches at the kitchen, 17370 Preston Rd, since they opened. The salads can not be beat and the entres are simply more that I can ever finish in one sitting. One of my favorite restaurants in Dallas because it;s just that 'ole fashioned cooking' . The ladies that own this comfort food restaurant are just delightful and always make you feel more than welcome. If you know someone at the Dallas morning news that is looking for a good restaurant food writeup, give them a call. This is a perfect breakfast, lunch or early dinner restaurant.

Pros: Fantastic lunches

Cons: none

My sweet Kitchen Catering company... how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

1.) Smoked Turkey Catered
2.) Bleu Cheese crumbly goodness Catering to you
3.) Apples, catered
4.) Candied Pecans, catered
5.) Dried Cranberries on catering menu
6.) Cider Vinaigrette a must for caterers
7.) Green Onions fresh on the catering menu
8.) Purple Onions, yep catered
9.) Romaine Lettuce, fresh and catered to your needs

1 - 9 = -8, but if you add 18, then you get 10, which is what I give the salad all the above ingredients make on the catering menu: The... drum roll please... SMOKED TURKEY SALAD! TA-DAAAAAAAA! Okay, so the name doesn't do the salad justice, but I'm telling you it's amazing, so believe me. If you are looking for a cater in dallas you have found it! You can get this

Are you expensive? Yes, you absolutely are ( a little). Are you worth it? Mmm... probably the best cater in dallas. $10.00 for this salad that feeds two people or feeds me for two meals... not too shabby. Your cupcakes are delectable, your $5.00 slices of cake... well, let's admit it... it's a bit expensive, but it's something for a special occasion and it's HUGELY delicious. The interior is very cozy, warm colors, somewhat whimsical, quotes in large print on your walls... yes, yes, this is just the type of place I could consider a home away from home. Candlelight... give me a pipe and some writing utensils and I very well may become the next big name in existentialist philosophies. I get lost in thought, but mostly in the salad, because hey, who wants to get so serious when eating a salad with apples and candied pecans? Give me a break. Thanks for giving me a place to chill for at least a few hours, and a cater for life, The Kitchen at Preston Trail, there will always be a place for you in my heart.

Pros: A HUGE Fan

Fantastic Breafast!

by wendyyork1

The Kitchen restaurant in Dallas is not only known for their breakfast but catering in Dallas as well! We went to the Kitchen in Dallas for breakfast with friends. We had the Cr?me Brule French toast that is so fantastic my mouth is watering while I write this review. The service is casual for Dallas so prepare to relax and enjoy, the breakfast fantastic. I found this when looking for a sandwich one day and HAVE to recommend the cakes in this review as well. They serve slices of wedding cakes daily, I think they have a wedding catering taste day as well ( call) . The amazing five layer chocolate cake is what I took home after lunch and the piece was so large it kept popping the top off the container. Really, if you are looking for a fantastic breakfast, lunch or a caterer in Dallas , call the kitchen in Dallas, you will be pleasantly surprised at the skills that are hidden in this little gem of a catering and restaurant place.

Pros: Quaint, and yummy!

Cons: a little hard to find. is on the side of Bannana leaf
