Based on the on-line reviews I read about this place I decided to drive down from Frisco to Master tech to fix my brakes (even tough I had other places near by that I could go to)They were very honest, did not try to pull any stunts on me (like I experienced in 121 NTB where they made me change rotors , Calipers and brake pads for more than 900$ where there was no need)In this visit , I needed to change the front brake pads on both sides and the left front rotor needed polishing since the brake pads were worn out completely and caused the rotor to get scratched.the whole thing cost was $230 where in addition I got a 30$ online coupon discount which drop it to $199.On top of this , they told me its going to take couple of hours and they called me back in 1 hour and 50 minutes to tell me the car is ready.great place,and I will come back to have my oil change here.Highly recommended.

Expecting to pay up to $600 on front end repairs that I told them I needed. I paid less than $50. I got sound advice to stay of the curbs & wheel balancing. Thanks Guys

I have never had a bad experience at Mastertech. Like other reviewers comments, they tell you exactly what's wrong, and if something else needs attention, they will tell you it can wait if need be. I always be thankful to Leland, when many years ago I had an old Toyota that had a carburetor problem. I didn't think I had much choice, so I decided to bite the bullet and have it replaced. Later he called me up and told me he was reluctant to put an expensive item in a car that could have another major problem at any time. He configured the original to work fine, as long as I warmed up the engine before driving (which he explained very well). Problem solved. You don't get that type of help very often.

Wayne and the mechanics at Mastertech are wonderful. They never rip you off on car repairs. They explain exactly what the problem is and give a timeline of when you NEED to have the repair done as opposed to upselling your car repairs. You can trust that they are an honest repair shop.

For someone with little to no car knowledge and being female to boot...serving our car was a nightmare. Our car overheated and we didn't know where to get good service without being ripped off. I turned to the internet to read some reviews to see what the people had to say for options. I found information on MasterTech in Plano which was a convenient location for someone living in Plano (near Collin Creek Mall). We had previously taken our car for a maintenance check at Firestone and had a quote from them to compare. Mastertech did the work for about 1/2 the cost, saving us a whopping $460!! We were extremely delighted how helpful the service people were. I got to know them by name, Bill and Wayne and just about everyone we spoke to were helpful and honest and spent plenty of time to educate us on our particular problem. Look on their homepage to get an additional 10% off any service. Really worth the trip!! I just had to write in to confirm the other reviewers had it right!

They quoted me a repair for $370 over the phone. When I went to pick up my car it was only $330.00 They told me the part was cheaper then they thought it would be. These guys are honest

Ford told me I needed a $6,K eng. I called MasterTech and they told me if it needed an new eng they could do it for >$4k. It turned out to be some thing else. I picked it up the next day. Cost $390.00.
