Macaroni Grill used to be my favorite place to get my Italian food fix. Their chicken marsala was the best that I have ever eaten and probably will ever eat. So I used to go there at least once a month to get my favorite meal. I went last

I went there wid a couple of friends friday nite around 8pm and was pleasantly surprised to find that there was no waiting! I ordered a new item on menu - Ravioli and it was horrible. The sauce that was used all watery and tasted like milk. I love to eat raviolis at any italian restaurant and this just spoiled my appetite forever it seems... arrghhh.. I have been to this place before and I have loved it otherwise. The servers in a hurry to lock up the restaurant. I like quick service but as soon as I was seated, bread arrived and our servfer was ready to take the order. and the food arrived in less than 10 minutes. I would advice people to try the place during lunch hour only and stay away from the raviolis ;)

My husband and I went on our second date here and it was a wonderful experience. The food was phenomenal and the service was great. I get the same thing when I go, now: the create-a-pasta dish with spinach, artichokes, and mushrooms with penne pasta and their garlic cream sauce. It's to die for!

Also, calimari is fantastic, so is the artichoke dip. And, I really don't like fried mozarella, but their's is really great. It's more of a chunk of cheese as opposed to a little stick.

Only thing is, sometimes there's a wait. But, the food is well worth the wait, and you can't beat the bargain. We had my pasta dish, the lobster ravioli, an appetizer, and two sodas for about 32 dollars.

I had lunch here last week and was really pleased with both the service and food. This chain is generally unpredictable, but my one experience with this location was completely positive. Ill definitely be back. While we were there a waiter sang Happy Birthday in Italian to a table. What an amazing voice!

Pros: Good Food, Reasonable, Large Portions

Cons: Noisy, Crowded

.

I love the food here. What I don't like are the crowded tables and the noise. It is a good place to go for lunch since it isn't as crowded, but weekend dinners are bound to have a wait, and be very noisy. It is also a great place to take someone with a birthday. Happy Birthday is sung in an operatic manner, by someone with a great voice!

PROS: Great food!
CONS: Loud, open restaurant with no privacy

Romanos Macaroni Grill has the appeal of a family Italian
kitchen where you feel as a guest in a family...not as a customer. You are greated with a taste of wine and a terrific
homemade serving of Italian bread.
Then you are invited to have the antipasto while you decide
on what to eat...choices are difficult to make, but just about
any chicken dish will be an excellent choice.
You are normally given a recommendation on the wine selection that best suits your choice of meal. My favorite
is Vino Bianco, a light and yet not very sweet white wine.
Abundanza!!!

PROS: Good selection and knowledge of wines and apperitifs.
CONS: Salad is charged separate from the meal...pity!

This has got to be my FAVORITE place to eat in the whole world. The food is great and fresh (you can watch the chefs from across the room) and the service is excellent. They're Scallapini de pollo is the whole families favorite dish. The portions are large so there's plenty of leftovers!

PROS: Excellent Service - Excellent Food
CONS: Salads are extra! They should be included in the entree price.

Went on 4th of July and it was decidedly dead, but it still took awhile to get our food and we were not pleased with the service. The bellini was excellent but there was nothing especially italiany about the italian margarita. The artichoke dip appetizer was runny and only average, and the toast that came with it was far too salty. Main courses were no more than ok...the halibut was fine but the pesto orzo was bland, the pasta milano was good, but was less than impressed w/ the classic trio. Don't try the fried candy bar dessert.

Probably my favorite thing about the Macaroni Grill is their bread. It's fresh hot out the oven and you can dip it in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I always end up filling up on the bread becuase it's just too delicious! All their food and desserts are wonderful also.
