It has been several months now since our Sassy girl has been gone and we still have tears but so many wonderful memories of her. We miss her so much. She was glued to my husband. Bobby and I cannot say enough praise for Dr. Steve Knapp and everyone of his staff. They have taken care of our chihuahua furbabies all their lives. The girls just weighed 1 or 2 pounds and Sassy was in a mess when Bobby saved her when she was just 5 weeks old. We went straight to Vet. Clinic on a Sat. They called her Munchin and that became her name even as she grew and acted hateful. She became our protector and barked at everything.I could never trust anyone with my puppy girls health but Dr. Knapp and Dr. Ellison and his staff. My girls have been very spoiled and they pampered them as I would. You are never ready to let go but we knew it was time for Sassy to cross the Rainbow Bridge. She was just so sick and her eyes told us to let her go, she was ready. Dr. Knapp and Dr. Ellison did everything they could and more to save Sassy and still let us take her home each night to hold and love her. They all knew me to and at each surgery I got to bring them home that night to. We stayed with Sassy and held her and told her how we loved her til her little eyes just closed. Not only Bobby and I were crying but all the staff. They loved the little Munchin to.During the years going there I have watched that staff put their heart and soul in the care they give to each animal. They call every animal by name and can tell so much about each one of them. I know everyone there has angel wings and they to have unconditional love for each animal that comes to them. If you are looking for someone to take care of your furbabies as you would want and love them almost as much as you do then Dr. Steve Knapp and his Staff are who you want.Thank you Dr. Steve for being a friend to Bobby and I and to our Sassy and Nola. I know Nola will be taken care of for the rest of her life with the best Drs. and Staff ever.

LOVE this vet! Takes great care of our Shitzu, and took care of our Himalayan until it was time to put her down when her diabetes got too bad to treat. They were very understanding when I was weepy. You CAN go in with your animal when it is euthanized, but they charge $35 extra for this, as your emotional state makes it more difficult for you, for the pet, and for the doctor. It is done very peacefully and compassionately, and it saved me from having to see her in bad shape. They took care of her cremation as well. Prices are very reasonable as well, and the clinic is very clean.

After moving into the Ridglea area 7 years ago, I took my cat to this vet for upper respiratory issues. I dropped her off before work and later that day the vet told me she had pneumonia and was in bad shape. By 5 pm when I called to pick her up, they told me she needed to be euthanized. I asked if I could be present during the procedure (had done this in the past with another pet - never regretted it), was told no, that "wasn't their policy." I then asked to come see her to at least say goodbye, was told no again. They told me I could come "pick up the body" in about 30 minutes. I was the only person this particular cat liked, and I still feel tremendous guilt (yes, 7 years later) about the fact that she died without me and probably felt abandoned and scared with a bunch of strangers in her final hours. The fact that they do not allow presence during euthanization makes me wonder if they are doing something inhumane, or if perhaps my cat died or was killed in their care, and they needed to cover it up. They take your pet from you at the door and do not allow you past the front desk into the exam rooms, which I find extremely suspicious. What goes on back there that they need to hide? I do not trust any vet that won't allow you to stay with your pet and SEE what is happening.

I HATE this clinic, and would never, ever take an animal there again. Do not recommend.

I was previously taking my three dogs to Banfield at Petsmart when someone recommended Ridglea. Before that I used Westcreek and then Metro West. On my first visit we fell in love with the wonderful staff and doctors that took care of our babies. The bill was less than half of what I paid at Banfield for the same services. Now I recommend them to everyone where I work and have already met at least 8 other people that have already been taking their pets there for years! They are truly gracious and I won't take my pets anywhere else ever again. I can't say it enough.

Pros: Tried so many places and they get my vote!

I took my cat to be fixed here, and the prices are great! When you get an animal fixed, the price also covers a stay overnight, to make sure the animal is okay, but if you don't want them to keep them, you can let them know and get him later that day. The main vet used to work there when he was younger, cleaning out the cages. Now that he is grown, he bought the place. My dad has used this vet for a long time, and he also loves this vet. The staff is so friendly and will answer any questions you have.
