I have been sewing for more that 40 years. Recently, I received a serger machine as a gift. I never used a serger before & wanted to take lessons on the basics of serger sewing. Little did I know what a mistake it would be to take lessons @ Sew Much More.
The instructor had absolutely no idea how to use my Baby Lock Serger despite the fact that the exact same machine was on display less than 10 feet away in the showroom. Three times during my hour long lesson, this instructor had to ask the on-site technician to fix the mess she made of my machine. When she attempted to thread the machine with a decorative thread, the machine imploded.
The store manager, was little help. All she did was to tell me that if I had purchased a "high-end" serger, I would not be having these issues. I think the $600.00 price I paid for my machine was high enough for someone just learning to use a serger. The store manager also tried to push her expensive machine threads, telling me that the Gutterman thread I was using were also part of the problem too.(Really???)
I had to leave my brand new machine with these people for a week while they repaired the damage done to it by the instructor. Bottom line...nothing was wrong with the machine before I brought it to my lesson. All of the problems were caused by a lack of expertise using the identical Baby Lock Serger this store was promoting.
Do yourself a favor, use the instructional DVD that came with the machine and avoid this crew @ all costs!

My friend took her sewing machine in for repairs to Sew Much More because it had a loud clicking noise. I offered to pay for the repair as her machine started clicking after I broke a needle while borrowing it. She was charged $100 for the service, was told they could not get rid of the clicking, that her machine must just sound like that and then suggested she consider buying a new machine. I then took the machine to a different repair shop that was able to fix the machine quickly and it now works like a charm. I asked Sew Much More for a refund of their fee as they clearly had not fixed the machine. The manager refused to honor this request even though they state that customer satisfaction is very important to them. I do not think Sew Much More offers reliable repair service.

The manager was very condescending to me! I've been sewing for more than 30+ years and just because I wasn't wanting to spend $5000.plus on their top of the line machines, she acted as though I had some sort of financial problem! Yikes! I just wanted something I could keep threaded for certain mending projects and quick straight stitching. I have the thousand dollar plus machines and wanted a non-computerized easy machine to take with me places and let my kids use! I also was not given a warranty, she said it would be mailed to me?? Plus I was not told what my friend was told- that accessories are discounted 10% for the first year after the machine is purchased. When I first looked at the machines, she acted as though I would not be able to demo it (i.e. use it myself) before purchasing! I had to ASK her to let me try it out!
If you don't walk in wearing Versace and carrying an expensive handbag, watch out, you may not get good customer service!!

I had my Elna sewing machine serviced by Sew Much More 10 years ago and was very pleased by their helpful and friendly service. I have continued to go to them for miscellaneous purchases. I also had a Pfaff machine but was very frustrated with the Pfaff dealership owned by C&C Sewing and Vac, specifically, thie lack of service and their pricing of Pfaff embroidery software. Last summer I decided to look at other embroidery software compatible with my Pfaff embroidery machine. Sew Much More had the perfect fit in the BabyLock Palette 6.0. They offered me a great deal, which included training and a great workbook. Because of their great service and helpful staff, I decided to trade it in my Pfaff and purchase a new machine. I am so glad I did! Not only am I happy with the service and training they provide, I love my new BabyLock Elegante. I feel like I've moved into a new world of sewing:) The Elegante is like the Rolls Royce of sewing machines! Very expensive but well worth it.

This is a small store that offers used and new sewing machines and accessories. They have a small staff that is well trained in sewing and are capable of answering sewing related questions. My wife bought a used sewing machine there. She ended up having lots of questions regarding the machine and they let her bring her machine in and helped her get to know it. They offer a variety of sewing and quilting classes, and they often have sales specials.
